Abe Sapien, the psychic humanoid amphibious paranormal investigator of Hellboy fame, gets the deluxe treatment with this super-sized figure. Standing a towering eighteen inches tall, this Abe Sapien is faithful to the design of Abe as seen in Hellboy 2:The Golden Army. Abe features fifteen points of articulation, removable goggles, and removable breathing apparatus.
Robert’s tiny bit of information on this figure: I saw old Abe here at the 2008 International Toy Fair. He has been long in coming but if this new version for 2009 is anything like the one I saw in 2008 he is worth picking up. Last year Mezco had an awesome collection of SDCC Exclusives (seen here) and several sold out the first day. What makes Abe here a perfect collector’s piece is that he belongs with the 18 inch Hellboy that Mezco released last year (seen here). Get this one the first day out in San Diego or buy it at Mezco Direct. To be sure you get one I would buy it at Mezco Direct.
