Goodbye Maniacs (Article) - 2/20/2015 7:06:12 AM

Finally remembered my password for this site!!

I just wanted to post and say if this site does disappear, it will be missed by me.

Although I've rarely posted, I made sure to check this site every day. From the days of Cinescape to now, I was always lurking.
Hell, I remember going through my dads Cinescape magazines. That's what brought me here in the end.
The news and the community definitely made this site a great place to be!

Dark Knight Rises Parody (Article) - 7/18/2012 2:52:15 PM

I understand Mr Wayne is a well-known figure in Gotham City and would have to alter his voice while he is Batman so he isn't recognized.

I think they problem everyone has with Bale's Batman voice is how log and gritty sounding it is. You can change your voice without sounding like you're talking as a monster or something.

How many films are out there with actors/actresses that when they normally speak, have an accent yet when they take on a movie role, seem to lose that accent and sound completely different?
A recent example would be Andrew Garfield. Listen to his voice and accent in the interviews he does, and yet when you watch TASM, do you hear that same accent? Nope. He was able to alter his voice.

I'm not saying Batman should start using an accent. But he doesn't need to sound like he's trying to scare the crap outta some 12 yr old kid.

Thomas Jane's Punisher short (Article) - 7/17/2012 12:34:29 PM

After seeing this, they definately need to get Jane and Joanou working on a film ASAP. Jane was the best Punisher and it was a shame the director didn't do the film justice.

Joanou seems to understand what the Punisher is truly about and this short shows.

This 10 min short > than all Punisher movies.

Game of Thrones: VALAR MORGHULIS Review (Article) - 6/22/2012 8:40:55 PM

Mania Review: Dark Shadows (Article) - 5/12/2012 5:02:31 PM

Well I can say the trailers for this movie never thrilled me so I don't plan on seeing this one in theaters. i'll wait to rent it.

On a side note, though. I read an article on my phone from Fox News talking about Depp and Burton working together and what-not. What concerned me was the article mentioned Depp would have been interested to play the role of Batman in Burton's version if had been given the chance. With Nolan wrapping up his trilogy on the Dark Knight, is it possible we will be seeing Burton remaking his version of Batman with Depp as the lead? *shudders*

Game of Thrones: The Ghost of Harrenhal Review (Article) - 5/1/2012 10:00:48 AM

Definately loved this episode! Next week can't get here soon enough!

As far as dialogue, though, I believe they borrow heavily from the books. I'm currently reading book 1 at the moment so I don't know for sure.
But so far it seems that season 1's dialogue was almost dead-on with the book.

Universal Resurrects Dracula Year Zero (Article) - 2/13/2012 3:28:06 PM

From what I get out of the trailer is that it originaly starts with the normal samurai doing their thing.

Then the big battle and the "fall of an empire."

I believe the movie will then pick up years down the road with the survivor from that battle still fighting the war in the future.

Thus, since it's now more in the future, perhaps samurai have started using robots and things that shoot missiles in their arsenal.

Other than that I got no clue, but I did dig the visual style of it all.

TV Wasteland: Kevin Smith Must Be Stopped (Article) - 2/7/2012 3:15:53 PM

Can't wait for the Walking Dead return!

Me and the woman have been watching that Face Off show on ScyFy, it's actually pretty interesting. One of the few things worth watching on that channel.

I gotta agree with Wise on Key and Peele. I hope they can keep it up as well.

*looks around for a few moments*

Mania Review: Underworld: Awakening (Article) - 1/23/2012 12:38:35 AM

Did anyone actually believe the Underworld series to be different from the Resident Evil films? They are both about letting your mind loose and just sitting back and enjoying the ride.

I watched Underworld yesterday just wanting non-stop action and some fun.....and that's what I got! If I went in expecting the movie to be A Beautiful Mind, I would sorely be disappointed.
But I know the series mainly focused on the action and fun and I was satisfied with it. I didn't regret spending the cash on 3d one bit. I actually feel that once I see this film in standard format, it won't be the same. The movie seemed very geared to showing off what 3d is capable of and it did it well.

I don't know how many times I caught the fiance trying to dodge objects as things exploded lol!

I was happy with the movie and got what I expected out of it. I actually hope they continue the story on this one. If I had to rate the serious on my faves, I'd say it's Underworld 1, 4, 3 and 2 being the last. I actually enjoyed the 3rd Underworld more compared to the 2nd one.

First Resident Evil: Retribution Trailer Hits (Article) - 1/20/2012 1:00:55 PM

I think the reason there's so much people shown in the movie is because this movie is supposed to show events before the outbreak began, I what Alice was like in the past and what-not.
