TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES: Goodbye to All That - Oct 08, 2008 - 07:39am
the "magic" bullet has always been around but never used before - that's what i couldn't figure out. the magic bullet used was a 12.7 mm (.50 caliber) round. it's been around before world war 2. unless the t888's have some kind of advanced metal alloy, my assumption was that a .50 would/should be used against them instead of 5.56 (m-16's, etc.,) or shotgun slugs/buckshot. the military currently uses this round as an "anti-material" round (against light armour) and as a very long distance sniper round. the major drawback about using this round and any rifle or heavy machine gun designed to fire it is WEIGHT - pretty much impossible for an individual to lug it around and try to run while fighting t888's. only time they could be used is if the human could be stationary and had time (which in this episode, he conveniently did). my major problem with the show is the continuity issues that they are bringing up. moreover, why use outdated t888's when more advanced/deadly models are around? i think lena is far superior as sarah connor. john needs to stop being so whiny and immature. hobbs: reece figured it out on his own. in an episode, for john's birthday, reece took john for an icecream cone and showed john kyle (his dade) and reece as young kids throwing a football.
