SDCC: Redband Trailer for QUARANTINE - Jul 28, 2008 - 03:16pm
I find it a little silly when a movie trailer gives away every single plot point of a film... This one does that. Watched the trailer? You just saved yourself $11.95!

New Trailer for QUARANTINE Online - Jul 09, 2008 - 10:45am
The movie which Quarantine is based on, called [rec], was pretty damn good. Of course I have a soft spot for Spanish horror films. This looks not half as good. If anyone has seen the original, it's obvious from the trailer that things have been changed a bit in this remake. Which is sad, because the first one worked so well. Why the hell can't studios just push the original film instead of making a crappy American version? Everyone, check out the original if you can get your hands on it! I really enjoyed it. Not the scariest thing ever, but very entertaining.

FUNNY GAMES - Jun 19, 2008 - 09:57am
Every little tinny thing in this film is done with the utmost purpose, so I disagree that certain scenes take too long to play out. I also strongly disagree that Haneke uses cheap parlor tricks; the rewind scene is pure brilliance! He gives the audience exactly what they want to see and have come to expect in movies, and then takes it away from us. This movie is not only about our obsessions with on-screen violence, its about how we've all been trained to expect, and want, certain things to happen while a story plays out. When I saw this film in theaters I walked out thinking "that's was pretty good... It says a lot". The more I thought about in that week, the more I realized how fantastic this film is. It's not for everyone, but even if someone doesn't enjoy sitting through it, (of course you're not supposed to enjoy sitting through it), I can't imagine how one could deny it's brilliance.

TV Review: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: Revelations - Jun 17, 2008 - 01:08pm
You know, I'm glad this is the last season. I enjoy this show, but not nearly as much as I did for the first season and a half. It just seems like, at some point in season 2, the writers really lost the plot and have since just been making it up as they go alone. There has still been really great writing on this show, especially how they worked in the whole dichotomy of the war on terror. I feel that the viper pointing the way to earth thing was a real cop-out as a plot device, unless they develop the hell out of it (which they should if Kara's transmission was a colonial signal from “Earth”, like Hobbs said). Oh, and like lancedenier said, I saw a nuked planet Earth coming a mile away, since season 1. Regardless, I'm looking forward to see how this wraps up.

Next Rd of Mania Trivia is Live - May 18, 2008 - 09:50pm
I also copied a title from IMDB and got it wrong. Second time that's happened. It's not even an issue of adding a space at the end... And also a lot of those screen shots had been used before! I still enjoy the game though. Lots of fun.

Drunken Vader Attacks Church Members - May 15, 2008 - 10:59am

Next Round of MANIA Trivia Online - Apr 23, 2008 - 10:34am
Yeah, I HIGHLY doubt those perfect scores... I mean I realize we're all living in our respective mom's basements, but common, 50 points EVERY round??

X-FILES 2 Hits Theaters Next Summer - Nov 01, 2007 - 12:52pm
I'm looking forward to this... I just wish it would take place right after then end of season 7. Let’s forget about the craptacular final 2 seasons, and get a proper end to what was a brilliant show.

Orlando Bloom in "Superman Returns" Sequel? - Apr 11, 2007 - 01:43pm
If Kate Bosworth Is still playing Lois Lane, I doubt that Bloom will be in the movie. This sounds like pure internet rumour to me...

"Heroes: Unexpected" - Feb 23, 2007 - 12:31am
A+ episode! I have to say this show can do no wrong right now (except for the whole Claire's real dad thing, that was a tad silly). Here's hopping the writers can keep it up. I think the real test will be season 2. A ton of shows I can think of have great first seasons and then it seems like the writers start to run out of good ideas.

"Bond 22" Update - Jan 31, 2007 - 01:01am
Guess this means a "Live and Let Die" remake wont be the next movie. It's a shame, they should stick to the book adaptations, seems to have worked the last time
