Not a dumb question at all, Bennyhill, namely because In the Mouth of Madness had tons of Lovecraft references and even the name of the Carpenter film is a direct reference to Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness. Many themes within "In the Mouth of Madness" came from existing Lovecraft fictional devices as well. Obviously, they're not related anything other than the former being a reference to the latter..Since they were written decades apart and by different authors..But one was inspired by the other.
Or "Practice" if you're an NBA fan.. Mora...Iverson...Funniest (or most quotable) sport conferences in a long time. :)
Well, I don't mind him insulting the Spider-Man films and all that..Plus, SonyMan can be funny at times. He's an alright guy. But yes, I don't quite understand the whole Pig thing..other than the Simpsons reference from last summer.
Heh, at least we have two people who "admit" to seeing Meet the Spartans. I don't know whether to admire your courage in the admission or flog you to the back of the bus for contributing to the film getting #1 and having me type this up last night... I know this will happen though..so I'm not really blaming you. Just joking...Hell, I believe last year, I had to type up a report around this time about "Epic Movie" winning a particular weekend..
Alright, I'll bite on this SonyManSwallows...even if it's against my better judgement.. How exactly is Guillermo del Toro a "Kevin Smith" Clone?! And what's with you and "Spiderpig" anyway? You've been saying that for months now on any article you can and I still don't quite understand the fascination with that word..or insult...other than the obvious Simpsons Movie reference..
*Gets Smeg a beer* If there's one thing I'd say, it's the crazy uber (I'm bringing Buffy quotes back!)-casting for the film. How can they hope to keep all these actors under multi-film deals and meet all their schedules? I am assuming this isn't a one-film deal here so the casting has thrown me for a loop. And if it's any consolation, it does look like they're keeping some things in canon. From that teaser, it does look like the first Enterprise from the 60's show, complete with a gold dome on top...Even if the CGI does make the ship a bit sleeker then the obvious model on a string effect..
Same thoughts, Lotr. Del Toro has expressed interest lately in helming the seventh Potter film but if the trade is correct and he's taken on the Hobbits, then that possibility is gone..I wouldn't mind his friend Cuaron coming back either..I believe Del Toro referred him to WB when they asked him to direct PoA. Definitely curious on why Raimi's out of the running..Last we heard, he was also on the short list for the Hobbits and was all but locked up to helm them. What's happened between then and now? Perhaps Jackson and Del Toro saw something more in common. And I doubt Raimi goes back to Spider-Man as well, Wise, but you can bet yet another someone will ask for his stance on it.
Same thoughts, Ollivander. I'm disgusted that Meet the Spartans won the weekend. Typing that up above was a royal pain in the ass for me today..I was late with it because I had a function to attend earlier..but writing that up..It was a pain. NOT as much as a pain as last year when I had to talk about Grindhouse failing but still, it was disgusting to write. Meet the Spartans may actually be funny but I have little interest in it..It's yet another effing spoof movie that was probably not needed..
Heh, same exact thoughts Collector! Love 30 Rock and I really miss The Office, Earl and to add one more, Scrubs. NBC has a great Thursday lineup and for me, it really is "must see". :)

Hah, agree with you guys.. And btw, I bet you that this "suit" we see above is actually a joke upon itself. I mean, the suit is supposed to "look" like it was ripped off an X-Men movie. This movie looks hell of fun..and Will Smith July 4th weekend= Get out of the way everyone else. Speaking of which..July 2008... July 4 weekend=Hancock July 11 weekend=Hellboy II:The Golden Army July 18 weekend=The Dark Knight July 25 weekend=X-Files 2. This upcoming July looks as good, if not better than last July, which was loaded..
