Hey wise I just met Margot Kidder at Lexington Comic Con. I'd still hit that.
How I wish I had never destroyed all my toys.
It would be nice if they found an excuse to give us a scene with him in full costume for a change. I know the hollywood suits think costumes are stupid but Hugh Jackman would look dope in the costume and Wolverine has one of the coolest. Do the brown and tan or black and gray stay away from the yellow and blue.
I have to agree with all of you. THis show was excellent in it's quality and story. Loved the animation style as well. CN is the death of superhero animation. The suits there have rationalized away all of the best DC heroes stuff to it's grave. They pushed JLU into a time slot where it could not be found. They killed off the Batman and destroyed GL with some awful animation style. They really need to hire a keen comic guy to give them some directions and lock the suits out of the room. Bruce TImm and Paul Dini would be my pick as they know the DC characters pretty well. Throw in Frank Miller and Geoff Johns and you would have a team of talent for the ages.
Ang Lee's Hulk: Hmmm they put him in a room with his crazy father who killed his mother knowing that making him angry triggers the hulk like some bizarre episode of the Jerry Springer show. Sorry but that is the weakest plot device to trigger a horrible final battle scene ever. Ang's Hulk is probably the biggest waste of comic book hero oppurtunity ever!!!
Awesome movie overall but Nolan still cant film a fight scene to save his life. Batman never throws a single kick at Bane and just punches like he's John Wayne for crying out loud. Next iteration better have some killer fighting to go along with the stellar drama that Nolan was able to acheive. Hire Jet Li or even Steven Segal to choreograph the fights for crying out loud.
I have to say that this was one of the better animated films from DC . I liked Red hood wonder woman batman year one crisis and doom. Ive said it a couple times on these boards that all of DC s animated tales have higher play rates in my home then any of the live action movies including Nolans Bat flicks. Timm, Dini and McDuffie just get these characters in such a way that is so heartfelt and love the fact that there are no boundaries in their world. Hollywood simply makes to many rules for these stories in order to appeal to 14 year old girls and whoever else. THe animated stuff is for comic geeks plain and simple.
Im kinda tired of JRJ art work to be honest. I dont understand why he is Marvel's tentpole artist. He draws everyone the same. I mean his style works with somethings(Kick Ass) but I can think of a lot of artists that would blow this book up. Gary Frank, Oliver Copiel, Steve Mcniven, and Numerous others would make this series awesome. JRJ is sort of played out for me. THe stroy was OK though.
I think the shaky cam helps drive down the costs of special effect laden movies such as this and cloverfield. The shaky lower quality camera helps to cover up shoddy FX thus making it cheaper to produce. District 9 and Cloverfield were done with a $30 millinon budget and so this is a risk they will take to as a storytelling device to drive down costs.

This was pretty lame. The worst part was how slow superman was. So many times he stopped and stared and paused when he should of cleaned the floor up with Brainiac. I mean it's not like he just became Superman. By now he should know how powerful he is and smashed Brainiac to pieces. And dont get me started on how little he seemed to care about all the other bottled cities that Brainiac had stored on his ship. He only seemed to care about Kandor when he was tearing apart the ship. I rank this as the bottom of the barrell and DC needs to get its stuff back together because thier animated films where all the had over Marvel.
