New Viral DARK KNIGHT Poster - Jul 01, 2008 - 09:22pm
Call me nuts...I don't know if he has any acting skills...but I think Conan Obrien could pull off the Riddler's look. And not the old Ridller's look; I'm talking the look he has now with a suit, tie, bowler hat, and cane. I dunno. I was just watching Conan the other night and the Riddler just popped up in my mind. No reason.
Bonham Carter Joining TERMINATOR SALVATION - Jun 30, 2008 - 10:07am
Wise, you remember that? That's funny. Yeah, and you're probably right. Though, I'm usually more careful. I need to Calm Grasshopper Calm.
First SOLACE Trailer Online Now - Jun 30, 2008 - 05:43am
Wha? You have to see it. It's the Batman Begins of Bond. In the way it revamped the Bond series and that it made it more real world.
Speaking of the new Batman...here's the first review I've read on it. It makes me want to slit my wrist that I can't watch it now.

Legendary Confirms 300 Follow-Up - Jun 30, 2008 - 04:55am
Almost Unbiased, Nah, I didn't play how you were supposed to play. I didn't get a good rating. I just ripped through it blasting everyone. I'm on my second playthrough trying to do it right and it's alot harder and more fun. I was going to say funner. Heh heh. Sobering slowly.
And twenty four hours aint' that quick. But there was a whole crap load of cutscenes. Some an hour long. There's so much stuff to do and on my second playthrough I notice now that I missed alot.
Scribes Rogen and Goldberg Talk HORNET - Jun 30, 2008 - 04:17am
Seth Rogen is a funny dude. Just those two lines from the interview made me chuckle.
I'm very interested in what he has in store for this movie. I don' care about Green Hornet anyway, so if he does mess it up compared to the original I couldn't care less. I bet it'd be good to me. Dunno about him playing the hero though but we'll see. Especially if he gets Stephen Chow.
That kind of fits with my idea of Green Hornet anyway. Sorta of like what I call the Hong Kong Fooey dynamic. Where the hero always thinks he is the reason things went right when actually his sidekick, the cat in the HK Fooey respect, is the actual purveyor of do goodedness.
Legendary Confirms 300 Follow-Up - Jun 30, 2008 - 04:12am
By the way. Just beat Metal Gear Solid 4 the second night I got it three days ago. I played for twelve hours straight in two session apparently...and I was thinking the whole time that Zach Snyder should direct a Metal Gear movie, with maybe John Woo as acton coordinator. Or just Zach by himself. But diffenently Zach, as apparently, he's awesome and hasn't done original material yet. Not that I'm knocking him. He's the shizzo.
Legendary Confirms 300 Follow-Up - Jun 30, 2008 - 04:09am
I'm going with Hanso on this, screw a 300 prequel (though, it'd be cool) and make a God of War movie already. I remember the first time I heard Gerard Butler yell in that movie and I thought, "That mother... is Kratos" and my dream movie starring him started rolling in my head. Though, I don't know who should direct such a movie...no, I think Del Toro should...could be I'm drunk and got him on my mind for some reason though. I don't know why. Did I just read an article on him? Eh, dunno.
But, I can wait for a God of War movie becasue I don't want anyone to rush it. I heard word on one but very prelimanary and forgot what the article said but it defintely doesn't need to be rushed. Take your time Sony and company. The story's alread there. Hydras, demons, statues, and orcs, Oh my!
Matthew Fox Ready to Lead BILLY SMOKE - Jun 30, 2008 - 04:03am
Wow, now movies of comics and books, are coming out (or word of is) and the comics or books aren't even published yet. I need to get on the ball with my writing now. This movie sounds lame by the way...but I admit it could have potential. I'm not going to be one of those naysayers that talk crap about a movie or other medium before I see anything on it.
WHy am I up? Friggin alarm. Can't go back to sleep and I'm still kinda frunk.
Commenting on crap I don't evn are about. And backspacing like a mugh trying to correct errors.
Bonham Carter Joining TERMINATOR SALVATION - Jun 30, 2008 - 03:58am
I don't know. And normally I'm laid back and chill. I let junk roll of my back and ignore it. Jager and Guiness will change a man, though, I know. Heh heh. The last barfight I was in was outside the bar and I knocked dude out in one punch. I was more suprised than he. It was f'd up though because he tried to hit me first but he hit the girl, my neighbor, that was standing next to me instead with his wild punch and I jumped in and clocked him. Then my girl, not the neighbor, and I took turns bashing his eye in, I was counting I was so drunk (ten times). I was puncbing, she was kicking. Before that...no fights for fifteen years. That night was Washington Apples though (Royal Crown and apple juice).
Depp's in Terminator too. I didn't read this news. I've wanted a movie with him and Bale in it and well, Oh, my God. Depp's in a Terminator movie. Oh, you said "IF"; I just got excited for nothing. I just happened to look up and saw what you actuall said.
Del Toro Reveals Preference for FRANKENSTEIN - Jun 30, 2008 - 03:49am
Well, Wiseguy, there's going to be one, apparently. The movie to (Steven?) Niles graphic novel is becoming a reality and it's a different take on the story apparently. I have no clue about how but it seems interesting. I forgot what it's called...something about "Alive" though. I can't wait. I want to see a modern take on Frakenstein; Del Toro's or not. And on another article (Shocktillyoudrop?) that mentioned this news they showed a drawing of Del Toro's vision, it belonged to another artist, of how the Frakenstein monster should look in his movie if he made it.
The two latest versions of Frakenstein I saw Deniro's and Koontz's kind of sucked. Funny, cause I love both of them. And yes, people...I know they are two seperate works. I' just saying.
Bonham Carter Joining TERMINATOR SALVATION - Jun 30, 2008 - 03:37am
Okay, okay...this confirms it. I thought he was bullshitting me but I ran into Tim Burton outside a Miami nightclub the other night and I was twisted, as was he, and he said McG is only directing the first Terminator movie and that he was doing the second. No word on the third. I thought he was screwing with me.Psyche. That didn't happen. But I did, last night, almost get into two different barfights at two different bars. The first at a bar where the bartenders are my friends and they kicked ME out, because some A-hole called me unpatriotic because I said, "'Screw' (though not screw, if you know...) America" meaning the government more or less not America as a whole and he wanted to effing hit me with a pool stick. First of all I was in the service and he wants to pull that crap on me. And second, even though it wasn't for the war, I almost died because I was in the service. I was going to kill him.By then I don't remember what the second bar fight at the second bar was for; I don't even remember coming home. Suprised me I was there when the alarm I set yesterday, for some reason, woke me up six this morning. Ah, alcohol. Got to love it.Oh, I'm up for anything Terminator, though because of work I missed all of the Terminator TV series, and anything Christian Bale. So, I can't wait for this; I don't care who's directing. I wonder what and how pivotal this role could be. My curious meter just imploded.
Bale Reuniting with Crowe in NOTTINGHAM? - Jun 22, 2008 - 02:33am
To me Bale, if he can find the time to do it, can be in as many movies as he wants. He, along with Johnny Depp to me, can play anyone or anything. They are two of the best actors in cinema today. And yes, to you nitpickers, I know this has nothing to do with Depp, I'm just saying. And in case you were curious I just blew it with a girl I really like that rejected me at first, then asked me out later, and well...now I'm hear typing on Mania instead of...GD it.
Alcohol...both a godsend and a devil in a bottle. Oh, well, leaving Fort Laudy in two weeks anyway...later, hizzo.
I'm just playing...still dig her...just she won't dig me after tonight. God, why is alcohol a thin line between between being a mack and being an ass?
Top Maniacal Rumors: Leo America, Knight Time & Punisher Hex! - Jun 20, 2008 - 11:33am
Hey, FF, it starts September 2nd. I'm pissed that I just went through all the Seasons that are on DVD and realized that there was a sixth one and it's not on DVD yet. Damn it, I knew I was missing chunks. I only watched part of Season Six on TV. Anyway, how would one contact Marvel Studios and petition that broha for Captain America? Kenny Johnson for Captain America, yo. I said, yo.
Top Maniacal Rumors: Leo America, Knight Time & Punisher Hex! - Jun 20, 2008 - 09:20am
I have a new contender for the Cap crown, er, um, shield. Since he "quit", note the parantheses, The Shield I think the guy who played Lemansky could be a dead on looking Captain America and he can act pretty damn good. It's perfect. He's not that big of a name at all and he has the build and that huge square jaw you'd expect from someone wearing the costume. Tell me I lie. Look at him, check it out.
Oh, his name is Kenneth Johnson. And think how ironic it would be if he got the part. The show's called The Shield for crying out loud and he'd be the second cast member from that show to play a Marvel movie.
Wechsler Options Stephen King & Son's THROTTLE - Jun 17, 2008 - 01:23pm
It's not a ripoff of Duel. Duel was written by Matheson and the story was made into the movie by Spielberg. This book is a bunch of writers paying homage to Matheson and his works by doing sequels or interpretations of his work. This story is a sequel to the story that Matheson wrote; Duel. I think it's going to be sweet.
And I agree that Heart Shaped Box should be a movie, that was an original ass ghost story. I think Joe Hill is going to turn out to be a better writer that his father. His first book atleast is better than some of the stuff that King has put out lately. Though that's not saying it's bad.
Villain Clip Revealed for DARK KNIGHT - Jun 17, 2008 - 08:14am
I know a spoiler. I know who died and who the parade is for...thanks to a picture in the new Wizard magazine of Gary Oldman holding up a newspaper decorated by our favorite dememted clown. It's no big deal though and only leads to more questions. If anyone is curious hit me up. Or whatever. It's not that big of a spoiler in my opinion. It's not who everyone thought it was unless everyone changed their mind last I read opinions.
First Look at the New Jason VOORHEES - Jun 14, 2008 - 08:49am
I can see why they're doing the reimagining without using Jason's mom as the first villain...because nobody nowadays wants to see a Friday the Thirteenth for someone that's not Jason. The way I see it they could do both, and maybe they will, with this movie. Just do the whole Jason's mom's thing in flashback like in a campfire story kind of way. I'm reserving judgement until I see a full trailer let alone the movie.
Superbad Stars Take on the APOCALYPSE - Jun 11, 2008 - 03:12am
Sounds like it has a lot of potential to be real funny. I can imagine how a situation like the Apocalypse could lead to a lot of insane going ons. It'd be a change from all the catastrophic "oh-ah" apocalyptical movies. Since 2012 is supposedly to some people when it's going to happen they should let the two characters actually be the same two cops from Superbad; those dudes were hilarious. Oops, except for the other cop was Bill Hader. Anyway, they should do my idea. I forgot who Jay Baruchel is. Or maybe I never knew. Got to Google him I guess.
Columbia Bringing SMURFS To the Big Screen - Jun 10, 2008 - 11:37am
I heard in the original incarnation of the Smurfs (the comics) that they were born from a trolls farts. I'm not shitting you. Seriously.
Eastwood's CHANGELING Debuts Halloween - Jun 10, 2008 - 11:33am
It's not Sci-Fi at all, where'd people get that from? It's based on a true story. It really happened.
The thing is I know there was already a old movie called The Changeling a long time ago; I don't know if it's a remake of that or not...I never read the synopsis of that one though I do remember the cover or poster. Hmm?
Leterrier Interested in HULK Sequel - Jun 10, 2008 - 11:28am
If there's going to be a She-Hulk TV Series I vote Lucy Lawless, who I never thought was hot until I saw her not being Xena, Warrior Princess. I mean I used to think she was manly and built like a linebacker...um, no, she isn't. Just slap some Ferrigno green on her and she'll be set.
TV Review: FEAR ITSELF: The Sacrifice - Jun 09, 2008 - 08:30am
I don't know. I still liked it. Yeah, it had some plot holes but it was pretty decent to me. Let me take a stab at McKrakens questions-just my opinion's mind you. Just for bored fun.
1. Why the kid's mouth was sewn shut...staked in heart- Maybe the girl wasn't taking any chances, she doesn't know what happened to him. As for the sewing maybe she was just demented, maybe they all were. And the reason why they didn't do that to the father was because he was their father. Would you do the same to your father as everyone else in any situation like that?
2. Why was the other brother thrown in a pit and another hung up?- Different girls different ways to carry out the same task. More than one way to skin a cat type thing.
3. How did the vampire get killed so easy?- Well, they made a deal with it and had one for so long so they probably just didn't try hard enough. It's something they'd been doing for generations evidently. Tradition. Plus, it was just a few girls left. Not saying girls are weak by any means but you know it'll most likely roll like that in real life.
4. Was the sub-plot needed? No. Probably not. The thing with this episode for me is that it had too many red herrings. The only way I see the need for that subplot was a reason for them to have all those weapons. Which didn't work anyway. Which was probably used to show how invunerable the creature was.
But I dunno. I always try to fill in gaps with my movies that have them because that's the way I would have wrote them better if it'd been me. Though I would have changed plenty. I giv this episode a C minus.
New TV Spot Featuring Cameo in HULK - Jun 08, 2008 - 03:16am
If you ask me...though I know no one did...I think it's kind of cheap for them to do that in the previews. If Iron Man didn't make so much money I bet they wouldn't do that. Now it seems like they're trying to get Hulk to ride on Iron Man's coat-tail. Sorta like the younger sibling in high school automatically being cool just because their older brother was popular. You know what I mean?
First Images Appear for PAINTBALL - Jun 05, 2008 - 08:52pm
I love how people are already judging a movie there has been no trailer for yet, that I know of, and are (ie.) comparing it to a scene from Friday the 13th when I'm sure there are dozens of movies you can break down to it's "plot summary" and find that it's like another dozen movies out there. Oh, no...vampires back in the day...they're copying Nosferatu or Dracula. Man, it's going to suck. A city overrun by the zombies? Oh, no they're copying Dawn of the Dead. It's going to suck.Blah, blah, blah.
PS.An unstoppable killer is going around killing sex crazed teens it's copying Halloween, it's going to suck.
New Russian Trailer for X-FILES 2 - Jun 03, 2008 - 01:14pm
If this movie is what I think it's about, werewolves, not a spoiler cause I don't know...I just have an inkling for some reason. At least as a minor plot point, I'm all in.
Peter Billingsley Talks IRON MAN 2 - Jun 03, 2008 - 07:59am
I read somewhere the The First Avenger: Captain America movie will be set in WWII, so my idea is to have Iron Man and the Avengers find Captain America frozen in the beginning of the Avengers movie, like in the comics, while looking for Namor. And then have the main villain be Ultron. But, since Ultron was created by Hank Pym that might be too much story to have to deal with. Just a thought.
Burton Directing Depp in DARK SHADOWS - Jun 03, 2008 - 07:55am
Well, if anyone's fitting for a Dark Shadows movie I'd say it'd be Tim Burton. And I'd love to see Johnny Depp play a vampire. And I don't know what you mean by Burton hasn't had an original thought in 16 years. Yeah, his filming style is the same but his movies aren't. I don't know what you mean Necro.
Well, another director that I just thought of could pull this off better than Burton and that's the dude that directed Pan's Labryinth. I want to say his name but I keep on forgeting it. Deltoro or something. The Pan's Labryinth dude. But I guess he'll be busy for awhile.
SIMPSONS Cast Signed For 4 More Years - Jun 03, 2008 - 07:46am
Before the dawn of series DVDs I'd say it was too much but now that studios can make money both on advertisements while the show airs both during the initial runs, reruns, and syndication and now from DVD sales the actors should get more. They deserve it. It's like if you wrote a series of short chapter stories in a magazine and later they decided to compile the whole series into a novel and sell it that way. You should get money for the novel too.
Although, on the other hand, I heard Cameron Diaz got like $500, 000 dollars, or was it 5 million, or 50 million or more for forty five minutes of work doing the voice of Fiona on Shrek. Now, to me that's crazy. And no, it's not the same thing.
Bryce Howard Taking Over in TERMINATOR Trilogy - Jun 02, 2008 - 01:11pm
I think that Sarah Conner Chronicles are to the Terminator movies what the Ultimate Universe is to the regular Marvel Universe. That's what I've gotten from all the articles I've read on the Terminator franchise.
Yeah, just in the movies they have a lot of continuity to clean up. But seeing as they're already knee deep in movies and we were young when they came out it might be too late to go and change things. Just as long as the new movies are good they can keep their discrepencies.
Bryce Howard Taking Over in TERMINATOR Trilogy - Jun 02, 2008 - 12:44pm
She was a target but not the only one. I think the Terminator was going through a list of all the Resistance Fighters this time around.
Capcom Shows New Lady for RE 5 in New Trailer - Jun 02, 2008 - 12:34pm
Oh, yeah. And they have a follow-up to Ico coming out, which is kind of a follow up, though not directly to Shadow of the Collosus. Though, I've heard word that if you be SoC that it sort of ties the two together somehow, albeit slightly.
Capcom Shows New Lady for RE 5 in New Trailer - Jun 02, 2008 - 12:31pm
I don't have brand loyalty but I never really liked the original Xbox and my old roommate had a 360 and he had Gears of War, which I didn't see what the big deal over it was. I think I moved out before Mass Effect and Too Human came out but they don't really interest me. Also, I can't stand the Xbox controller. Hell, I was seriously thinking I wouldn't get a PS3 (probably not seriously, though) when they first announced that they'd have those boomerang controllers. The controllers for the Xbox, for me, silly as it sounds, is a big downfall for me. And to me Resistance 2, Killzone 2 (even though I didn't care for the first one), God of War 3 (which is going to be the best game ever), MGS4(quite possibly the second ever) are going to blow anything 360 has coming out at anytime. That's not counting the next Drake's Forutne (if the first one is already ahead of ever other game in graphics and such, think of what the next one will do), the next Jak game (which only get better, although they are too hard), etc. PS3 is going to start killing it. Like you said it'll take time. 360 had a headstart. PS3 is behind yes, but unlike 360 it can improve and improve through time through updates.
Capcom Shows New Lady for RE 5 in New Trailer - Jun 02, 2008 - 08:09am
Seeing that all of them came on the Playstation first, aside from Resident Evil 4 and the Dreamcast one, I'm going to say that it's going to the PS3 first or atleast at the same time as the Xbox 360. I don't know why Capcom would do it that way. And I'd say go for a PS3 because although I admit they have a slow start their about to explode. RE5, Bioshock (finally coming to PS3, too), Metal Gear Solid 4, man I forgot all the good exclusives coming out. I know it's a matter of opinion but I like the PS3 exclusives better than Xbox 360, none of which I named aside from MGS4 and the PS3 is a Bluray player. And by the way, the enemies sure reminded me of the bad guys from Resident Evil 4, with the things coming out of their heads and the man with the burlap sack on his head and a chainsaw. Hmm? I know they said it wasn't but it's awfully similiar.
Bryce Howard Taking Over in TERMINATOR Trilogy - Jun 02, 2008 - 07:58am
Cheese is hella good though, The7. What's your name refer to, just curious, is it supposed to be "They" or a reference to the book The List of Seven (doubt it, and if any book should get adopted to a movie this is one to do I say as an aside).
Yeah, Bryce and Joqian were the only redeeming factors in The Village. I liked her as Gwen Stacy too. Better than Clare, who I don't have a problem with.
And since, this is another Terminator board I'll ask the question again. How was John born in the first place if he sent his friend into the past who ended up being the one that impregnated his mom? Hmm. Nevertheless, aside form T3, the Terminators are some of my favorite Sci-Fi movies. Hell, instead of another Aliens versus Predator movie I think we should see a movie with Robocop and Terminators. Dumbish idea but it made an interesting comic, if not for it being kind written dumb. God, today I'm getting all off topic.
TV Wasteland: Fear Itself, Doomed to Fail - Jun 02, 2008 - 07:50am
Well, Wiseguy, although I don't agree with it after watching on DVD the one that they didn't show on Showtime, Imprint it was called I believe, I can see why. It was directed by Takashi(?) Mike (damn, I forgot his name; the Audition guy) and it was crazy. You have to see it if only for the shock factor. I thought it was good though.
Box Office: INDY Cuts into CITY Victory - Jun 01, 2008 - 06:43pm
Wow. This won't be the last time I mention this but Steven Speilberg and George Lucas really outdid theirselves this time. I should have known and seen it as a sign when I was watching the previews, while expecting to see Indiana Jones, and an Indiana Jones trailer came on. First I thought it was a mistake but it turned out I was in the Iron Man movie side. So, I got up once the Marvel scroll was going on and went to the correct theatre. Let me tell you: Indiana Jones 4 is the worst movie I've seen it's absolutely horrible; not because of the actors but the story, holy shit, it was horrible. Made me sick to watch it and queasy when I left. A guy next to me said that that was two hours of his life he'd never get back. I turned to him and nodded assuringly that I felt the same. Man, two of my top ten worst movies of all time are World of the Wars remake (Speilberg) and all of the new Star Wars (I count them as one). How come Speilber can make such good movies and then churn out some of the worst at the same time. Not even mediocre; I mean worst. George, well, I guess he's the same but he hasn't made a good one in a long, long time. I dunno. Hated it.
Two New KNIGHT Banners Appear Online - May 28, 2008 - 05:40pm
Be the first to leave a comment.
Man, can someone give me a coma machine so that I can just go to sleep until this movie comes out. I'd do it. Guess I'll have to catch Hulk on DVD, which I don't really want to do but I want to see this flick so bad.
Oh, yeah. I have a coma machine right here...Foster's; Australian for beer.
Cheers.
Rodriguez Leading McGowan in CHAINS? - May 28, 2008 - 09:59am
Though if anyone was to be in one of those prison chick exploitation flicks no one would be better than her or Dita von Trois (Marilyn Manson's ex) by the way they're built. And I can think of no one other than Rose, right now, that has a body as good for Barberella so I think all that might be happenstance.
Yeah, I'd like to see Machete and Sin City 2 and the supposed Blind Man trilogy starring Depp as the character from Once Upon a Time in Mexico but I can wait. His movies are usually good anyway and I'll catch whatever he throws unless it's his penis or another kid's movie.
Update: Who Could Be the New SPIDER-MAN? - May 28, 2008 - 09:54am
Wow, NotAFan. How is it that you can write and type if you can't read. That's amazing...I did something like that myself; me I learned to walk before I could crawl. It was pretty awesome.
Back to the point...I don't think any of you can call yourselves fans of the movies or comics since none of you have picked the obvious choice. I think DJ Qualls would be perfect for the role. He'd be dope. I'm lying.
I think Jake Gylennhall would be fine Ryan Gosling, choices that I've thought about before as well as Ponyboy76. No, no, I'm not recommending Ponyboy for the role I'm sure he'd be great but that sentence became misleading and you know what? I vote for Ponyboy to do the role. Screw it. And I never considered Gordon Levitt but that's an outstanding choice...that dude could still play geeky.
New Teaser Poster for WITCHBLADE - May 27, 2008 - 03:56pm
Oh, I know in the comics that it consists of more, barely, but if they were going to change anything for a movie that'd be the way to go. But I think Witchblade should come first and then they can pull an Iron Man and introduce The Darkness somewhere near the end. They're both related and I do believe Witchblade came first anyway. Hope it's going to be sweet. And they get someone that can act and kick ass too.
Although she would definitely not fit the role I'd like to see Scarlett Johansen in the costume at least. Maybe as a person that once held the Witchblade.
New Teaser Poster for WITCHBLADE - May 27, 2008 - 01:50pm
By the eyes I don't think it's Alba or Berry; all I know is that whoever it is I hope that that is all that consists of the costume. I'll be there with my lotion in hand...I mean the candy and soda I snuck in.
TERMINATOR Trilogy Begins Production - May 23, 2008 - 10:05am
Well, I've heard from a little bird that the since they've already had two male Terminators and a female Terminator (not counting Summer Glau), that the next one will be transgendered appearing much like the Tu Wong Fu characters of Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snips except they will be sporting huge anti-aircraft guns. It won't be for a disguise factor in so much as a what the fuck factor and as everbody just stands there with there jaw touching the tops of their feet the Terminators blow them away.
Or maybe not.
I know in the other Terminators they had the rubber skinned looking Terminators before they made the Arnold model so maybe they won't have the real flesh looking ones in the first one. What I wonder is are all three movies going to be set before Kyle gets sent back or is he getting sent back within the three. Also, this is what I never got about the Terminator movies and I just might make a blog about it to get people's opinion later. But if Connor sent Reese back in time to protect his mother but Kyle ended up being his father how did John exist in the first place since he wasn't born before Kyle showed up. There's no way. And if you are from the future and you die would you really die? Because you're past self is surely still floating around somewhere. I loved the first two Terminator movies but even as a kid I wondered how the first one made sense.
Marvel Bringing the RUNAWAYS to Theaters - May 22, 2008 - 11:49am
Isn't one of the character's dad, or it it later on, a major villain in the Marvel Universe? I wonder if they'll introduce a major villain and have this be part of the same universe as Iron Man, Hulk, and Avengers. If they make their own movie universe Marvel would be the shit...sort of like the 616 is the comics mainstream universe.
DreamWorks Remaking Japanese YOMIGAERI - May 21, 2008 - 08:55am
T-minus and counting till someone mentions "Flight of the Navigator"...1155 am South Florida time.
Mania Manifesto: Top 4 Reasons Tomorrow's Food Is Going to Suck - May 20, 2008 - 10:43am
My opinion on Global Warming is, yeah, maybe it's happening but it has little to do with us. I think it's something that's happening naturally. I mean, what the hell do they blame the Ice Age on? What I'm saying is that just as the the Earth went into an Ice Age whose to say that we aren't just going through a Fire Age soon? Mark my words. Maybe this has something to do with 2012. Maybe all those people back then know that we're heading closer and closer to the sun and soon no living thing for now will be able to take it.
EA Still Wants Takeover of GTA's Take-Two - May 20, 2008 - 09:14am
I don't think that they bought 2K because 2K belongs to Take-Two. And I don't think Take-Two is selling. I have twenty or something shares in Take-Two and the price Friday and right now is higher than what EA is offering. The letter I got in the mail from Take-Two encouraged us not to sell and said give them a chance to prove to you that it's a bad idea; in so many words. I have hope for it.Yeah, there's no way that Take-Two sold 2K to EA. That's another big seller for them and they have a movie coming out.
Edit: Yeah, no way. Take-Two still owns Bioshock.
Cusack & Ejiofor Join Emmerich's 2012 - May 20, 2008 - 09:09am
Actually, it's not only the Mayans. Many civilizations (or people) have came to the same conclusion. In fact, on newly deciphered documents of Nostradamus's he came to the same conclusion and there's no way that he knew about the Mayans. I forgot all the other people that name the same year as being the end but you have to admit that it's kind of spooky (if that can be the word for it). I guess if it happens there won't be no Avengers movie.
In fact, if you can catch watch the new Nostradamus show that came on History Channel, it's scary. And I know a lot of people don't believe his predictions came true I for one kind of do. The thing that I know that makes people not believe is that people change what he actually said to either dumb it down or make it more exaggerated. Like the 9/11 thing. They took what he actually said and butchered it so they were saying he actually said one thing when he said another. And he never said that he was actually right. I remember watching one show a long time ago with some guy hosting...I forgot who it was, famous cat but he gave coordinates that closely matched to where the Twin Towers were saying something about screaming eagles doing something. And if I was back in Nostradamus time I'd say that screaming eagle is a pretty accurated depictionof an airplane if you didn't know what one was. Check it out but you have to seperate the bullshit people from what he really said.
Box Office Report: CASPIAN Scores Victory for Disney - May 18, 2008 - 07:59pm
Man, I know that Indy's going to make the numbers and all and that I'm going to see it regardless but I haven't read too many positive reactions so far. I hope to God it's good but I wouldn't be suprised if it turns out either way. Hell, I'd rather it be mediocre than suck. Please don't suck.
Clooney Ready to Stare Down GOATS - May 16, 2008 - 08:03am
Sweet! Brad Pitt and George work well together and apart. Although, Ocean's 12 and on sucked. And the Coen Brothers rule as directors; can't go wrong with BAR.
The movie the story is about sounds equally intriuging(?...doesn't look spelt right). I wonder if it's going to be futuristic, set in space, or what? First Earth Battalion implies that there's going to be another Earth, no? We'll see.
New Facts On RE5 Come Out - May 16, 2008 - 07:58am
Yeah, people just want an excuse to bitch or throw out lawsuits here in America. When I lived in Italy I was talking to my Italian girlfriend about someone getting sued and she didn't know what the word meant. When I explained it to her she said that they did no such thing there in Italy and that it sounds like a stupid thing to do. And she meant for anything. I agree.
I think it's because, at least for injuries, that the government takes care of everyone's health care and such if one gets hurt. I also know when you're older they also take care of when it gets to where you can't work so maybe the same if you're injured beyond capacity. I do know they have awesome hospitals they one I was at brought me back to life and saved my left foot. Wow, if that's not off topic I don't know what is.
I love the way RE 4 turned out and RE5 looks promising as frick. It actually made me fart as I crapped rather than the other way around when I first heard about it. Hey, I like reading on the toilet. I think they should of kept as just Africans if that was the way it originally was why bow down to all these mofos? God, I hate the world right now.
Top Maniacal Rumors: Pitt Wielding a Mighty Hammer? - May 16, 2008 - 07:47am
I don't know a lot about Captain America but I know in the original universe that he was found years before he was thawed out; so maybe in the movie that's also the case. Also, that he didn't have the round shield at first, which was a combination of vibranium and admantium that allowed it to withstand physical and energy forces. So, to me it makes sense that something like this was made by someone with weapons knowledge and why not Tony Stark? Maybe in the movie universe he was making a homage to him, who's to say that the shield on the table is the one he actually ends up with? Another thing is that the round shield could never be duplicated so if he lost it he was screwed. But I don't know. Maybe it's WWII memoribilia that Tony happens to have and later when they find Cap he gives it back to him if he had it before and lost it in his fall.I have a theory that like in the Ultimate Universe though that Captain America is going to be the first superhero and that is what Nick Fury is talking about other heroes though he probably knows about the Hulk-I'm garnering that Ant-man, Thor, and the rest might not be around or know about yet. Too bad they don't own the rights to licensning rights to Spider-man and etc. because I'm sure they won't be involved in this universe. Also, that Captain America's super soldier formula will be a catalyst for most of the other heroes, ala what we know of or think we know of in the new Hulk.My idea for Thor would be that Brad Pitt is Thor, himself and that they can make him look bigger ala making the giant guy in Harry Potter look bigger and have a scrawny guy play Donald Blake. I'm thinking Donal Blake could be someone like Mark Paul Gosselar or that kid from High School Musical Zach Efron; he's so cute! I'm kidding on both accounts. Maybe someone like Noah Wylie; like him not necessarily him. I'm not familiar with his acting but he looks on ER previews like a pretty convincing doctor. I dunno.
Quaid, Foster Face PANDORUM - May 09, 2008 - 07:21pm
To me it sounds like a mash up of Space Balls and Carpool if you ask me.
Hee hee, I made a funny.
Yeah, Quaid is the shiz. My favorite movie of his that really got me into him was the one with the radio that could communicate through time; the one with Jesus in it. Forgot the name, think it started with a "P".
For some reason I see Quaid as a poorman's Harrison Ford like what's his face is a poor man's Johnny Depp; damn, forgot his name-who would you all think is a poor man's Johnny Depp, see if you can jog my memory.
Routh Returns to World of Comicbooks - May 08, 2008 - 08:07pm
There's already an old movie, that's good as hell, called Cemetery Man based on the Dylan Dog character and comics. Though I'm pretty sure they changed all the characters in it. You should check it out. It's an Italian flick as well, if I remember right. I know it has lots of breasts and laughs.
Minor edit: Actually, the character from Cemetery Man is from the maker of the Dylan Dog comics novel. But they do meet each other in one of the Dylan Dog comics.
Interesting note is that the Dylan Dog character was based on Rupert Everrett who played "Cemetery Man".
Guess my friend told me the sort of the wrong info. Went and made sure I was right and guess I wasn't.
New DARK KNIGHT Trailer Online - May 05, 2008 - 06:07am
It's is competition Gaydor, it is. What?!
I'm kidding about the name and everything; trying to be one of those guys who like to argue on the net and swamp the boards. Yeah, it's definitely not a competition because we aren't the ones profiting whether either of them wins more money, accolades or whatnot. But I will be having both of them in my collection. I think I'll wait for the Batman Bluray box set to get The Dark Knight cause you know they're going to give it out with Begins in some form or other in the future like they did with AVP and AVP 2. WOrd.!
And...
Man, my name is too long to have to type all the time to log in. Where's the remember me button?
IRON MAN - May 02, 2008 - 03:09pm
My theatre only showed the Indy previews. That blows. I'm thinking it was time constraints since I went to the last showing. It's still bullshit. Frick. I mean, fuck.
Mania's Top Maniacal Rumors: Let's Talk War Machines and Wonder Woman - May 02, 2008 - 09:55am
I forgot where but I read somewhere that maybe the Demon in the Bottle storyline will influence the movie, that Rhodey will take over as War Machine but will be driven crazy by the suit and then Iron Man gets better to reign his friend in. I think they say thats the way it happens in the comics though I don't know. I didn't read any Iron Man 'cept for in the Marvel Two in Ones and Marvel Team Ups.
IRON MAN - May 02, 2008 - 09:37am
Yes, the movie was awesome as hell. Just a notch and a half lower than Batman Begins for me; me I couldn't care less about your arguments on that one. But it was great. I only questioned one thing that happened in the cave but it mustn't have been a big thing because I can't recall what it was now. Does anyone think besides the Ten Rings reference that the ring the leader of the gang was wearing was actually one of the Mandarin's Ten Rings? Hmm? They seemed to make sure that the ring in some scenes was prominent but not to prominent, like a wink to those in the know; besides the Ten Rings reference itself.
McKellen Confirms His Return of GANDALF - May 01, 2008 - 03:03am
Haha. That's good news. Buy free Viagra at this new site then go to this site to me hot local girls...Erm.
Oh, I know this is off topic but I thought that everyone who's going to see Iron Man will read this rather than any old Iron Man news. But word is that Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury is still in the movie but not till the end credits. Unfortunately I couldn't resist reading the spoiler but let me tell you just reading the scene made me crap my Iron Man underoos. I had to go and dig them out of the closet first and put them on but I still crapped them.
So, stay after the credits. Don't forget to ask the hot girl behind you with the huge boyfriend to give you a back massage.
Hah, who am I kidding there aren't going to be any girls going to see it. Well, I know one hot one that's up for it...just not with me. Not that I asked her, don't like her anyway.
Update: New KNIGHT Poster, Trailer Online Monday - Apr 25, 2008 - 12:26pm
How do you change your profile picture? I'm going freaking nuts trying to just find instructions or a way. I already uploaded an image. Why can't I...aargh!
Look at me. I just turned into a pirate.
Update: New KNIGHT Poster, Trailer Online Monday - Apr 25, 2008 - 11:29am
I know right, WM. But there are times when a bad idea is just a bad idea. I never complained about Craig being Bond, I didn't know enough about him to say anything bad but Layer Cake made think he might be able to pull it off. I was wary of Heath doing Joker but not opposed because I trusted Nolan, who hasn't made a bad film yet...although I didn't care for the Robin Williams/Pacino one (it was alright). Thing was I never would have thought he'd be as good as he seems in the trailers.
Right now some people, not here so much, are freaking out about Norton being Banner. I have faith in this one. Wanna bet to see what if he pulls it off, you all? Or ya'll for you Southerners.
I'm a Southerner to...I just don't talk like that.
Peace.
This has been an unnecessary message from this guy.
Ray Park Talks Joe & Iron Fist - Apr 08, 2008 - 08:32pm
All I know is that if they make an Iron Fist movie and make a game they should make it along the lines of Ninja Gaiden nex-gen games. That'd be kick ass.
Maguire Is a Hungry RABBIT - Apr 06, 2008 - 04:01am
I heard a director was attached to this the other day on the radio. I think he said his name was...You'll Bowl or something. Never heard of him.
I might be lying too.
BIOSHOCK MMO & Movie on Horizon? - Mar 27, 2008 - 05:26am
I hope they do good. I just bought three hundred dollars worth of stock from these guys. I might buy more...I have like three forty seven left to play with from the 401k I have from the job I quit. Maybe with this new I'll buy more...Why not...I already lost two thou messing around once...that use to be only 1 thou...no it's twenty two dollars...whee. Economics rock. Pffft!
Jackman & Guggenheim Create NOWHERE MAN - Mar 25, 2008 - 01:33pm
Man, I thought Nowhere Man was going to be the show I've been thinking of for awhile...talking about someone mentioning the orginal...but it's not. I already looked it up as a possibility. Anyway, I remember a show from a long time ago about a guy who died and came back with superpowers or something and worked for a shadowy government organization. Also, he's not allowed to meet anyone from his past life-I think he looks different too. I remember the credits having something to do with the Da Vinci painting with the eight armed guy and maybe a fly. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I never watched back then and then once when I was stuck in a hospital it came on SciFi, as a old syndicated rerun, but I could never catch another episode or the name.
HITMAN - Mar 23, 2008 - 12:23am
This movie blew donkey dong and was incomprehensible.
CW Delivering the WRECKING Ball - Mar 18, 2008 - 11:08am
What's wrong with The Shield, Merin? That's an awesome and original cop show. On another note I loved Boomtown, which ironically was a combination of all of the above sans the reality show. But yeah, this dreck sounds gay and isn't Eli Stone a fantasy show...I saw previews with a dragon on them, what the hell is that all about?
FUNNY GAMES - Mar 14, 2008 - 12:13am
I've seen the original for which this is a shot for shot remake. And it's good as hell. Like the article said most of the violence is off screen, though it still felt brutal. It was kind of realistic in a way because who hasn't heard of crap people do in real life. I mean I'm sure things worse than this has happened. Hell, I'll use the plot of The Girl Next Door and An American Crime both based off the same true events, if someone made that and told you it was fiction you would probably say, "Like that would ever happen".
Also, the film is a commentary on the films from the genre itself is a part of and the fans of said genre...it does the save by the bell thing and actually talks to you. It's funny and good and sometimes you find a dark, scary point that feels a bit like the truth inside of you. Man, I don't think I'm being clear about what I'm trying to say...I'm kind of smokin' and my brains a cloud.
THE LOST - Mar 14, 2008 - 12:05am
I don't know about the moive but the book was crazy as hell. I've read a couple of his stories; they are brutal.
KILLER TOMATOES Set to Attack Again - Mar 11, 2008 - 01:12am
You know who I'd like to remake this film and who could probably do a good ass job? Simon Pegg of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz fame. I bet he could pull it off. Hell, even Stephen Chow, as crazy as it sounds. I mean Kung Fu Hustle was a zany movie and Killer Tomatoes was definitely a zany movie; weird for weird's sake.
Wild West Horror for Marshall's SACRILEGE - Mar 11, 2008 - 01:08am
Same here. We need more good Westerns and I love horror flicks. These haven't been mixed too often in the past (I think) so I'll definitely give it a go.
Shooting Continues on Gilliam's DOCTOR - Mar 10, 2008 - 10:15pm
It's unfortunate that things had to turn out like this for this movie but it'll be interesting seeing these characters basically act like Heath's many facets in this film.
ANIMALS Set to Wipe Out Mankind - Mar 06, 2008 - 10:30pm
That's why I only keep lemmings as pets. They're fun for a while and then go all suicidal on you later on...then LUNCH!
WB Picks Up Na Hong-jin's CHASER - Mar 06, 2008 - 10:28pm
I forgot what the original was called but I know i've seen it, how many South Korean movies are about a real life serial killer out there, but I do know it was chilling and off the hook. It was an awesome movie. I might have to check my Netflix history to find out again. It's kind of weird that they'd remake a true story set in a different country, I wonder if they're going to go The Departed route or actually set it South Korea.
Never mind, the movie I was talking about was called Memories of Murder; about S.Korea's first recorded case of a serial killer. It's awesome check it out.
Snyder Reveals WATCHMEN Characters - Mar 06, 2008 - 10:08am
Snyder's a great director but I'm wondering, though as long as he keeps it up the ways he's doing I don't mind, if he's going to do any original projects. But if he wants to adapt other people's projects all the time I say bring it on...I say he does the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. If he did with Dawn of the Dead what he did, think about what he can do with Freddy. Hmm?
First Pics from Smith's PORNO and THUNDER - Mar 05, 2008 - 01:16pm
Stiller's movie actually sounds like it has potential, his movies are off and on, I haven't seen Heartbreak Kid yet, any good?
At least it sounds like a pretty original idea although I bet someone can find argument against me about that.
Butler's Evil Twins Abiding CITIZEN - Mar 05, 2008 - 09:00am
Well, if he did get convicted for the crime and he didn't do it; then that means nobody knows who did it so why would he? So, I understand why the D.A. might be the next possible target for him. Hell, the D.A. could have been involved we don't know enough about the story yet. Anyway, I've heard of people doing crazier stuff...I mean just watch some of the true crime shows out there (documentaries); sometimes I'm like if a fictional movie came like this no one would believe this crap. Like yesterday I was watching a show where a seventeen year old girl kidnapped a five year old and her and her boyfriend raped, choked, and drove a nail on a two by four through the girls heart killing her. Ten minutes later the cops came in looking (neighbors saw her get taken in) and almost didn't find her until one cop saw a foot stickng out of the trash can. Nowadays when I watch movies I think of crap like that and I don't find a lot of what people do farfetched anymore.
First look of Liev Schreiber As CREED - Mar 04, 2008 - 01:19pm
I guess it doesn't look too bad though the context of the picture with him eating an apple and having that 'doh' look on his face takes alot away from it. I'm going to reserve judgement until one within the context of the movie, not just srtanding around the set, comes up.
I will go as far to say that I bet atleast five people complain that either he's not blonde, not muscular looking enough, or that he's not Tyler Mane.
Child Logan Recast in WOLVERINE - Mar 02, 2008 - 04:23pm
Well, whoever are the original kid's handlers are they made a good decision keeping him on 'The Road' rather than this. I mean this still might be good but I think the movie to 'The Road' will be better. I just read this book yesterday in one sitting while at work. Nolan had nothing else for us to do so we just sat around the lot alot and stared at sh!t. I stared at the book.
Magnolia Lets The RIGHT Vampire In - Feb 26, 2008 - 08:40am
Let me go ahead and say even though I hate the Swedes...That sh!t looks tight.
Let me also go ahead and say...I don't really hate Swedes.
Dimension Grabs Hill's LOCKE & KEY - Feb 26, 2008 - 08:32am
I know a lot of people might call me sacrilegious or stupid but Joe Hill's book Heart Shaped Box was better (aside from the Dark Tower series, aside from the ending) than Stephen King books in the later years. Cell was cool until it got stupid and that's pretty much how the last of his books have turned out for me recently.
Go Joe Hill I wonder what kind of books his brother Owen writes. Here I come Amazon.
Von Sydow Plays Doctor at SHUTTER ISLAND - Feb 26, 2008 - 08:27am
Tell you what but Denis Lehane is definitely the go to guy now for source material and deservedly so. His books are the shiznit. Two movies that were directed and acted in by famous people that turned out to be excellent and now a movie directed by Scorcese? That only means soon all his books will be made and hopefully just as good. Though I hope they continiue using Ben Affleck and Casey for the rest of the Patrick Mckenzie and Angela Gennaro series.
On a side note I'm sick of everytime I visit this site in I have that damn quiz pop up in another window now. What the hell is up with that?
Snyder's Wrap Blog on WATCHMEN - Feb 20, 2008 - 01:51am
I could never get into the Watchmen when I was younger, my friend had the trade, and I've attempted many times and I don't intend to either for economical reasons but I do intend seeing this movie just because Snyder's attached to it. This pic, by the way, looks cool as sh!t.
Paramount Plans Urban Homage in SHADY TALEZ - Feb 20, 2008 - 12:07am
And why does hip-hop find it necessary to change the way things are spelled and use incorrect grammar. Like that movie Way She Move? No wonder no one's (okay, not everybody) learning anything nowadays in the hood.
Three More Confirmed for WOLVERINE - Feb 20, 2008 - 12:04am
So, who wants to guess how much they screw up/change Deadpool's costume in this one? I hate the Ultimate Deadpool, which is weird because I tend to favor the Ultimate version of characters, when they do change them. Ultimate Deadpool though looks like my doo-doo's puke.
Page & Murphy Thrill in PEACOCK - Feb 14, 2008 - 10:28pm
Wow! Two movies (Triangle being the other) about split personalities coming out at the same time. What a weird coincedence. That's quite a coincedence.
Coen Bros. Adapting YIDDISH Police Tale - Feb 12, 2008 - 07:51am
Yeah, I don't care who wins what really. I'm sure they're the only ones who care, and if I was them, I wouldn't. I"m not big on awards or fanfare myself. I'd be more along like Fiona Apple and Pearl Jam on the note. Who wins what doesn't effect my enjoyment of the movie later on and if I haven't seen a movie I don't go..."Oh, this movie won...blah, blah, blah" or "Oh, look this actor won/was nominated an Oscar". I loved both movies. Although, maybe I think it should have been clearer that there were twins in There Would Be Blood because that confused the hell out of me. They might have because I dozed off for a little, little bit during the flick. (I was up twenty plus hours working, drinking, working, then going to a movie without sleep inbetween anything).
Eccleston Plans to Destroy G.I JOE - Feb 12, 2008 - 07:46am
For the people that say he doesn't have the voice for it. Um, Heath Ledger sounds nothing like Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight. And this guys English, and I'm sure he's changed his voice to do American accents somewhere down the line. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that won't be a problem.
Coen Bros. Adapting YIDDISH Police Tale - Feb 12, 2008 - 12:32am
I can't believe they're going to let the Coen Brothers make another movie after that atrocity that they called "No Country for Old Men".
Psyche!
Coen Brothers? I'm there. I don't care if they're directing the next Carebears or Pee Wee Herman movie.
First Look at Gilliam's DOCTOR PARNASSUS - Feb 11, 2008 - 02:31pm
I read somewhere that Gilliam wants Depp to take over Ledger's role. He says there's an instance in the film where Ledger falls through a magic mirror and that would be the perfect oppurtunity to make the story work for the switch. But he doesn't quite know yet.
INDY Trailer Confirmed Next Week - Feb 08, 2008 - 11:14am
They didn't have American Eagle back then. What a douche. No, I'm actually typing this in the bathroom and my roommate's girlfriend has this strawberry rasberry stuff. Wonder what it'd taste like on salad?
Ben Foster Recruited for MESSENGER - Feb 08, 2008 - 10:23am
Raithmanan, well, I was in the Army and that was the worst job I could think of in the Army. But Westend is probably right, I didn't think of that but I don't think that's an actual MOS. (job in the Army) It's probably just part of a duty. Dunno though.
No reason.
