Top5 Video Game Movies YOU Want To See

(Sun 10/12/2008 09:51pm)

A few weeks back my friend Kaeos and I talked about which  video games we would like to see be made into movies on Chaotic Radio and now with the recent release of Max Payne and the soon Bioshock and Prince of Persia movies, it seems likely we will start seeing a few games we like, turned into movies.

So, to start off I will introduce my Top5!

Half-Life - The third FPS I have on my list but also the best! This game is my favorite FPS of all time, hands down! This game HAS a very well thought out story with a main character who never talks...crazy. I can see them going in many directions with this movie. It does not have to be action driven at all because like I said, there is a story. You can go deep into the theme with the corporation, like the man with the briefcase or go action! There is plenty to be told with Freeman escaping from the science lab all the way to fighting with the resistence! I am honeslty surprised that this game has not been autioned off for movie rights!

Duke Nukem -I ask you, why not? Duke Nukem is one of the most quotable characters from a game that I can think of.  Yes, he stole most of his quotes from movies but it still does not hurt. I can say that this was one of the first games I had played which involved me taking a piss, drinking from a toilet and tipping the local strippers. The game almost had a gridhouse feel to it. I can see this movie being made into one hell of an action packed hellride!

Mass Effect - I thought it would be best to throw in something a little more recent. Like Half-Life, this game could go many directions. The universe the writers created for this game are expansive and could bring in Star Wars like stories and memorable characters. I thought this was one of the best sci-fi games ever and hopefully brought out some new ideas in other writers to start trusting making more of a story driven sci-fi game then action.

Twisted Metal - Now some of you might think that this would be like Death Race but if you have played the game and watched the movie, you would know that there is a significant difference. For me the gameplay was nothing really new but it was the bio's on the drivers and their stories which drove this franchise. I would love to see Thumper and Spectre go up against eachother in a live action film. Make it more story driven with awesome action sequences and you have a movie that will generate some good gross and a most likely turn into a cult classic!

Wolfenstein - This game was my first expeirence with the FPS. To think of it, not really a story at all, not until Return to Castle Wolfenstien but I am sure they could not do worse with making this movie then Doom. Throw some occult nazis, ghosts and some crazy guns and I am there....Oh yea, it would help to have a story as well!

New Year=New Games

(Tue 02/05/2008 04:41pm)

So, another year is upon us which means many a talk about which console will be having the better games, and overral gameplay.

Now, frankly, I have a 360 and will not be buying anything else anytime soon. So, I guess you could say my choices 'could' be limited, but I do not think so.

Just among some of the games coming out this year you have:

Highlander

Mafia II

Final Fantasy XIII

Fracture

Army of Two

Frontlines

Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Tomb Raider: Underworld

Ghostbusters

Madden '09,

Left For Dead

Star Wars : The Force Unleashed

GTA IV

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Fallout 2

Condemned 2

Farcry 2

Resistence 2

Triberium

Starcraft?

Lego Indinana Jones as well as Batman

Battlefield: Bad Company

Hell, I could keep on going but I think we all get the idea. So, with a new year among us and just a limited amount of titles that have been released, what are you looking forward to the most?

Here yee, here yee...
