I hope someday we get a "real" Sci-Fi channel! SyFy is a freakin joke!
January Jones has that classic Hollywood beauty look, which is one of the reasons why she got the gig on Mad Men. Plus she is 32? We need an actress that has that sexy Playboy Playmate look for Emma.
Crystal Skull, Aliens, Cold War Russians - Indy 4 had the right elements to be a great film, but they couldn't pull it off. Too much cheese! Tarzan thing, the Nuke thing etc.
I'm wary of anything that Lucas touches nowadays, but I thought Spielberg would of been able to pull the movie through - wrong!
Lucas has lost his edge. He is too soft! They need to lock him up in a room for a week, and show him nothing but Dirty Harry movies-lol
LaBeouf stinks! Terrible casting on their part. I agree with an earlier poster, LaBeouf is too wimpy to be Indy's son.
Didn't like seeing Indy's old flame from the first movie either. She didn't age well, and I thought her acting was subpar.
This is all very sad, because I love the previous Indy films and Lucas & Spielberg were my heroes growing up. Still love Spielberg, but think Lucas has lost his mind-lol
Lucas is going to have to pull a rabbit out of his hat for this film to be good. Especially if he wants Ford to return.
CGI, when done correctly is a wonderful tool. Unfortunately, we have been subjected to a ton of very poor CGI.
As for this new THING prequel? The idea of the film is okay. But, I doubt it will be pulled off successfully.
It seems like there is always something missing in today's films. Either the writing and acting sucks or the Special Effects blow.
The talent is out there, but rarely are the right team of people brought together.
I liked the trailer. Hope the film is good. "vulture people"-lol
SPAWN could still succeed as a rated "R" animated series. I thought the HBO series ended prematurely. Everybody I know loved it! I don't know why its taking him so long to get this new animated feature going? SPAWN needs to be adult, raw & brutal on all levels - Comics, Animated & Live Action. When it starts to slip, is when it becomes boring.
As a child, I collected Monster mags. I still have all my Famous Monster magazines from the 70's.
Sooner or later this movie will be made. I am sad about the delay, because I was really looking forward to it. I think Paramount dropped out because they know this film isn't going to make a lot of money at the box office. HEAVY METAL has always had a cult following. This new film needs to be "R" and an Anthology like the original.
Soldier of Ra reminds me of Iron Maiden's "Power Slave" album cover.

No Mars?! Why even bother? Stupid!
