The FBI and CIA have had their own TV series depictions, so why not NASA, too?
The ABC TV network has placed a put pilot commitment on a project called ASTRONAUTS from 20th Century Fox TV and Industry Entertainment. The pilot and potential series is the creation of scribe Todd Robinson (WHITE SQUALL).
The story, which is being described as having elements along the lines of TOP GUN, THE WEST WING and THE RIGHT STUFF, will focus on the men and women in the astronaut's training program at NASA.
Robinson will write the pilot episode as well as take an executive producer credit along with Nick Wechsler and Emile Levisetti.
