@ HOA the box office numbers for titanic were
12/19/1997 Titanic $600,788,188
04/04/2012 Titanic 3D $57,884,114
These numbers are not adjusted for inflation.
In the fist 100 days of release
Avatar made 739 mil in 100
Avengers 616 mil (in 95 days)
Titanic 511 mil in 100
I completly agree that FF are more important to the marvel Universe then DD and as Elbaz said they fit better with the Disney style, however the more characters under one roof to me is often a good thing.
The bad news is this continues to not let me see Spidey Vs Kingpin.
@ HOA & Darth. If they did not want me to melt my little green army men then A. they would have been made out of something that did not melt and B they would not have had soldiers with flame throwers.
Now the question is when do we get the first on blu so I can see all the extra bonus features.
So Curiousity has landed on Mars, that in itself is a funny, I mean a new total recall is out, and this is a thread about gay characters and here HOA is being curious.
Recall was beter then the reviews and my kid who watched the original after the new one enjoyed the new one alot more than me, however he still though the original was better even with dated special effects.
So I saw it and if there had never been a first movie I think I would have liked it maybe a B- or C summer popcorn flick, but it is either not as good as the first one or my expectations were so high that it just didn't meet them. Like I said a D is rather harsh but it almost seems that way if you compared it to the first.
Went to see total recall and it is a shame that a movie about life on mars was more believeable than the remake on earth, and just like in Bats why do plots become so #^((!#& stupid whenever there is a bomb with a count down timmer????
As for the box office total it is not all that surprising, and for those interested in the totals TDKR made 354 mil in 17 days, The Avengers made 457 in the same time. that should be close enough for your 20 day total HOA
I enjoyed the flick to, but they should have up played Sinestro, he was a beter villian the whole time, however it was an utter flop when considering the budget, I'll say this I do not own it.
As for GL being gay they are reffering to the first GL being rewritten as gay, not any of the popular earth GL's
Going to see Total Recall tonight hope it is beter then reviews say it is, will let you all know later.
I hav etickets to this and the RT score is in the trash, wondering if I should see another flick.....

@ CEO yeah but adjusted for inflation it is a little less impressive, however it still has some more time to make cash.
