NEW Hercules: The Thracian Wars Photo

Johnson shares shot after wrap

By Robert T. Trate     October 19, 2013

Hercules arrives July 25th 2014

Dwayne Johnson released a new photo on his Twitter from Brett Ratner’s Hercules: The Thracian Wars. Check out the image below. It looks pretty epic. Hopefully, the film can thrive on its cast and ignore Ratner’s directing.

Synopsis: Having enduring his legendary twelve labors, Hercules, the Greek demigod, has his life as a sword-for-hire tested when the King of Thrace and his daughter seek his aid in defeating a tyrannical warlord.

Hercules: The Thracian Wars stars Dwayne Johnson, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Aksel Hennie, Reece Ritchie and Tobias Santelmann. The film is based on the Radical Studios graphic novel "Hercules: The Thracian Wars."

Hercules: The Thracian Wars opens July 25th, 2014.

I like the Rock a lot but my doubts about this can't be denied. He just does not look like any Hercules I've ever envisioned .

Still I'll be seeing both Hercules films. Harlin's may even be better we'll see

The worst thing about the movie is Brett Rather. It maybe ok , seeing no sidekick like Chris Tucker in the credits either  and I saw on U tube they were putting on the makeup and stuff on the Rock , but wouldn't show yet how he will look . I guess He will look more like the Scorpion King with longer hair.

Two comments on this thread and all ready a lot of doubt and hate for this film...Trate and domino2008 think Ratner can't direct and Wiseguy doesn't think Johnson looks like the fictional character.

As for soon as the blu-ray disk arrives at Redbox in early 2015, I'll lay out my $1.50 plus tax, and check it out

blank, lmfao!!!! I think it's gonna be o.k I saw part of how his face will look and let me tell you it's not the rock' it is the rock but his face is transformed crazy gonna see it for free anyway...

Actually Wiseguy, this is exactly how Hercules/Herakles SHOULD look, good to see they have kept the Lion Cloak...

BunyonSnipe 10/20/2013 4:19:24 PM

Again the proper Herakles story is still better than ANY adaptation to date, it's a real journey from horny teenager to family murdering monster then finding redemption and godhood, it's pretty epic...

BunyonSnipe 10/20/2013 4:20:08 PM

I'm guessing it's the stunt double...

So is this the classic greek mythology story involving gods and fantastic creatures or a grounded to reality movie like Troy?

jedibanner 10/21/2013 6:45:50 AM

Grounded to reality but way better then Troy EIBaz13, if you can read the comic, well worth the time, it's a great book.
