The Manic Maniac: Superman vs. Everybody - Aug 22, 2008 - 11:28pm
I'm an old fart and I enjoyed Superman Returns. But on reflection, I enjoyed it because the movie was a rehash of Donner's Superman, which as a kid I loved. Singer definitely tried to capture the feel of the movie but in doing so, really recreated the original. Singers Superman was almost like Bizarro Superman, he was in touch with his girly feely side which distracted me from the movie. Clark Kent had more balls than his alter ego. I think a reboot may work but bring back the caliber of Zod and his Cronies. Have a good Shakespearean actor play the nemeses and develop a story with heart but still have a good showdown and put a "sting in the tail" twist. We all loved Christopher Reeves but it's time for us to move on and have a new actor with a new take on the Superman role. All respect to Brandon Routh, but he was hired to capture Reeves character.., and he did a fantastic job, but do we want the Superman character to be fresh or a trip down memory lane.

DARK KNIGHT Fastest to $400 Million - Aug 06, 2008 - 01:49am
I can understand why so many people love this movie. The marketing was incredible, the unfortunate death of Heath Ledger sold it and guaranteed ticket sales. Heath Ledgers performance as The Joker was amazing. The fact that the media portrayed this role as being the death of him, also sold tickets. This will also be the last role he will be seen in. I love Batman but you gotta give credit were credit's due, the movie has made so much because Heath Ledger died.

Lucas Updates on INDIANA JONES 5 - Jul 28, 2008 - 11:47pm
George Lucas is an arse clown. And now to add to his rectal circus act he's gonna do a fifth Indiana Jones. Why doesn't he spend some of his ill gained wealth and get that jabba chin of his lipo'd.
