It's a DLC expansion, not an extension. Dawnguard doesn't change Skyrim's ending either but it's still good.
Post launch DLC isn't anything new.

Yes... True. BUt, with Skyrim you can continue to play your world even after the main storyline is over. Mass Effect you die and it is over. Meaning, if the expansion pack does add anything new during your game you will have to continuously reload previous saved files from and old saves and go back through it all over again. And again with each new DLC expansion.
Pretty sure the DLC takes place before the end of ME3. Most likely and addon mission that takes place during the game,
I see absolutely no point in this DLC. The game has ended. Whether you love or down right out hate it, it is still the end. Why would they make DLC that takes place in the middle of the game? It will not alter the ending or further game play.
Just another means to cash in. RIP Bioware. EA has owns your asses.
