It's Igor, as in "eeegor." My brother often mentions "eyegor" as well, simply because "Young Frankenstein" is such a favorite. It is important to me not to parody a parody. Besides, how could you make fun of Mel Brooks? All the serious stuff needs to be deflated and all the fun things need to be worshipped. Why parody a parody? It shows a real lack of originality. Some may think my "Igor" does, but it's flatly making fun of just the Frankenstein and Igor archetypes, not the actual story. Yes, some of it leaks in, but you can't help it. I like to think of my project as what 2004's Van Helsing COULD'VE BEEN, if done properly. There was always just too much potential.

I still can't figure out why Jarrod thought I was a girl. It says MALE on my site. My first name is AL...well actually it's not but it's a shortened version of the name that I hate that begins with the first letters A and L. (That was in honor of "Weird Al" Yankovic.) Glad to read your blogs...and anyone else's actually. It's always fun to see what others are up to.

I loves me some cartoons. Word! Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, the Gummi Bears, Jimmy Neutron, Dexter's Lab (oh, it's DEXTERS LAAAAABBBB!!!), Fairly Odd Parents... It's all good. They all laughed -- LAUGHED!!! -- when I said I watch cartoons...but whose laughing now huh? Oh, wait...they are. At me, no less. BUT I STILL GET MY ANIMATED KICKS!

You know, NAF, I'm considering a new Igor project. You like the general fun of the hunchback, so I'll see what you think first: After "Life and Times of Igor" is resolved, Igor and Frankenstein retire. The idea of a stand alone project hit me today: "Igor's Halloween Havoc." (rough title only) The general idea is Igor, Frankenstein and the rest are called upon to deal with problems with a rival mad scientist pulls down the full moon on Halloween, causing it to be more prevalent than the sun, thus giving that mad scientist power over all the werewolves and vampires in Transylvania. That's the general idea for now. It'd very likely be a comic book as well. (Or a movie, hell I don't know yet.) What say you?
