2007: The Year in Review, Part Two - Jan 05, 2008 - 11:12am
I have read the Amazing Spiderman comic since 1981 and I have read many story arcs that have pissed me off and left me wondering why I sunk all my money into them...then I would take a hiatus from the comic for about 6 months or so and the ship would right itself. Whether that meant the writer was replaced or new editor was put into place (hint hint) the problem eventually fixed itself. I have seen it with titles like X-men & Daredevil as well. Just stop buying the comic for six months (and boy that will really hurt them since they will be doing 3 Amazing Spidermans a month now) Which I think is piss poor to start something like that on the heels of such an awful story arc. 6 months in the comic book world is like 6yrs ...their be some changes ..hopefully for the better. Spidermans to good of a character to kill off ...he always find a way to bounce back. See ya! My grade is 3.0 for Straczynski and a .5 to Joe Q which averages out to 2.75 I wish Straczynski luck with other titles he will be tackling. They should offer him an editing job somewhere. See ya!
X-FILES 2 Is Ready To Go - Jul 16, 2007 - 10:45pm
If Star Trek from the 60's can get four new TV Show spin offs and upteen movies about that world made. I think X-files (who lasted 6 seasons longer than the original Star Trek) deserves a second Movie if not twenty. Bring on Scully, bring on Mulder, bring on Dogget, bring on the rat. Bring on aliens, bring on demons, mutants, genies, ghosts, cryptozoology 101.....I'll eat it up like an all over body tattoo wearing circus freak eats raw fish right out of a public river does. See ya!
Warner's Goes for SHANNARA Series - Jun 06, 2007 - 09:17pm
I liked the series but I personally don't think it's worthy of a movie so close to LOTR. We need something a little different ...say Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series...now that's a franchise much like Star Wars if not with MORE potential than LOTR and Star Wars put together. Come on Warner Brothers do your research The Dragon Reborn alot more buzz and interest on the web about this series than Shannara...hmmm maybe they couldn't get the movie rights to that series because somebody already has them Red Eagle Entertainement?....See ya!
