Haven't slept since I saw the clip of the Emmerich movie, 2012! (Did anyone else notice that the clip uses the soundtrack from Kubrick's "The Shining"?)
Even if Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic is up and running by December 2012, it would only be above the flood an hour or so and then there'd be nowhere to land... Maybe the only solution is to start building an ark? We are led to believe that that worked last time. We'll need to find room on the ark for selected human beings (the entry criteria will be very strict!), the Mice and the Termites (but they'll have to promise not to nibble away at the ark!). Hopefully, the dolphins will swim alongside the ark...
