Game of Thrones: The Lion and The Rose Review (Article) - 4/14/2014 8:22:59 AM

It can be maddening at times, Violator...and not just here. Some of us read the Red Wedding nearly 14 years ago. Minus 1 person I know, my friends and family haven't read the books and they know I had read Storm of Swords a very long time ago...Keeping them in the surprise for the Red and Purple Weddings became rather difficult at times... But watching their reactions was also priceless...

The Walking Dead: A Review (Article) - 4/3/2014 4:18:54 PM

True, mtaffer. I totally agree that in a world 500 days after Z-Day, people are acting under a survival instinct that doesn't include morality for the most part. But it would be nice to see some fellow humanity every once in a while...And it does happen with our group of survivors. We get the "Red Shirts" every season just for them to turn into zombie fodder..Example: The 'nice' people who survived the Woodbury incident would go on to live in the Prison and fade in/out of Rick's group. So it does happen....

Just would be nice to see it happen more often. After reading some interviews from Scott Gimple these last 2 days, it would seem I may get what I'm hoping. Everytime his interviewer or fans talk to him as if Gareth's group are a bunch of cannibals, he keeps going back to the "Don't be so sure about that'...

We can certainly agree that Gareth may not be nicest guy in the group by how they handled our favorite characters but it may not translate to them being cannibals...Those "cattle herding" rooms may be for show.

Either way, they screwed with the wrong rabbits.

I believe it was Darryl's at one time but this season, Maggie has been wearing it more often...She was wearing it when she reunited with Glenn in the Tunnel scene.

April Fools: Walking Dead Cover #129 (Article) - 4/2/2014 3:35:44 PM

lol I love you owning up to this, Bob. I fell for a few back in my day the first year on the job. Back then I didn't realize so many websites try to out gag each other...And at least, you went for a believable one...One grounded in previous interviews...We all see you didn't fall for the idiotic ones out there.  I wonder how many picked up Joblo's piece about Michael Cera becoming the Riddler...I imagine, a lot picked it up!

Anyway, don't feel too bad. I fell for a few my first 2 years on the job at Mania..By year 3, I wouldn't report squat on April 1st unless it was a Trade Report (Variety, THR, etc) or a Press Release from the studio..

Keep on rolling, bro. You're doing great.

The Walking Dead: A Review (Article) - 4/2/2014 1:54:06 PM

Lazarus...I agree 100 percent with your above post. First with the Beth scenario and mostly, with the Why is Everyone Evil outside of our survivors. I understand were at the 530 day mark post Zombie Day...and to survive that long, one needs to be quick on their feet. But does it always equate to running into evil people who kill to survive?

I guess there's something to be said in the fact that we shouldn't want Rick and his group to find safety...It would be boring or something. But come about Rick and his group just meet wayward travelers every once in a while and part ways alive and intact. Do they always need to battle?

I haven't read the comics but I know there has to be safe zones out there. And Terminus could indeed be a great safe zone...As others have theorized, I'm almost hoping that the rib cages and voodoo like sets we saw in the finale is all a show and that Gareth is NOT the Kingpin of Cannibals we've all come to expect. That everything they did in the finale was because THEY'RE scared of people like Rick and putting them in a train car is a way to deal with them until they all get to know each other...

But that's just wishful thinking...More than likely, they're Evil-Cannibalistic-Bastards-Who-Don't-Deserve-to-Live and once again, Rick and his group need to fight their ways out to survive..

Joe, it's just a pleasure seeing you check in...Please do so more often. And here's where Lost Fans Pump Fist dammit...

The Walking Dead: A Review (Article) - 3/31/2014 5:55:44 PM

I will happily forgive the writers some of those slow drawn out episodes in this last half of the season if it means we have THAT Rick for the rest of the series. The Rick that chewed a guy's neck out like some Walker when witnessing the prospect of his son getting raped in front of him...The Rick who told Darryl that he's his brother...and the Rick who stepped in that box car confident that no box car could hold them in for long.

Hell yes...That Rick is the one I've been waiting for since season 2 when Shane bit the dust. Watching Rick continually get beaten down, most recently in hand to hand combat against the Governor, was enough for this fan. And farmer Rick may have been good enough for the prison but not for the road. Not for the damn road.

So hell yes to his closing line...

Just saw the video above...Nevermind. Geez, Carl...What part of "Stop" do you not understand.

The Walking Dead: A Clip (Article) - 3/30/2014 11:39:54 AM

To be don't know if Rick and Michonne doesn't tell Carl to run away in the season finale..In which case, Carl could be doing what they tell him to do for once...

Not saying they shouldn't try some punishment once in a while. Instead of the group spanking the hell out of Lizzie for her actions, we skipped straight to a bullet in the head. Geez..
