Yeah Caveman, I see that, and I have no doubt Tyrion knew that also, but also everyone else could see that he was undermining the King, and that when the Battle for Blackwater Bay had descended upon Kings landing he was completely out of his depth, and only good luck, and quick wit saved it from Barantheon and his army. Tyrion will exact his revenge in the best possible way, I never read the books, but I can't wait to see this unfold.
Like I said I love Tyrion, and he is a survivor by any means possible, we have seen this on a number of occasions, and he uses his status for his own gain, there is never anything Tyrion does unless Tyrion has something to gain from it.
After 10 months it was so good to have it back, and I enjoyed it so much.
I'm with Wiseguy. Tyrion needed to hear what what his father had told him, not so much to be put in his place, but more so to see that while a Lannister he most certainly is not one of them, and though he can use his words to get himself what he needs, being a halfling does hinder any ability to be a warrior, which is exactly the trait needed to be viewed as a real man.
Tyrion is certainly my fav character, but the events of episode one, are gonna make what's coming, and his end game that much sweeter when it happens.
I often think about The Road & The Book of Eli as being the better examples of End of World stories, not very whimsical, but have a very stark view about what the earth will be like and also how the breakdown of society is a consequence of it. Both films have stayed with me long after watching them.
Love it, Love Michael. RIP.

And look where that has got him... Just saying...
