The Walking Dead: Claimed Review (Article) - 2/24/2014 5:20:53 PM

Stoned, I understand your mistake there. But here's the issue...Hanso has to place a grade. There needs to be a grade...And that's not his fault. As a former managing editor of this website, I made this clear in the comment section of Hanso's first recap. In order for it to show up under the Review section, there needs to be a grade. That's not Hanso's fault...that's something that the CMS requires.

Again...Hanso is providing these recaps so we (the fans) have a place to discuss TWD every weekend. He's doing it for free too. He's not doing it for professional accolades. That's basically why I asserted myself for him in this discussion. He's writing this weekly piece because he's a fan like us. Not for a check.

And now, back to the show itself..Not the last 5-7 comments siderailing it...

Alien, maybe Talking Dead is on Hulu or Xfinity's OnDemand? I know TWD is On Demand...I would imagine we could watch TTD sometime during the week if we miss the Sunday broadcast. Comic Book Men is definitely on OnDemand...and it was rather humorous this weekend. The Clerks staff went up against The Stash staff in a bowling match...

Yep, Alien...That was a question on Talking Dead too. If these bikers do return on the series, that one guy may remember Rick hiding under the bed. Due to the fact he was under a choke hold at the time he may not remember anything when he wakes up. But one never knows..

They could all meet each other at Terminus...These signs are everywhere apparently. It's to be expected that evil humans also see those signs, not just our TWD heroes...

Stonedtodeath: "You're going to criticize the writing in a T.V. show with bad writing of you're own?"

Hanso is just recapping a show so the readers have a place to write down their thoughts at our website. He's not looking for professional critic awards.. If you want to call people out on grammar, you shouldn't make mistakes on the post calling them out.

No problem bro. I totally get it because Jeff is one of those types. You recognize him but can't point him out and it drives you nuts trying to remember where you've seen him lately. He's like Tommy Flanagan (Another Sons of Anarchy alumn). the actor with the facial scar that always pops up on our shows too.

And you're right, Alien...It would have at least made the show more memorable to have Rick sneaking around taking them out one by one like some ninja...

I was talking about my frustration with it with a co-worker today...It would be one thing if this series had 22 or 24 episodes like other series on TV. But doesn't. It only has a certain amount of episodes. With that in mind, the writers should make each minute count... Not spend 30-45 minutes going back to a character hiding under a bed...

The Walking Dead: Claimed Review (Article) - 2/24/2014 2:30:28 PM

Yeah Hanso...the actor you're talking about is Jeff Kober. He's been in a lot of genre shows and movies...Most recently known for his role as Jacob Hale in Sons of Anarchy (definitely brings out the Biker Gang vibe).

I'm sure we'll see Jeff Kober popping up again. But even with that in mind, I'm in total agreement of what you say above.

Did we really have to go through an hour of Rick hiding under a bed? Couldn't they have spent that time focusing on some of the other Daryl, Beth, Tyrese, etc.. All those characters were not in this episode. Instead, we get Rick hiding in a bed and sneaking out of the house.

And I get the point...The point is that there are evil people out there. But we've already heard that point, writers. Instead of wasting half an episode on it, you could have showed other characters doing more exciting stuff.

Still enjoyed the show of course. Just wished they showed more screen time to other characters than Rick hiding..

I think I'm going to love Abraham...Michael was right in his Talking Dead commentary...His character brings a little more humor and that's good. There needs to be a little more humor.

Best lines were Mr. Mullet Eugene though...

Sgt. Abraham Ford: So you tell how in the holy hell did you possibly kill this truck?
Dr. Eugene Porter: A fully amped-up state and an ignorance of rapid-firing weapons.

"I'm smarter.." in response to walking back the other direction.

We need a little more humor in the series. Hope Abraham delivers. Great choice of actor too...Michael rocks.

Heroes Reborn: 2015 Teaser Trailer (Article) - 2/23/2014 8:26:39 AM

And this time....the writers will hopefully keep a tighter leash on the storylines. Like others, I'm optimistic about another go at the concept. The last attempt lost me around season 3 with the multple lives of Sylar..Start over with new actors/characters and don't Jump the Sylar again.

You are mean, sir. Truly mean. I can't believe I ever vouched for you....I...was....mistaken...

lol He already has a hot woman, Hanso. She's also a fellow geek like him...And he has lots of action figures. So basically...Mr. Trate is already living the good life. Send me the stripper though...I was here first.

I'm glad you both caught it as well, Redhairs and Looney. I was wondering if I was crazy with her saying "nephew" because they didn't bring the error up on The Talking Dead, nor did any of the post-show interviews say it...and just about every review I've read (including Sir Hanso's) didn't point it out either. I thought maybe I hallucinated the mishap in a late-night craze..

Thought the same deal about the radio channel event because Hanso keeps calling me out on it. Booyah, Hanso. Right there....Terminus. RIGHT THERE. :)

Haven't read the comics yet so I can't wait to see what Sgt Abraham and the other two bring to the table here...The funny bit is everyone I talk to automatically jump to them being more insane evil people. Which is par for the course with the show's past. Everytime a strong character beyond Rick or Daryl shows up, they're usually evil or insane. Tyrese may be the exception but he was soft when he came in last year..

Sgt Abraham looks to be a strong authoritive type...It would be nice to see one that actually meshes with Rick and opposed to one like the Governor.

Hanso...You made me laugh as usual but you forgot one thing. You forgot to mention how pleased Jarrod became when they finally brought up the Radio Channel Event that I've been pissed about since about episode 4....i.e...Terminus. They finally acknowledged the place said on the radio...that nobody seemed to talk about afterwards. Yes..Thank you, writers. Good job.

But...bad job on having Tara not remember she had a niece...not a nephew. That's a very large error unless maybe it's explained she was in shock. She was in shock after all. But to forget the gender of your sister's kid..That's a big error, writers.

So writers. Good job on bringing up Terminus (first brought up in the Radio Channel Event). Bad job on having a character forget whether she had a niece or a nephew.

And Lizzie went Full Psycho. You never go Full Psycho.
