So on the subject of the savior known as James Cameron
In a perfect world...

1979: Alien...Ridley Scott..Perfect..don't change a thing...
 

1984: Terminator...James Cameron...Perfect..don't change a thing...
 

1986: Aliens...James Cameron. Same movie, but in the end they will go back to earth with an Alien egg with a queen ready to hatch.. although they don't know it....
 

1992: Terminator 2 Judgment Day...James Cameron (Preparation for judgment day..training John Connor as a kid in the jungles/deserts with Sarah Connor enlisting anyone she can shack up with to train her and John.
Bring back Arnold as the terminator to help train John...show lots of future footage as flashbacks described by the terminator, show future John Connor fighting Skynet...Show Kyle Reese as well in the future.. This prepares for the next Terminator movie...

Existing Alien 3...sucked..forget it!

Existing Alien 4...sucked..forget it!

Existing Terminator 3...Sucked..forget it!

Existing Terminator Salvation...forget it....wasn't bad..but forget it anyways...MCG should stick to making commercials for childrens toys...

New Terminator 3..James Cameron. Takes place in the future only...opening sequence...Older Sarah Connor dies saving Grown up John...T600 Terminator kills her and wounds John in the process...hence the face scars..John has only one purpose now...and plenty of motivation...
Imagine hungreds of Terminators marching through the wastelands killing everyone...John Connor needs to build his army to fight Skynet...while at the same time making sure Kyle is protected and prepared to go back in time and save young Sarah...YES RATED "R"..a HARD "R"

New Terminator 4...James Cameron.
John builds his army, fights Skynet, send Kyle Reese back...Wins war becasue of the success of keeping Sarah alive in 1984...
There is no celebration...too many people die defeating Skynet...
Just John and the remaining resistance looking over the wastland..sober ending...
Think the end of the movie Apocalypse Now as an example...YES RATED "R"..a HARD "R"

New Alien 3..JAmes Cameron..
War on earth...Aliens win....simple....
Humans too busy F**king each other over for a GodD**n percentage to stop the attacks
..Something like that....

Titanic...New plot...Doc Brown goes back in time , lands on the Titanic with his flying delorean...gives the captain Radar and tells him to turn his ship the other way...everone lives...end of story...
Except...the Delorean hits the iceberg by accident and sinks (the car didn't have it's high beams on), Doc Brown gets out and stays on the Titanic, becomes the new inventor of Windows...30 years earlier....
Let MCG direct that one....

No Cameron Titanic, Cameron is too busy making the above movies that save his franchises...

Then of course, The abyss ....somewhere in that mix...

God I miss the good old days of the classic action movies of the 80's and 90's

I would like to see a Mad Max 4

It needs a new title though.

How about:

"Mad Max: The Warrior's Road"

 The government is allowing main stream media to slowly integrate the idea of the existence of  aliens into pop culture so we ( the masses) will gradually and safely integrate them into our belief system.

We ( the masses) are not ready for what is "probably" all things known when it comes to the existence of Aliens, ect.

Plus when you control and partition information to the (idiot) public, you maintain power.

Ironically, if this is true (alien abductions, ect) the ones who think they are in power with such knowledge only end up one step below these alien beings on the food chain, and one step above the masses who don't know or don't believe out of fear.

If this movie depicts what is actually happening, there would be a breakdown of social order throughout the world.

Either way, we are in for something that we cannot control. Ever.

There was no need for Terminator 2 in the way it was made.
Cameron should have either waited to make a proper sequal when the technology caught up to his vision of the war post judgement day, or not go back in time again.

For example: Skynet brings the T800 back in time to kill Sarah Connor in 1984
It fails.
Skynet would then logically bring back the T1000 back to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, after Reese dies.
It's thinking would be that the T800 was not effective for it's mission, so bring back a more efficient 
machine to accomplish the mission.
Time travel is not linear, Skynet could send any machine back to any time it wanted to over and over again, and eventually complete it's mission.

The T1000 would have easily and effectively terminated 1984's Sarah Connor.

T2 was made only for the money, unlike Cameron's first movie.

The new plot (for T2) should have been for the resistance to prevent Skynet from  time traveling again post judgement day, while at the same time defeating Skynet.

No one else (i.e machine) goes back, John Connor lives to defeat Skynet.

Oh yeah, forget Terminator 3, it was useless and was only made to fill theater seats because Arnold was in it.

Lastly....

Christian Bale was good fit for the John Connor character.
Salvation's director sucks. Period.

Hollywood didn't really care about the franchise to give to a serious director, they knew it would have made money in spite of itself....hence McG.

Cameron made a strong enough brand in the Terminator franchise that watering it down to nothing didn't matter.

Put the title Terminator on the big screen, market it enough to the PG13 idiot generation, and the kiddies will see it.

A better director would have brought out the character in Bale.
