All-Star Batman and Robin # 5 - May 22, 2007 - 08:51pm
I don't know anything about this comic, so I won't comment on it...however, in related news, allow me to bring up the season finale of Heroes. Last night's Heroes kicked ass. The show is extremely well focused...and only gets better, with each new episode--and it started out great to begin with. If you missed last night's episode, just look up Heroes on yahoo's search engine. You'll see the official web site. Just simply log on...and you can play the episode...just like that.

Rodriguez Will Handle BARBARELLA - May 22, 2007 - 02:54am
In terms of depicting sexuality and sexual overtones...yes, Verhoeven is a proven master at it!!! However, where Rodriguez is concerned...forget about about it. That's like picking Rob Zombie to write a song about hardcore sex, over 'Lil Kim. It just doesn't compute. None of Rodriguez' movies reflect any real eroticism at all...no more than you can get on MTV in the middle of the day...any day. And in terms of clever and salacious comedy...Rodriguez doesn't have it in his handbook. Sin City wasn't funny...his Mexican Trilogy wasn't funny...and or, any of Rodriguez' other films. And if his contribution to Grindhouse was supposed to be funny...he missed the boat entirely. Maybe that's why so many people in the audiences for the movie, reportedly walked out on it!!! That movie was just gore filled sillyness...the same with From Dusk 'Til Dawn. Where as, if you look at Verhoeven's work...such as the original Robocop...man can that guy handle satire. It was truly a great subversive work. And, as I always like to say: Rodriguez is not a real director...rather, he's an overly glorified camera man, who managed to teach himself how to create digital special effects in between gigs. Now, that's very impressive...I won't deny that--but, it still doesn't make him a great director...or even a good one.

Smallville: Phantom - May 22, 2007 - 12:38am
"Disagree" (???)..."Maliciously presented view of Lana Lang's character." (???) Please!!! Your attempt at pretending to be offended is what is falsely framed. Lana Lang is what she is...and sleeping with the town psychopath in order to get back at your ex, is just plain cruel and irresponsible...especially in the light of the fact that Lex happens to be the ex best friend of Lana's former lover, Clark Kent. Things like that, don't just happen...no, they happen...when one party has an malicious agenda against another--or, as in this case, two parties...against one (Clark)!!! In that regard, Lana and Lex Luthor are two of a kind. Lana is with Lex for revenge against Clark for dumping her--that and...the twisted sexual adventure of it all. And Lex, well, this is his way of getting back at Clark, also--for being overly righteous...and spurning their friendship. What better way than to sleep with the love of his life, if you're Lex? As for Lana, what better way to pay Clark back, than to sleep with his friend, turned enemy. Talk about malicious!!! Hell, Clark accused both of them of that very same thing, recently on the show, when he was exposed to Red Krytonite!!! Those are the facts of who, and what, Lana and Lex are...and that is pretty warped if you ask me. And as I said, even Clark voiced his views on the subject which back my position. In fact, his mother later pointed out that there was probably some truth spoken, at least, from Clark's viewpoint, even though he was under the influence of Red Kryptonite when he spoke his hidden beliefs. And as far as Lana being a sexual deviant...I didn't say that--you said that. Far be it from me to disagree with you considering Lana's lively sexual past. I will remind you, that Lana has slept with half the damn town...including one of her teachers, who happened to be a crazed, on again/off again, boyfriend. Funny, Lana has picked many boyfriends in the past, who have turned out to be stalkers in the end, hasn't she? Henceforth, proving my point once again, that she loves the bad boys--Crazy, deranged...abusive. A nice guy like Clark, needs a nice girl like Chloe...don't you think??? You'll notice that I have done nothing but compliment Chloe...who happens to be a woman, by the way!!! So much for your claims that I am attacking women. Truth is, I'm exposing one woman (Lana) who has a "Me, Me, Me" attitude...and can't seem to keep her legs closed. And that is something, you just can't handle!!! You can apologize to me later...and I expect a full and heartfelt sincere apology from you Merin!!! This season's Red Kryptonite episode speaks for itself. Damn...I'm just too good at this!!! Bye for now.
