I saw this on Friday afternoon in a large theatre. It was just me and 3 other people who came together. I think that says a lot about where this movie will wind up on the list of comic book films. The end was fine, the rest was blah. I like the wise-cracking teen that was the Peter Parker in the comics. They played him as a way too "rolling eyes" type of teenager to suit me. I did not find that I really rooted for this PP.
Show us the Blue/Gray suit in the closet. Leave it there. I would like a mix of Batman Begins with a little more of the Michael Keaton personality. A little sarcasm or a dry wisecrack here and there wouldn't hurt anything. I'm not looking for comedy, I want to see that he is human. Humans can find a little humor in the worst situations. Robin will be tricky. I would like to see it, but I 'm just not sure it can be done. The comics have years to develop the relationship, a movie won't.

Nashville. The theatre was very busy and I was very suprised when I walked in and I was the only one in the auditorium. I dont know what they were all going to see, but it wasn't Spiderman. The be fair, they had several screens going (one in 3D (mine), one in fake Imax and a non 3D). I went to see The Avengers again a month after it opened and the theater was still pretty full under the same conditions.
