I was never a huge fan of this film. It was OK, but I didn't think it was great....had some really cool flying stunts though.

With a sequel to Top Gun in development hell, Paramount has still decided to bring Top Gun into the 3D world. I remember seeing the film back in 1986 at the theater. Truly that is how it was meant to be seen, on the big screen. Add to the fact that now it will be in 3D and IMAX and Top Gun has become (again) a must see film. Sadly, the scary part now is how time has not been kind to Kelly McGillis nor Val Kilmer.
Top Gun 3D has no official release date yet.
*Side Note: Did anyone else thing Maverick (Tom Cruise) started World War III because of his actions at the end of the film?

movie trivia: what was goose's real name? i.e. maverick was Pete Mitchell.
Robert T.Tray can't spell "think" lol..it's cool half the time i can't spell that good also, then again i'm still learning English, ..o.k back to the movie, hummm, no, no thank you i pass on this. the movie is to slow not enough action and was cool back in the day but not worth the money today for a 3-D wannabee...
Top Gun what? Airline pilots (homage to an SNL skit) Probably going to have Maverick do a Sullenberger on the Hudson.
I'll pass. Top Gun was great when I was a teen, but as an adult the fact that there's no plot is painfully obvious. What passes for plot points don't make any sense.
So now they're updating old movies from the 80's with 3D? Is this really a good idea?
