Thanx for the comment, 2001 has always been one of my fav's. Even as a kid, I was amazed by the distances and tech that where involved in the film's world. Cryo stasis, artificial gav created using a form of centrifuge built into the Odyssey, and the true silence of space. Kubrick did a fantastic job telling the story that Arthur C. Clarke wrote, in this background...this film still stands the test of time, even today. Not bad for a movie produced and filmed in 1967 and then released in 1968.
