Screw Tarzan, bring me my Magic King For Sale....SOLD! Film for god sakes!

TV Wasteland: What to Watch this Fall, or Not? - Sep 02, 2008 - 08:55am
Thank god for DVR's as there are to many shows I am interested in seeing this year. As far as new things go I will be checking out Dollhouse, Fringe, True Blood, Sanctuary, My Own Worse Enemy, and Crusoe. Not sure about how the last two of those will be but thus far I like True Blood and Sanctuary. Then I still have normal shows like Stargate, Eureka, BSG, Supernatural, Smallville, Chuck, Reaper (eventually), Lost, Terminator, Entourage, Californication, Dexter and of course Heroes.

Box Office: THUNDER Wins a Slow Labor Weekend - Sep 02, 2008 - 08:41am
Well its about time these crappy unfunny parody films are finally opening so poorly. Maybe the teens of America are finally developing a taste for something besides the same rehashed jokes. Though I think my cousin wants to see it still, so probably not.

BABYLON A.D - Sep 02, 2008 - 08:37am
I always love when reviewers feel the need to toss the phrase "Worst of all time" in to their reviews. Does it make your review that much more powerful? I have yet to see it, I will rent or pick it up cheap on dvd, but I hardly doubt its the worst big budget scifi movie of all time. Not with all the shit floating around the dvd shelves currently.

Latest Full Trailer for MAX PAYNE - Aug 29, 2008 - 11:34am
"As the mystery deepens, Max is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world and face an unthinkable betrayal." I think this combined with the Valk's from the trailer make for an excellent swerve. Based on those two things the average movie goer is going to conclude that this is a Supernatural based movie as opposed to hallucinations and dream type sequences. Beyond the natural world does not automatically equal demons and 'vultures'. But my personal belief is that it refers to his addiction (Remember pills are man made and not natural, or 'beyond the natural world') and the effects of it on his mental state causing these hallucinatory incidents. I think the trailer is causing what they wanted, some confusion and debate on what the end product is going to be and I think that if they can keep a lid on it for awhile it may actually drive up more interest in the film, which is always good. Either way I am there opening night, I have not been so excited about a movie trailer since TDK trailer was dropped on us.

Madhouse to Produce Wolverine and Iron Man Anime - Aug 26, 2008 - 09:18am
I'll be interested in checking this out. I wouldn't mind seeing a different approach to these for an anime series.

Vin Diesel: RIDDICK Sequels Still Possible - Aug 26, 2008 - 09:02am
I'm definitely down for some more Riddick. Hopefully they get the ball rolling, I will probably catch Babylon A.D. at a matinée this weekend.

STARGATE ATLANTIS Movie Greenlit by Sci-Fi - Aug 22, 2008 - 10:48am
As much as I am pissed about the SGA cancellation I look forward to SGU immensely. As far as the SciFi Exec talking about reaching for a Younger audience I have to say this is one of the few times I have no worries about that comment. I think the SGA/SG1/SGU producers will do just fine. Young does not necessarily mean crap. In this day and age reaching for a younger audience is a smart move from many stand points. If the cast is the age of Supernatural I think we will be fine. I'm looking forward to the new series myself but I will miss Atlantis as much as I miss SG-1.

Marks Updates on HACK/SLASH and STREET FIGHTER - Aug 12, 2008 - 11:07am
Well they do not need to do a full origin for the Hack/Slash movie. All they need is a small 5 minute scene or a couple spread out flashbacks. In the comic book Cassie's origin is explained fast, good and without drawing it out. Pick up the comic and check it out, its well worth it.

Gyllenhaal Caught on Camera as PRINCE - Aug 12, 2008 - 11:04am
I am amazed at how he looks. Looks like this film is on the right track.

Game Review: Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures Game and Booster Pack - Aug 11, 2008 - 10:54am
First off. Clearly miniatures are not a tough sell (I run an Ebay business and they sell well). If they were that tough of a sell WotC would not keep producing 2-3 new sets each year. WotC is friggin notorious for dropping unprofitable products like a bad habit (Dreamblade anyone?) You do not need miniatures to play 4th edition (Just like you DO NOT NEED the eventual online tools to play 4th edition). These are extra bells and whistles for those who don't mind dropping some extra money to enhance their gaming. If you don't like them that's fine, You don't even need a grid map. All you need is a dm with half a brain that can keep track and tell you how far the enemies are away from you. Sure D&D Miniatures are integrated and the game is designed heavily around the miniature aspect. Why wouldn't it be? WotC is a business and they have found a way to turn a profit and kill their competition (Mage Knight minis were heavily being used for 3.5 until DND Minis) But you can grab a piece of paper and draw a quick grid on it and use spare changed, crumpled paper, some extra dice... shit even some chewed up gum to cover the grid aspect and spend little to know extra money.

Rumor: Linda Hamilton is Back for TERMINATOR? - Aug 06, 2008 - 12:19pm
I hope this turns out to be true. But I won't get excited till its official.

Rumor: Linda Hamilton is Back for TERMINATOR? - Aug 06, 2008 - 12:11pm
I hope this turns out to be true. But I won't get excited till its official.

Fishburne Replacing Petersen in CSI? - Aug 06, 2008 - 08:16am
Malkovich really seems like he would be a great fit for this role. I have only watched the first season of CSI though so I won't likely be catching any episodes with the newer actors anytime soon.

Helena Bonham Carter Reveals Loyalty for TERMINATOR - Aug 05, 2008 - 01:07pm
I am definitely interested in seeing who/what her character is when this films releases.

DARK KNIGHT Fastest to $400 Million - Aug 05, 2008 - 01:05pm
I'll be happy if it knocks Titanic on its metal ass.

New Photos for SAW V Online - Aug 05, 2008 - 08:19am
The Saw films are very cheap to produce and always make their money back. I actually like that one comes out each year. I like seeing the strange twists and traps used. They are not great films but quick fun.

Box Office: KNIGHT Slides Past The Mummy - Aug 04, 2008 - 11:04pm
Rating Mummy based on Mania ratings I would give it a B- Personally I enjoyed it more than the Mummy Returns and the reactions of the audience I watched it with were enthusiastic.

WB's MARVIN THE MARTIAN Flies to the Big Screen - Jul 30, 2008 - 08:15am
Marvin has always been one of my favorite cartoon characters, so I am very interested to see how this turns out.

Singer Takes to the Future with FORMULA - Jul 25, 2008 - 08:26am
Damn Radical Publishing is on a Roll with getting their properties optioned lately. Calibur, Hercules and Now Formula. They have an Aladdin adaptation coming up that looks really good. I would love to see a live action Aladdin if the comic turns out to be good like their other properties.

DVD Review of Superhero Movie Extended Edition - Jul 22, 2008 - 08:52am
Yeah Hanso, I have seen the trailer for Disaster Movie. They aren't even trying anymore. Now they are just parodying popular movie trailers, not even waiting for the full films to come out. Thats ok though, we need some dumb entertainment to keep the teenagers of the world entertained. We don't want them thinking to hard, it may hurt their brains.

John Woo Takes on Comic CALIBER - Jul 17, 2008 - 03:18pm
Issue #1 of Calibur is only $1.00 so I would check it out if you have some time. Its good. I would also like to see a great Woo film. Overall I have enjoyed most of not all of them. But I would just like to see him make something great again. Who knows, this could be it /shrug

John Woo Takes on Comic CALIBER - Jul 17, 2008 - 08:41am
Nice. I love Calibur. Radical comics has a great lineup thus far. Hopefully everything works out properly. I would love that more and more independent comic properties are being optioned. There are many great titles out there.

First Trailer for MAX PAYNE Leaked - Jul 11, 2008 - 08:19am
Celt6, I believe as you do. The Vultures/Angels whatever you want to call them seemed to me to come off as a more symbolic effect than a "Look there are monsters... Rawr!" I am totally hyped about this, I really hope it turns out well.

DreamWorks Planning KUNG FU PANDA 2 - Jun 26, 2008 - 01:08pm
Personally I liked it alot more than any of the Shrek films, including the original. Can't wait for the dvd, glad a sequel is in the works.

Comicscape: Five Successes in Mainstream Comics - Jun 04, 2008 - 09:26am
Great article. I was never that big into comics when I was in my teens or younger. But now it my late 20's I have begun to read more and more (mostly thanks to friends). By far I prefer to read independent press and my pull list has grown to anywhere to 15-25 books a week now. I have come to realize comics are like crack to me lol..

NBC Unleashes Fall Premiere Dates - May 27, 2008 - 03:05am
Sweet! Life, Heroes and Chuck will be back on my TV soon. I hope Crusoe turns out well.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN - May 16, 2008 - 11:35am
Just another bad Mania review I guess. Friends who have seen this already today (Damn me and work!) have said they loved it. All the reviews I have read this far are saying its at least as good if not better than the first. So yes, I will be seeing this movie tonight and likely enjoying myself immensely during it.

Activision Announces BIG ADVENTURE for PITFALL - May 13, 2008 - 11:28am
I am also surprised they have never tried making a pitfall movie. I'm sure after Indy comes out and becomes the obvious box office smash that it will we will see more movies of these type popping up on the horizon. Perhaps a new Tomb Raider will be done as well.

CW Gives REAPER Renewal - May 13, 2008 - 11:21am
Awesome news indeed. This show has continued to get better imo. The actor they have playing the devil is just perfect for the role also, that smile really creeps me out.

After Dark Sets Two Horror Films - May 08, 2008 - 08:13am
People like B movies. Its quick turn off your brain entertainment. As they likely get these cheap they probably spend most of their money on some cheaper commercial deals. Though I think it would be cooler if they took got permission to re-release some classic horror movies from various decades and do that instead.

Fox is off to WAR - May 08, 2008 - 08:09am
Should just call it Small Soldiers: Little Big War

CALIBER #1 - May 07, 2008 - 03:36pm
I have it sitting on my shelf, perhaps I will finally get to it tonight. One thing I have to agree with is the art. All Radicals book are just beautiful drawn and painted. The free comic day Radical preview had shots of artwork from all there upcoming series. While I am interested in them all the ones that jumps out at me most at this moment is Aladdin, I have never seen a more badass looking version of Aladdin, I can't wait to see how it turns out. Seriously though, if the rest of these books they are releasing are half as good as the art I will be very happy with them.

New Full HANCOCK Trailer Online - May 02, 2008 - 09:11am
Loving the new trailer.

IRON MAN - May 02, 2008 - 08:23am
This movie was so awesome I plan on going to see it again. Downey company were amazing in their roles. I don't think I ever once had that comic book fan "Ugh" feeling when something comes across as completely cheesy and that is a rare thing. Amazing job by everybody on this film, I can't wait to see a sequel. It's definitely a great start to the Summer Movies and has really hyped me up on other films coming out. And because I loved the film so much my avatar will be changed over to an Iron Man one until the film is knocked out of the top 10! This film deserves as much promotion as it can get.

Lockup Issues Reported for GTA IV - May 01, 2008 - 08:32am
Mine should be sitting on the kitchen table when I walk into the house after Work (and Iron Man) tonight. Can't wait to check it out.

Weisz Adapting Horror Game CLOCK TOWER - May 01, 2008 - 08:29am
The original Clock Tower was one creepy ass game. I would love to see a movie based on this. But as it is a video game movie I will have to wait till there is more info on the project before I can even make a partial judgment on this.

Sideshow Collectibles Spotlight: Clone Wars' Asajj Ventress - Apr 29, 2008 - 10:47am
That is one awesome looking Asajj.

Del Toro Confirmed for HOBBIT Films - Apr 25, 2008 - 12:18pm
From what I remember Tolkien had ridiculous amounts of notes of events that happened before, after during and between the novels. Some very detailed, some vaguely detailed. I know when I write and such I have tons of information that I don't necessarily share with people. Its there in case I need it and my own personal satisfaction of knowing whats going on here and there at different times. I am sure they can put together a solid film based on his notes and ideas.

NYCC: The X-Files Panel Wrap Up - Apr 25, 2008 - 08:33am
As much as I am looking forward to Ironman, Hulk, Batman, Indiana Jones and Narnia THIS is the movie I am most anxious to see this summer. I can't wait till it finally hits theaters.

Del Toro Confirmed for HOBBIT Films - Apr 25, 2008 - 08:22am
I think if anyone is able to make these films turn out great besides Jackson it would be Del Toro and I can't friggin wait till 2011 now.

NFF: Trailer Park of Terror - Apr 23, 2008 - 08:09am
I'll still be checking this out when I have a chance. If it sucks it sucks and I can still read my TPoT comics and enjoy those.

Potterverse Threatened - Apr 22, 2008 - 12:25pm
I think "I'm a bitch and I want more money." pretty much sums this up. Yes its her property but she didn't have a problem with the website until she wanted to make her own version. These type of archives exist out there for tons of different products and fantasy worlds. There are plenty of 'unauthorized' products out there and no one cares. But this is Harry Potter so the property owners need to milk the shit out of it as much as possible. I bet you she had no plans on even releasing anything like this until she realized how popular this site is.

The Adventures of Baron Munchausen 20th Anniversary Edition - Apr 22, 2008 - 12:17pm
One of my favorite movies growing up. Its been a few years since i watched it but I have always loved this film.

New SW: CLONE WARS Pics Online - Apr 22, 2008 - 10:53am
I don't mind the new style. While something more Advent Childrenish (Albeit Watered down for cost effectiveness) would have been great I have no problems with this style. Looking forward to the TV Show, just wish we had more to go on for the Live Action. Besides this one is targeted more towards a younger audience and contrary to popular belief there is nothing wrong with that. The younger Generation is what will keep Star Wars alive when we are all dead and gone. Adults have the live action to look forward to.

Screen Gems Scores at the PROM - Apr 14, 2008 - 03:50am
Wow can we get these friggin advertisements under control at some point? 1/3 of this article has been cut off by an AVP advertisement.

Mummy Joe, Babylon Butchered & Bloom Madness! - Apr 11, 2008 - 08:21am
I actually want to see Babylon AD, I enjoy Vin films. But if the movie is cut down by as much as the rumour suggest I will not likely even bother until dvd. I will not go to the theatres to see a movie that has had literally half of it cut out. Also sick of this dumbing down crap that Hollywood likes doing these days. PG-13 movies are fine, but I am sick to shit of seeing things brought to PG-13 just for a buck.

Justin Marks Penning HACK/SLASH - Apr 09, 2008 - 09:01am
As a reader of the comic from pretty much day 1 I can tell you Cassie Hack and Vlad do not hunt down Jason or Myers or Freddy. They hunt down 'Slashers' which is basically the classification type given to characters such as Myers, Voorhees etc. They don't need to hunt down these well known characters they have their cast of killers and it works out great. XO, Ashley, Father Wrath. They are all great characters. Chucky is the only mainstream horror icon to appear in the comic series in a crossover, which was actually quite good and was worked into the main storyline unlike most crossovers. Rogue pictures owns the rights to Chucky currently I thought? He could always appear in the film if they wanted. You should really check out the comic book. Most of the series in in TPB form now, there is even a giant ass omnibus. Everyone we have convinced to try out Hack/Slash in our comic store has become a subscriber to it, if you like horror you will likely love this.

SAINTS ROW 2 Has A Release Date - Apr 07, 2008 - 01:35pm
Yeah GTA IV will sell better there is no doubt about that But coming in and dropping one sentence about how one game will 'own' the other is the type of crap that sets of ridiculous arguments, do we really need more of those? With the 4 months of space in between the releases there is more than enough time to purchase and play both imo, which is what I plan to do of course (On the 360, yay downloadable content). But once I play GTA to death SR2 will be right around the corner, with full storyline Co-Op to boot and that will rock.

SAINTS ROW 2 Has A Release Date - Apr 07, 2008 - 01:51am
Awesome. I loved the first one to death. Being able to make your own character is one of the big thing that draws me to any video game and I am looking forward to this more than GTAIV. I really hope they manage to get back all the surviving characters back in with the original voice cast. Especially Keith David and Daniel Dae Kim.

TROPIC THUNDER Trailer Online - Mar 18, 2008 - 12:53am
I can't wait. A spoof film that doesn't look like ass. God its been awhile.

NECA's Goblin King Returns - Mar 17, 2008 - 11:57am
I will definitely be picking up a set of these when they come out. Labyrinth is still one of my favorite movies of all time. Wish they would do a sequel. I have enjoyed the Manga sequels Tokyo pop has been putting out.

HORTON Hears a Victory - Mar 16, 2008 - 03:44pm
Doomsday answers that one question no on ever had on their mind. What happens when you throw Resident Evil, Escape from N.Y., Death Race, Mad Max, James Bond and the Lord of the Rings into a blender? You get doomsday. I agree Merin. Doomsday was a fun movie, not a spectacular one but a fun one. I was expecting to go in and see another very watered down Post Apoc movie and was pleasantly surprised at the carnage unleashed in this film.

First Pics from Smith's PORNO and THUNDER - Mar 05, 2008 - 01:14pm
Damn good makeup job there.

Don't Believe the Hype - Mar 05, 2008 - 09:06am
Our store is definitely Marvel fanbased. As far as Marvel goes all I read are the X-titles and the occasional non superhero titles they pop out (Dark Tower). I just got back into X-Men and loved Messiah complex and am enjoying the fallout from that series. Have never really been a big DC fan, Batman and Green Arrow being about the extent of my interest. I read a ton of independent, that is the way to go imo. There are some great titles out there. Hack/Slash is one I HIGHLY suggest as well as the walking dead. I can't help but hope Showtime or HBO grab up rights to the walking dead as a tv serious is would be awesome.

DRAGONBALL Pushed to April 2009 - Mar 05, 2008 - 06:33am
Just buy the season sets funimation is now putting out

Sneak Peek at SG1: Ark of Truth - Mar 04, 2008 - 04:35am
Sonuva... They are sullying my Ark of Truth dvd with a goddamn Uwe Boll film trailer.... Nooooooooooooooooooo

Sorvino Looking For LAST TEMPLAR - Mar 04, 2008 - 04:33am
Sounds interesting. DC didn't offend me. I don't think anything can offend me... besides Uwe Boll..

CW Renews Smallville and Supernatural - Mar 03, 2008 - 04:30pm
I am still enjoying Smallville quite a bit. Of course I am not a Superman fan so that likely helps. I know the major players in the DC universe and a general idea of what they do and such. About the only DC comics I ever really got into was Green Arrow and Batman. I like Ollie in Smallville, would love to see a spinoff for the character. I think Smallville has some goods years left in it. I am sure there are some other things from the comic series they can do 'Their Way' in the series. Supernatural. That makes me very happy. Ever since seeing the first episode online for free a few weeks before it aired I have been hooked. I love what they have done this season and I can't wait to see how it plays out into the next.

Dimension Grabs Hill's LOCKE & KEY - Feb 26, 2008 - 02:30am
Do a smidge of research before you start complaining about this 'kids fantasy film'. This is most definitely not a children's movie. It's pretty damn violent. I got the first issue when it came into the comic shop I work at this week. One guy gets his head blown off, another guy gets hits skull bashed in with a brick and yet another takes a hatchet to the back of his skull. The language isn't 100% kid friendly either.

Official INDIANA JONES Teaser Online - Feb 14, 2008 - 08:50am
Lucas is an idea guy. He comes up with great ideas and settings for films. But if left alone to control the whole thing that is where it goes down hill fast. I wish he would realize that his real strength is coming up with ideas and concepts and then get other people to guide those ideas and keep him in check. Anyways, on topic now. That trailer looked great, can't wait to see the film.

Make This a Better World for Maniacs - Feb 11, 2008 - 12:43pm
I would prefer to type cinescape in the address bar myself. Better coverage for video games, comics and novels.

Audiences Hunt After FOOL'S GOLD - Feb 11, 2008 - 12:34pm
Hayden is definitely a much better actor than he is given credit for. As several before me have suggested try watching 'Life as a House'. Don't every judge anyone's acting skills based on Lucas's direction, he can get the shittiest performances out of the best actors, I am kinda surprised you have not figured that out yet. Anyways this week I am likely going to see Both Spiderwick and Jumper. I have been interested in Spiderwick since I saw the original trailer, even before I knew the Indy trailer would be attached. Jumper just looks cool. Short running time means it hopefully won't hit and dull moments, but hopefully it doesn't feel rush either.

McG Reveals Info on TERMINATOR - Feb 06, 2008 - 08:32pm
I'm sorry but Robert Patrick did not look intimidating what so ever when I first saw magazine articles on him as a Terminator. But he pulled it off with his language, eyes, cold stares etc. All you people bitching about him not looking intimidating should seriously stfu and wait till a trailer is released. If he looks unintimidating then start your moaning. I could care less if the new Termininator is not steroided up. If every terminator was all muscle bound wtf would the point be? The resistance would be like "Look he has muscles, he must be a terminator, blow his ass up!" That's why they have synthetic flesh, to blend the **** in and deceive humans.

Raimi Moving Forward with WIZARD'S FIRST RULE - Jan 29, 2008 - 08:20am
Personally I would love to see David Eddings Elenium trilogy on tv before his other ones. It was one of the first fantasy series I got into.

SPARTANS Grab Victory Against Rambo - Jan 28, 2008 - 03:14pm
I almost went to see Spartans... Not by personal choice mind you. I saw Rambo on friday, that was great. But my aunt called me and asked me if I would take my little cousin to see it because he wanted to. Thankfully I was asleep and the answering machine picked up because I would have felt somewhat obligated to go because I do not see him that much. Again, thankfully I was sleeping.

Fivesome Become PUBLIC ENEMIES - Jan 28, 2008 - 01:27pm
Personally I couldn't stand Miami Vice and I was really looking forward to it. I hope this turns out better because I love the cast.

New TV Series Based on CRASH - Jan 28, 2008 - 01:24pm
I actually hope this series is well done and does well for Starz. Not because I personally care to watch it but because I would like to see Starz put together a full fledged original series program like HBO and Showtime do. Dexter, Entourage, Weeds, Californication etc are some of my favorite shows on TV and I would be interested in seeing what they could come up with.

Update: Ledger's Autopsy Is Inconclusive - Jan 22, 2008 - 02:21pm
Yeah.. I just saw this on Yahoo's main page. This was pretty much the last thing I expected to be reading today. Pretty friggin crazy,

Apple iTunes and Studios Begin Movie Rentals - Jan 15, 2008 - 11:01pm
I am happy about this for one reason and one reason only. It make netflix step up with their service. My 17 hours of streaming video went to unlimited because of this and that makes me happy. Though they still have a ways to go to get some more variety up I expect netflix to really step it up with new video content. I have pretty much been in the middle of an anime marathon since the night before it went live.

Haggis Looking For RANGER'S APPRENTICE - Jan 07, 2008 - 11:13pm
Animated Dragonlance comes out next tuesday TKay. I don't mind these sort of fantasy movies but it is becoming severely dissapointing that they keep adapting every book that has a random 8-12 year old hero in it. Dragonlance and Realms could both be awesome live action but with the failures of the previous DND movies that shit is not happening anytime soon. There are so many fantasy series I think could be adapted well to the big screen if they took a little time and patience. Some I would really like to see would be Shannara (Terry BRooks - Currently in pre-production we will see if it every makes it out of that stage). The Elenium Trilogy (David Eddings) The Dark Sword Trilogy (Margaret Weis & Hickman) The Sovereign Stone Trilogy (Weis & Hickman) The Wayfarer Redemption Series (Sara Douglas) Those are just a few of the ones I can think of offhand that I think would be nice to see on the big screen. Harry Potter will be done in a few years and Warner bros does have the rights to Shannara so perhaps they could turn that into a nice franchise when the Harry Potter cash cow ends. People clearly want to see these types of movies, they just need to start choosing better and putting more work into doing them right.

Three Clips from DUNGEON SIEGE - Jan 07, 2008 - 10:57pm
Haha I swear clip three it sounds like he says "And our king proudly fights in the name of ALE!" God this movie is going to be bad.

ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM - Dec 26, 2007 - 10:45am
I enjoyed the movie but I agree on some of these points here. The movie was to dark. Trying to recapture the feeling of the original alien movie is just not going to work here. Not with this type of film. If this was just an alien movie dark would have been great and helped set the mood. But I think it did more harm than good to the film. I don't expect daylight but I would like to see whats going on. Not to mention there are several annoying cuts from kills in the film as well. We also really didn't need 20-30 minutes of setup for characters in the film that became bait and fodder anyways. Especially when most of these subplots lead nowhere. Hopefully they have a fair amount of stuff to add to a dvd release to make all these subplots mean something. I think it was definitely better than the first one. With a few minor adjustments the film could have been great.

Little Pegged to Direct TEKKEN - Dec 20, 2007 - 02:18am
Heihachi better be tossing Kazuya off a cliff. I know little of the Director's work. Looks like he has directed episodes for several popular shows so I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until I see some trailer footage. Its a fairly simple concept. People hit each other for 90-120 or so minutes loosely packed around a story. It could be a good action film if people don't expect to be changed by seeing it. Of course it could end up being Mortal Kombat 2 lol...

Chow the 'Master' in DRAGONBALL - Dec 20, 2007 - 02:08am
F*** yes.

Your Thoughts on the Top 10 Lists... - Dec 17, 2007 - 05:32pm
These are the things I have enjoyed most this year. I have chosen 10 of each but they are in no particular order. TV Dexter Californication Heroes Weeds Pushing Daisies Chuck Reaper Supernatural Life Stargate Atlantis There are still several shows that I have Tivo'd that I plan on watching when I get the time. But those are what stand out the most to me atm. For movies I would say (Again in no real order) 300 I Am Legend Beowulf Superbad Saw IV Born Ultimatum Transformers Live Free Die Hard Smokin Aces Golden Compass

LOST Season 4 Debuts January 31 - Dec 16, 2007 - 02:08am
Oprah needs to eat herself into a coma.

Rossum, Tamura & Park Cast in DRAGON BALL Z - Dec 16, 2007 - 02:07am
his name is Martin Klebba. Not only is he height appropriate but I believe I saw him on scrubs once or twice and he was pretty funny so he would definitely work for me.

SUPERNATURAL: A Very Supernatural Christmas - Dec 16, 2007 - 01:40am
C+? Um no. Solid B or B- at least. Every episode this season has been solid, including the other episode you did not like (Which I believe was another Holiday one). Seems like you are just biased against holiday episodes in general. Eh to each his own I guess.

I AM LEGEND - Dec 14, 2007 - 11:42pm
The movie was much better than this review gives credit imo. Seems like all reviews either rate to high or to low nowadays. Smiths performance in this movie was great and I would personally give it a B+ but not quite an A. Still better than most of the shit dropped in theatres all year.

Fleischer Ready to Helm ZOMBIELAND - Dec 14, 2007 - 03:45pm
raa2001 should be banned from posting for 5-10 years? If you are sick of zombie movies I have a simple solution. Don't watch them. It really is simple as that.

The Top 10 Worst Genre Films of All Time - Dec 10, 2007 - 11:38pm
With all the horrid genre films out there this is the top 10 you come up with? WTF? This guy should not be allowed to write articles, please stop him from doing so in the future...

THE GOLDEN COMPASS - Dec 07, 2007 - 11:42pm
Just got back from the movie and throughly enjoyed it. There was one seen specifically where the entire audience cheered (Those of you who have seen the movie know what scene I am talking about) I have not read the book(s) but it seemed like a lot was cut from the way the story flowed. But overall a very enjoyable movie and I plan on picking the dark materials to read very soon. I really hope the movie does well enough to green light other books in the series. On a final note, armored polar bears = Greatest Idea Ever :)

Three More Added For THE X-FILES 2 - Dec 06, 2007 - 01:14pm
Just because someone is a rapper does not mean they can't act. Thats just like assuming someone is a Nazi because they are German. I have seen him in several films and he is not bad at all, in fact I thought he was very good in Grid Iron Gang as did many people. Grow the **** up people. If the film comes out and he is horrible feel free to rip him a new one, until then learn to give people a chance...

Bruckheimer Talks PRINCE OF PERSIA - Dec 04, 2007 - 08:05pm
Can't friggin wait for this. I have enjoyed the a lot of the video game movies that have come out. Minus all that shit Dr. Boll has to screw up. Silent Hill is still my favorite adaptation yet. But Silent Hill has a small loyal fanbase and its needs to be rated R. If they do this at a Hard PG-13 and do it well this could be the video game movie that makes people realize how to do it right.

Castle Bright Options 10TH MUSE Comic - Dec 04, 2007 - 08:00pm
I thought it was Renee Mero (Sable from WWF) who was originally used for the likeness (And ONLY her likeness) of 10th Muse, I could be wrong though its been awhile. I have not had a chance to read this yet, which is sad since a lot of people tell me its good and I work in a comic shop lol. I hope to get around to reading it before the movie hits. I am always down for anything based on Greek Mythology.

How Long Before Your Shows Go Dark? - Nov 30, 2007 - 09:41pm
I agree with Daforce on Jericho. If there ever was a time to work on getting the fanbase back into it and pulling new viewers in that time is now. Replay the first season and run adds promoting the upcoming second season, especially run these adds at the start and during the credit rolls to get people interested. Most of my TV shows will be dark in a few weeks so it looks like I will finally get the time to catch up on some comic reading!

New Line Travels to PLANET 51 - Nov 27, 2007 - 08:47am
Because though regular movie goers like me and you will go to see a movie just if it looks good a large part of the casual and family movie goer base will flock if that favorite actor or actress is in the film.

Daniel Craig Updates on BOND 22 - Nov 26, 2007 - 12:58pm
I think the last Bond film was great as well. I love Craig as Bond, but I also miss the gadgets and the over the top villains as well.

Jet Li Breaks Salary Record for WARLORDS - Nov 26, 2007 - 12:55pm
I have no idea where the comment is. But if I recall I believe he said that he would not be doing any more historical epics "where the main focus of the story is that his character is some legendary martial artist." That does not cut out period pieces entirely. I think this is just another situation where people read his comments but did not think for more than a second about what they actually read and are now making assumptions. Again, I could be wrong.

BEOWULF Wins B.O. Battle - Nov 19, 2007 - 12:09am
I saw this in Imax 3D last night and damn was it awesome.

Another BOURNE Adventure for Damon? - Oct 19, 2007 - 12:40pm
If you don't like the movies then don't watch them you fool! I don't go down to the supermarket and demand they stop selling crap I don't like. "Der I don't like them, they shouldn't be made..." Now onto the subject at hand. I enjoyed all the Bourne movies, I really couldn't choose a favorite out of them. But the movie was definitely a hit, it was still in my local theater last week which is remarkable for my area. The third one was a good end to the trilogy, but if they had a good idea for a new story I am down for another. Perhaps wait a few years and do Bourne when he is a bit older.

Raimi Insists Jackson Should Do HOBBIT - Oct 17, 2007 - 12:57pm
Looks like we have new line by the balls on this one. We want Jackson and so does everyone else they talk to, even the directors they try to sign for the film!

Fox Greenlights JJ Abrams' FRINGE - Oct 06, 2007 - 09:54am
What a surprise, Metalwater just mentioned something sucks.

Japanese Action Film MIDNIGHT EAGLE Hits America - Oct 06, 2007 - 09:52am
I'll believe we will be able to see this in theaters the day it is released and I can actually walk into my theater and watch it. I have been told so many foreign movies will be released only to wait and wait and forget about the damn things only to find out it was released in like 5 theaters in California.

The RPG EVERQUEST Hitting Theaters? - Oct 06, 2007 - 09:50am
I am surprised that it took so long for them to do this. Considering sony owns their own movie studio and all that. There is plenty of back story on wars and everything that they could put together a good film franchise if they don't rush it (But of course, they will rush it)

Reynolds Penning NIGHTMARE ACADEMY - Oct 01, 2007 - 06:36am
Jesus Christ, can we move on from the children's fantasy BS and move onto some more deserving fantasy series that have been out longer...

Megan Fox Confirms Desire for HACK/SLASH - Sep 27, 2007 - 10:05am
***Never read it, but sounds like a good time, though what are the chances of her actually meeting up with 'famous slashers' in the movie? I would guess there would be a lot of different companies own the rights to those characters...Elm Street, Crystal Lake, Haddonfield = $$$ to be put out.*** Check it out, all the originals and one shots (except Evil Ernie) are collected together in two TPs now. That would be awesome though as a first movie I doubt any of the owners of the major horror slashers would allow use of their characters in the movie, unless it was for an obscene amount of money. But if the first is well received as well as successful maybe so. If they somehow managed to get a famous character involved in a Hack/Slash movie I want Chucky. They did a Hack/Slash vs. Chucky one shot comic and it was great. Fit perfectly with the comic. Not only that but that story arch is actually an official part of the story. As is the Hack/Slash vs. Evil Ernie and I believe the upcoming Hack/Slash Bump is also. Thats one thing I love about the crossovers. They are not just cheap fan service crossovers that most companies do, they actually work into the actual story.

HALO 3 Hits $170 Million Mark on First Day - Sep 27, 2007 - 06:07am
In the word of Ron Simmons... "Damn!"
