Scribes Haas & Brandt Pen Fantasy ALL CREATURES - Jun 27, 2008 - 06:03am
I think it's more like Planet of the Apes, where the animals become intelligent and dominant. So, Planet of the Squirrels, Planet of the Birds, Planet of the Cows, that sort of thing.

I still miss Invasion, Shaun Cassidy's latest cancelled series. I'm sure the writing and characters will be more intriguing than the premise implies. I hope this one lasts.

JUMPER (2-Disc Special Edition) - Jun 15, 2008 - 08:10am
I think the reason so many things were unresolved was that it was meant to have sequels. This movie was just a fun teenage fantasy: stylish clothes, unlimited travel, unlimited cash, parents who deserve to be rebelled against, and easy-to-beat villains. I would have loved it at 15 or 16. I still enjoyed it as an adult.

Howdy LittleNell. That Lizzie Borden for your avatar or am I way off base?

Hey Joey! It is! I love those old murder mysteries. Did she or didn't she? Why do we want it to be her? There's some evidence that there might have been an axe murderer/serial killer at the time, but no one knew what a serial killer was then. The avatar I use in the Maniacs forum (I post in Lost) is of Lotta (Lottie) Churchill, another young women who allegedly killed her parent.... I'm a horror fan, and true horror scares me more than any make believe story could. ---Thanks so much saying 'howdy'!!

I thought I recognized that picture. It was bugging me all morning!

Yeah I’m currently Bostonian and love it! I was, however, born & raised an hour south in lovely Fall River, MA, hometown to Lizzie and those dastardly deeds. I actually lived around the corner from Maplecroft for about 3 years as a kid. We used to dare each other to go into her yard. That was the huge, gorgeous Victorian Lizzie bought with her Dead Papa’s money. My understanding is he was a bit of a cheapskate, which may have played into the motive. Haven’t kept up on any recent theories/books on the murders but I doubt she actually committed the acts herself, though I think both her and her sister knew who done the deeds and were probably accessories before & after the fact. Ain’t heard the Ax murderin’ serial killer angle before though. Were there other similar murders around that time and area?

Yeah Wheel of Time!

I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments LittleNell, I really hope Brandon Sanderson has the skill and fortitude to finish A Memory of Light with all the dignity the series conclusion deserves.

It's nice to see someone else here on the site who recognizes that Robert Jordan's WoT arc really is one of the best epic fantasy series of all time (there are too many haters out there!). I know Sanderson has officially begun writing AMoL recently, so hopefully it won't be too long before it hits the shelves. Now if only we can get a release date on that, as well as A Dance with Dragons, I'll be one happy camper!

Hey! A little late on this, but having read all of Christine Feehan's books, you should definately check out her other "...Games" books. She has two other very popular series, the "Dark..." books and a series about 7 magical sisters. All very tasty in my opinion. She has some other stand alone novels also, but everything she writes is superb. She's my only author in the romance section that I buy the books the day they are released. If you're interested in learning more about the series and reading some of the 1st chapters then u can visit her website at christinefeehan.com. Ok well, that all sounded rather like a commercial, but I do really love exposing others to this particular author. Well, sorry to bother but i couldn't help myself! Take care!
