Damon did revise his statement with the success the third installement ingnited in the franchise, but he indicated that he wanted to do something else first. I think he just needs a break from JB to spread his acting wings as many actors do.

I will say, that I'm looking foward to this. I M's directorial style, though he should not put himself in them again. I'll agree that Lady is my least favorite, but I did not hate it. But I would have rather waited for DVD. teh only other one I was disapointed with was Unbreakable. I had diferent expectations. Which is the worst thing you can do going into any movie. How many of you hold back on telling a friend how much you loved a movie so there expectations aren't too high? I will defend Village, I loved it. in my top three with Signs N 6th. The biggest mistake with Village was the trailer previews made it look like a "monster" movie, which set peoples expectation in the wrong direction. It played a big part, but they should have really low keyed that. People would still have gone to the theatre. M. was at his hight still. That is also part of the problem people had with the village. It's hard to stay on top movie after movie while still staying fresh. Just one untrained man's opinion who happens to love movies :)
