The highway between here and Minni is covered in ice.  Not going to happen for me either.

Mania Box Office Report: Katniss, of Course! (Article) - 11/24/2014 8:28:21 AM

I would have liked to take in Mockingjay this weekend, but I was outvoted in favour of live theatre.  The following night, the weather was not worth risking life and limb to go out to the show.  I'm wondering if something as obvious as weather may have had an impact on the weekends take.  I'm looking in your direction Buffalo.

The Walking Dead: Consumed Review (Article) - 11/17/2014 11:49:30 PM

I.........liked the episode.  I was more focused on how the relationship had evolved between Carol and Darryl.   The "You were a boy, and now you're a man." line really hit it.  I found it more interesting on what they didn't do when they were finally alone and on a bed together.  (Yes, I am talking about the horizontal mambo)  That is not what this relationship is about, it is different in a way that has been shaped by the world around them.  Pretty cool how it is playing out.

Noah is fast becoming a scene stealing character, very well acted.  This in a Darryl/Carol centric episode!  Big props to stealing Darryl's crosssbow and still be breathing after your next meeting!

Many thanks to Rob for getting this WD review up for the episode.  It's almost midway break time!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Writing on the Wall Review (Article) - 11/14/2014 9:22:23 PM

Very good storyline progress this week, I really liked it.

Ward is a better character every single week it seems.

Strange that Flash, which comes on after MAOS has a review first thing the next morning, while this show with a bigger audience gets one a few days later.  (Walking Dead which is the biggest show ever didn't even get one this week.)  The only reason I say so is because I do enjoy the reviews and especially the maniacs comments section.

Back on track, I said out loud that it was Attilan when they showed it, and coincedentally enough, this weeks Hulk and the agents of SMASH episode was about Attilan.  Maybe not coincedance.

First Look at THANOS VS. HULK #1! (Article) - 11/11/2014 4:48:16 AM

I'm in for this ride.  With only four issues, it should have a breakneck pace.  I'd like for a bunch more Hulk vs " " mini series.

The Walking Dead: Slabtown Review (Article) - 11/3/2014 10:03:15 PM

I wouldn't say that Beth is my least favorite, just the most withdrawn, in the way that she rarely outwardly expresses her position on a situation.  She has a knowing look, built from a growing experience of having to deal with the new world.  My least favorite would be her sister.  I'm not sold on the decisions made by her on the show.

I liked the episode, and allowed for a step into the next chapter for the group.  Hints and guesswork will move it along at a decent enough pace.  Well done explanation of the hierachy within the new group, a little too murky at the decisions made to ensure the pecking order.  The rape could have been done matter-of-fact, industrial, to make it more shocking, but it would have felt more like Terminus.  No, this is a different kind of crazy to be found in the world that they now find themselves in.  I liked it, as it showed a bit of shame for Dawn not to come right out and say it.

I agree with the Noah suggestion as it makes perfect sense to keep the storyline moving at a great pace.

With Carol in there now, the only question is how many of Dawn's little cadre survive after she wakes up?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: A Fractured House Review (Article) - 10/30/2014 8:58:46 PM

It looked kinda like sTArwARs.  Very nice.

I had the feeling that Coulson had already anticipated his escape.  Hell, I did and I'm not the head of SHEILD.

I like the Fitzsimmons scenes so far.  I also like that they are getting help for their situation from another member of the team.  It integrates them into the team as a part of the storyline.

Skye is continuing to improve as a main character and storyline as well.
