With the dawn of a new year, we also have a dawn of new era of Star Wars about to begin. Hasbro, Lucasfilm, and Disney have revealed the first figure for Star Wars Rebels. Check out these two exclusive images of the show’s new villain The Inquisitor. More images are promised to come this February at the International Toy Fair. Mania will in attendance (for the seventh straight year) to cover the event!

Press Release: The Inquisitor, the Empire's Jedi hunter and a major new villain in the highly anticipated Star Wars Rebels animated series, was unveiled by Lucasfilm at this year's New York Comic Con. Today, StarWars.com is excited to present the official reveal for the character's first ever 3.75-inch action figure from Hasbro.

The figure -- the first to be seen from the upcoming Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends line -- features five points of articulation, show-accurate accessories, and is sculpted in the art style of the series. Look for the Inquisitor and the Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends line to hit store shelves in fall 2014, and stay tuned for more Star Wars Rebels toy news from Hasbro at international Toy Fairs and here at StarWars.com.

 Looks like a badass

I like the way Lucasfilms has embraced  3-D animated media.  Can't for the life of me understand why some genius at Warner Bros. or Disney/Marvel can't see the potential for this with Comic Book Super Heroes which are actually derived from animated books.  Instead they keep putting make-up and costumes on the same old tired human actors like the Gigli  guy and cranking out uninspired  2 to 2-1/2 hour blockbuster movies or dumb TV series like MAoS.  You can see the possibilities when you watch trailers for Super Hero themed video games like Arkham Origins.

Damn it, yes he looks cool, but also looks like a huge gimmick...

I was really hoping they would stay away from gimmicky villains and be more rough and ready like a western in space.

@ blankczech

Well put, but then again look what happened to Tintin... I always wanted Tommy Lee Jones to play Captain Haddock in live action, and yes I REALLY enjoyed the film the first time I saw it, but I look at it now and there is something dead looking about those characters...

I am looking forward to this but I REALLLY wanted the live action TV series instead!!!

Beware The Bat is 3D animation and it looks awful...

I wanted Batman as a live action TV series, too... Okay so Batman in 'MoS' universe is closer in age to DKR Batman, so why not have a TV series set a decade...

Damn isn't that what Arrow is?

Damn it I want to see a live action Batman TV series!!!!!!!

2 thumbs up! I think he can be a good villian. Can't wait to see where this show goes. Happy New Year.

Why since Maul do they have to do double light sabers for every attempt at new bad guy?  Only one Maul and a wasted oppuntunity for Lucas after first botched attempt to bring back Star Wars with one of the most interesting new characters he created.   The toon show with him was even interesting also and they scraped that.  Do they not do focus testing anymore with real people on what people like anymore?

I think they had duel lightsabers in video games before Maul.

Bunyon, "Batman in 'MoS' universe is closer in age to DKR Batman"  Where are you getting that info from? The Batman in the MoS sequel is supposed to be 40-ish.  Batman in DKR is 55-ish.  There's a big difference in that age range.  But I will agree, I think an early Batman TV series would be awesome.
