Mania Exclusive: Shirley Manson Interview - Sep 05, 2008 - 07:00am
Shirley's cool. I'm just glad they're not having her play a teenager. I was wondering if they would do something like that since she's 42 but looks like she could be 16. Too bad they couldn't add Michelle Ryan. She doesn't seem to be doing much these days. Since she was the only reason I watched Bionic Woman, I couldn't even tell you one episode's plot of that show.

PRISON BREAK: Scylla/Breaking and Entering - Sep 04, 2008 - 08:49am
I for one am glad for the direction change. I have to agree with your #3 Pirate. I kinda like the angle of "working for the bigger picture", even if enemies have to be allies. I got a little tired of the constant cat and mouse chasing going on. One of the major things we have gotten from this show is we have gotten to know the existing characters very well. And that's all we know. We have grown to enjoy them. I even kinda felt bad for Mahone for a moment. All he wanted was to be with his family. That's also probably why Rappaport's character isn't going to be well received. We know nothing about him, so who cares, right? I'll give him a chance. And as far as being predictable, I have to admit, once the assassin dude started on his hunt after finding out about them not being in any prison, I started to get anxious. Particularly when Michael and Sarah were on the dock talking and getting all sentimental. I was waiting for a bullet to explode through her forehead. Or at least something of that nature to happen. So I don't find it completely predictable. Anyway, for me, the season seems like it has potential. I'm hoping for the best, anyway.

Nolan's Call on a Third BATMAN - Aug 27, 2008 - 05:56am
I totally agree Pony. It's like the WB realizes that Christopher Nolan is the best thing that's ever happened to the company in it's history, so kissing his ass is the only way to make sure he can be the new "king of the world". Finally a company that actually WANTS to keep their White Knight happy and content. Even if it's just a business decision for them, at least they are making the best decision that'll not only fatten their wallets but make us happy all at the same time. Why the hell can't more companies follow suit?

TV Wasteland: Ron Moore Goes Virtual - Aug 19, 2008 - 08:50am
Is it just me, or does the ship in the pick actually look like a slightly similar design to Serenity herself? It's like Fox doesn't want to admit that they screwed up with Firefly. Besides, with Fringe coming up as well, they need to have a back-up just in case. They always do.

Four New Character Posters for STAR TREK - Aug 11, 2008 - 09:05am
Does it really surprise anyone that no footage has yet to be released? It's JJ Abrams. The man's as tight as a nun's ass when it comes to anything he's doing.

Whedon Travels to Cabin in the WOODS - Jul 08, 2008 - 09:21am
As far as I'm concerned, it's almost a certainty that no matter what Joss touches, the chances are better than great that it'll be good. It's a shame that Dollhouse is going to be on Fox. If there's any constant in this universe that prevails, it's the fact that Fox LOVES to cancel stuff, practically before the first episode is even finished showing. Or they'll screw with it like they did Firefly. Here's to hoping history doesn't repeat itself. Again.

Director for Earth Stood Still Talks GORT - Jul 07, 2008 - 09:24am
What made the original great was the sense of suspense throughout the whole movie. From the second Klaatu exits the ship to the eventual climax at the end, I always felt the build-up of everything that was happening, but still being kept in the dark about it. I will definitely give it a chance, but with today's filmmaker's track record of wanting to CGI everything up and make things look pretty a lot, I fear that whole feeling of suspense may get lost in the mix.

Wiseman Returns to Adapting GEARS - Jun 17, 2008 - 05:34pm
Allow me to thank all that is good and holy in the world that Uwe Boll has absolutely nothing to do with this.

Central Park Becomes Mystical Realm for WB - Jun 13, 2008 - 09:54am
Agreed pony. NY is my favorite city to visit and having seen with my own eyes what exists in CP, the movie would be just another big budget documentary.

New Information on GEARS 2 - May 28, 2008 - 09:25am
I wasn't a fan of the GoW at first. Then I got into it a little further and ended up loving it. It was even better playing in co-op mode. I'm very much looking forward to this one. Love the new chainsaw attacks.

Hill Out of TRANSFORMERS 2 - May 07, 2008 - 01:06pm
All I can say is aside from how huge the first one was all around, if talks have broken down between him and a movie that Steven Spielberg has anything to do with, he and/or his agent may want to set their standards a little lower. Being in anything Spielberg has his hands in, to me, could make an acting career the equivalent to solid gold. He seems to be a decent actor so far, but damn.

Strike Victims - Feb 18, 2008 - 06:38am
My wife and I said the same thing last night about Prison Break, pony. The acting and story has been great but if it goes on too much longer, it'll begin the path down monotony road. As a side note, though, I hope we get to see Michael do what I know I've been waiting for to Susan. Don't get me wrong, she's been great as an evil freakin' bitch, but she definitely deserves to "suffer a Sarah" now.

JUMPER Teleports Into First Place - Feb 18, 2008 - 05:54am
I saw Jumper Friday night and was not disappointed. I was impressed with the F/X as well. The concept was very entertaining in itself. The pacing went about right for me and they didn't make the audience feel like idiots by feeling the need to explain everything like other movies do all too often. It's left to your imagination, but without weakening the point. I hope they continue with the proposed trilogy.

Strike Victims - Feb 18, 2008 - 05:23am
The only real reason I watched Bionic Woman was because Michelle Ryan is freakin' beautiful. To be honest, I don't even remember most of the stories, only that she was part of them. Too bad it was too soon to shake BW or there were probably scheduling conflicts to put her in the female lead on Knight Rider. That would've been a treat. The one they chose seemed very weak so far. Yeah, Pushing Daisies is already known to be coming back, so I was happy about that. The show's quirky, and sometimes sick humor are what keeps it going. But it won't be back until the Fall at the earliest. I'm very glad people have continuted to watch Supernatural. That's another great show that almost got the axe but didn't. And now with the whole demon war thing happening, the story possibilities are endless. Let's not forget about Journeyman, which I've read is on the same ship to the nethers as BW. Maybe I'm in a minority that really liked that show, but it definitely deserved more of a chance than it got. I'm always a stickler for time travel stuff.

JUMPER - Feb 15, 2008 - 09:17pm
Just saw it a little while ago. Won't give anything away to those that would rather see it, but I thought it was awesome. The pace kept me interested and they left what needed to be left to the imagination, to the imagination without the common need to explain it. That is something I always worry about. It was an hour and a half of great entertainment. I left wanting more. And Hayden did a great job.

WGA Strike Ending Within a Week?? - Feb 02, 2008 - 09:55pm
Eh, this is ok news. Doesn't help the shows that are getting killed off now, porbably due to the strike, or the fact that "24" probably won't show it's next season until next year at this point. But at least we can finally move on and simmer the talking about this whole thing. Hopefully.

Y: THE LAST MAN Trilogy Coming? - Jan 30, 2008 - 06:24am
Couldn't agree with you more ponyboy. Everyone goes through these phases where they hate on the guy that seems to be getting more and more screen time. Seriously, if he wasn't good, I seriously doubt Steven Spielberg would cast him for something as big as an Indiana Jones film just for face. It's sometimes almost like people possibly enjoy things with certain people in them, but are afraid to admit they enjoy it or the person, so they hate on them. Or they hate a movie so bad that the only way to bash it is to start hating on the actors, starting with the most popular. People are just too freakin' picky anymore. I'll see this more because he's in it.

CLOVERFIELD - Jan 20, 2008 - 02:09pm
estavares: At the very end of the credits, just after the music stops, you hear some whispering. But it's really hard to make out. Apparently it is a voice played backwards. When played forward, it's Rob saying, "It's still alive". So yeah, that's what it was.

CLOVERFIELD - Jan 19, 2008 - 05:39pm
****SPOILER ALERT***** If anyone stayed till the end of the credits, you would get the possible answer of whether or not the monster was eliminated. Just after the music stops, you hear whispering. Hard to make out, but turns out it is backwards. When reversed, it is Rob saying, "It's still alive." Found this out once I got home and couldn't sleep until I figured it out. The clip is on a few sites. Also, as far as it being a nuke, it's very possible it wasn't a nuke at all. Had it been, I don't know that the camera would've survived, much less had a tape in it that wasn't erased by the magnetic force of the blast. Just a thought. *****END SPOILER***** I loved the movie. It left me wondering (in a positive way), wanting more, and it didn't feel the need to explain everything off, making the audiance feel like idiots. And I get motion sickness worse than anyone I know, but I got through this fairly easily.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Talks ALICE Horror - Jan 17, 2008 - 04:45pm
Flint: Thanks for that. Needed a good laugh. I've always been leery about SMG playing Alice in this. She has a way of doing the freaky, out-there look in her eye as we say many times on Buffy, but the British accent has to be spot-on and she has to be as freakin' insane as Alice to pull it off. My first choice was always Juliet Landau (Dru from Buffy). The first time I saw her on Buffy playing a crazy-insane vampire the way she did, my first thought was she'd be a perfect Alice for American McGee's Alice. But she may be too old at this point as many would probably argue. Makeup and CGI can do wonders. Just my opinion.

Uwe Boll Responds to DUNGEON SIEGE Bombing - Jan 15, 2008 - 11:19am
I agree monkeyfoot. The world would be a better place if people would just get up and do what they love. He loves making movies, all the power to him. That said, why couldn't he have made this decision BEFORE making Far Cry (listed as being in post-production on IMDB)?

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Pilot - Jan 15, 2008 - 09:46am
Something else I forgot to mention. Did anyone else happen to notice, and maybe it's just me, that Sarah's ex kind of looks similar to Robert Patrick? I know it's a REALLY far stretch, but everytime he happened on the screen, I thought maybe the machines at some point use his likeness to make the T-1000 model to get close to John in the future or something. Again, it's a really far stretch I know. But interesting thought nonetheless.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Pilot - Jan 15, 2008 - 09:11am
And don't forget about one of the major continuity moments: what happens to their clothes during time travel. I was hoping to high heaven they would disappear like they were supposed to. Heady is perfect for this. Linda Hamilton was scrawny, even though she could do pull-ups with one hand. And they so far are making Heady seem scrawny and kind of weather-worn just like Hamilton was. 2 good points Boom. The idea of a Terminator being sent back to when Sarah Conner was a little girl or before to make sure she grew up to have John is a great story idea. I hope they do go somewhere with that kind of thing, especially since, you know, the show is called the Sarah Conner Chronicles. And I also thought about Cameron may have possibly been a love-interest of John's that was possibly killed or since he knew he would take to her looks anyway and make it easier for him to get used to her, make her look like someone he fell in love with.

Weinstein Company Sign Interim Deal with WGA - Jan 11, 2008 - 09:39am
The WGA's contract was up November 1st, so it was either strike or get on board with the same type of contract. They couldn't wait until the SAG's contract was up. I just hope this starts kicking into overdrive now. They won't be starting "24" until this is all over so here's to hoping...

Moore Talks More BSG Final Season in EW - Jan 09, 2008 - 10:55am
rgtchtiger, I thought I remember the mention of what happened to the originals early on in the series. I may be mistaken, but I thought I remember hearing on an episode that the Cylons captured the originals and made Cylon duplicates out of them, then killed the originals. I could be wrong but I swear I remember hearing that early on. I mentioned Cain and used my stretched explanation because so far, the human Cylons that we have discovered throughout the series had no idea they were even Cylons until their programmed mission kicked in. In this case, its possible Cains didn't kick in before Gina put a bullet in her head, in addition to Gina betraying her lover to begin with. That's what lead me to the, again stretched conclusion, that with the Cylons being more or less a collective, D'Anna apologized for Gina to what seemed to be the myster Cylon in the Temple of the Five. And now that I think about it, if there is decent logic to why the Cylons would benefit from her being a Cylon is the fact that she is a fleet Admiral. As in the leader of a lot of humans. I put it along with your theory of Zarek because it would be the perfect plan to have Cylons posted in positions of power. Cylons are good at weaseling their way up through the "system" without being noticed by the higher-ups. I admit it's a stretch of logic, but speculating is all we have until that awesome episode when we figure out who it actually is. Really looking forward to that.

Moore Talks More BSG Final Season in EW - Jan 08, 2008 - 07:41pm
Thanks super, here ya go: Number Three (aka D'Anna Biers) Number Five (aka Aaron Doral) Number Six (aka Caprica-Six/Head Six/Gina) Number Eight (aka Sharon "Boomer" Valeri) Leoben Conoy (Model Number Unknown) Brother Cavil (Model Number Unknown) Simon (Model Number Unknown) Samual T. Anders (Starbuck's husband) Galen Tyrol (the Chief) Tory Foster (President's assistant) Saul Tigh (Adama's XO)

Moore Talks More BSG Final Season in EW - Jan 08, 2008 - 07:14pm
I just had another thought about the possible mystery cylon. Has anyone thought about maybe it could be Cain? I think of when D'Anna (#3) saw the final 5 in bright lights in the Temple of the Five, and looked at the one in particular (assuming it wasn't the ones we already know about), she asked it for forgiveness. It would make sense since the Cylons, being more or less a collective, Gina betrayed her on the Pegasus without knowing the truth and D'Anna was apologizing for her. My reasoning may be a stretch, but it would be a HUGE shocker if it were Cain. Just a thought.

Moore Talks More BSG Final Season in EW - Jan 08, 2008 - 10:15am
I would venture a guess that the knife the Chief is holding will find it's way, or at least attempt to find it's way inside his child. Since finding out he is a Cylon doesn't mean his programmed mission has kicked in, his emotions and guilt will kick in for sure that he has created what he would consider a monstrosity. Or that could be his mission from the new group of Cylons, that they may not want a human/cylon hybrid. As far as the empty chair, I would agree with the Zarek theory. What better way to bring down the human race than to work your way up through it from the bottom, gaining support, which he has pretty much done. Also, that particular side of the picture displays a more hierarchy presence than the other side, whereas the other side are more the grunts exluding Adama of course. But the top leaders flanking the turmoil in between represents well.

Fly Oceanic and Get LOST - Jan 07, 2008 - 09:52am
I'm looking forward to this too. I read an interview with Matthew Fox over the weekend and he pretty much summed up what I expected to see this coming season. Particularly giving me the feel that no matter what, the Twilight Zone-style mystery that has made this show more than worth watching for me, is not going away anytime soon. Also brought up the questions of "What is this island, where is this island, WHEN is this island?" He was only being rhetorical or course, but the "when" part alone makes what's to come sound completely awesome if they go, even slightly, towards that route. I think, and hope, we're in for another really good mind-screw. It's what I always look forward to in this show.

USA Network Cancels 4400 and DEAD ZONE - Dec 21, 2007 - 05:57am
Agreed narpin. I thought the exact same thing. Since Journeyman is getting the axe, put it on right afterwards. The audience would most likely transfer and would continue to gain ratings. It is one of few shows these days, IMO, with a decent story and they seem to strive to keep consistancy. I want to know what other abilities have developed and was hoping to eventually see what exactly the human race evolved into to cause the whole thing to begin with. Sad news indeed.

LEGEND Opens Big in IMAX - Dec 19, 2007 - 05:00pm
Well put mad. (spoilers below, also) I would like to add that I thought the "leader" wasn't really a leader, but the mate, or something of that nature, of the female he captured. It went into the daylight not thinking about the daylight, and yes, they clearly had some degree of intelligence. They weren't just mindless zombies, which is what I kind of worried about going into the movie.

LEGEND Opens Big in IMAX - Dec 18, 2007 - 07:42pm
Will Smith has never disappointed me. I saw this for the second time tonight and enjoyed it as much as I did the first time just 3 days ago. Plus, the previews give you a great idea that it is obviously post-apololyptic and a LOT of people enjoy watching that kind of thing the same way a lot of people are infatuated with some really bad car accident they just drove by and slowed down to rubber-neck at. Even if it does have a drop-off in the coming weeks, I bet it'll level off and remain steady during it's theatrical run.

Rice-A-Roni To Save JOURNEYMAN - Dec 17, 2007 - 01:12pm
Hate to say I told ya so, but I told ya so. I read and posted about this a few weeks ago. I also thought there were supposed to be poker chips sent, not Rice-A-Roni. This is a great show and I agree with Quatch, a better time may have helped it grow a little better. The other problem is Jericho was able to show a full season. Journeyman barely has half that filmed now. So the odds on any campaign actually working are slim to none at this point no matter how much rice anyone sends to the Nazis that be.

First Five Minutes of THE GOLDEN COMPASS - Dec 04, 2007 - 11:32am
I agree. Although I don't consider anyone a nutjob unless they're holding an in-depth conversation with a blade of grass, I think it's a shame that open-minded people are growing few and far between these days and if someone feels a movie is offensive, they need to make sure everyone knows about it. I don't care. There were people outside one of our theaters Saturday for an advanced screening handing out religious fliers and will probably be there for it's opening this weekend. Again, I don't care. It's a movie. And before anyone says I'm a hypocrite for not accepting religious fliers when I'm talking about having an open mind about stuff, I ask why they aren't there every other day of the year? It's the fact common sense would tell you they're there because of a movie. I'll get off my soapbox now, but I'll leave on this food for thought: when Passion of the Christ was released, you didn't see athiest groups outside theaters handing out fliers professing their non-belief in God. Can't wait to see this myself.

Hanks Updates on THE PACIFIC - Dec 03, 2007 - 10:32am
BoB was one of the best mini-series of all time. I've watched it several times. Some of the things that happen in it still get me. Supurb acting and realism. I totally welcome another story about another part of WWII. I may actually have to resubscribe to HBO to be able to see it. Waiting for the DVD release may not be good enough for me this time.

NBC Orders Full Season for CHUCK & LIFE - Nov 27, 2007 - 10:40am
Chuck is a great show. Being a tech geek and Best Buy being my favorite store (also having worked there in the past), it totally captures everything that makes a show like that great. Parody humor, witty dialogue, and, oh dear God the hot secret agent. Journeyman is another great show, reminiscent of Quantum Leap. The concept it great and the acting is well done. Unfortunately, I read yesterday that NBC hasn't picked it up and the mid-season finale 2-parter may be the series finale, and we may not even get to see the 2nd part. I say we start another online rally to save it before it makes a trip it won't return from.

Gellar Asked on Possible BUFFY Return - Nov 15, 2007 - 11:48am
Buffy, Angel, and, Firefly are my top favorite shows of all time. Although Firefly was short-lived, it still holds a very similar legacy that Buffy and Angel hold. The Buffy season 8 comics seem to be doing pretty well, but it would be excellent to see them put to screen as they are written with the same class & sass that the series was known for. That said, I would agree with more Buffy as long as SMG did it. She made the character who she was and that's what made it worth watching, then buying every season on DVD. I agree with what zack2366 said. Serenity worked very well on screen. If they can bring her back, along with (hopefully) Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan and Anthony Head, a movie would be well received. I doubt the studios would lose a thing on the investment.

Mark Wahlberg Shoots as MAX PAYNE - Nov 09, 2007 - 10:34am
The bullet time effects were one of the major boasting points of the game, aside from the awesome story. And that effect never gets old to me. I can see Mark as Max, especially if you remember him being in The Big Hit. Awesome, but totally underrated flick as well. We know he can handle some rockin' firepower that Max is known for.

Greenwood Captains Crew in STAR TREK - Nov 08, 2007 - 01:00pm
Good pick for Pike. Bruce Greenwood is awesome. Been in a lot of stuff, but he starred in one of the first GOOD modern conspiracy-based shows way back when called Nowhere Man. Great show till it got cancelled right after we found out part of who was behind the conspiracy. My first thought on Rachel Nichols when I saw her pics was Yoeman Rand as well. But skyhawk had a good thought about Carol Marcus too. That would be a nice little mini side story to hear about since most people who know ST know who that is.

WGA Update: 2008 Film Schedule Covered - Nov 05, 2007 - 03:47pm
Just gives me time to catch up on all my TiVoed shows and movies I've bought and haven't had time to watch.

Update: WGA Meeting Set For Sunday - Nov 02, 2007 - 10:40am
I thought the same thing monster, but then I thought about what if those writers DO get used, then they want to join the writer's guild eventually. The second they do anything while the strike is going on, they are blacklisted by the current members, will not be elected as members if they wanted to be, and probably won't get any work after the strike.

Vanderbilt Writing SPIDER-MAN 4 - Oct 31, 2007 - 08:19am
I like the Kraven angle as well, Wess. And I can see, and probably get nuked for saying this, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson portraying him. That was the person that immediately came to mind as soon as Kraven was mentioned.

Teresa Palmer Lands WONDER WOMAN Role? - Oct 26, 2007 - 11:09am
Charisma Carpenter will always be my first choice as well. But oh well. I think WB will fast track this into development, but have it's release either coincide with the ending of Smallville or get it out with Smallville still on the air. That way they know people will go see it so since Smallville's popularity hasn't faltered a whole lot. And no matter what the casting choices are, those that are at least Smallville fans, like myself, will see it since they have already gotten used to the changing concepts to what we've grown up with and know. Changing things isn't always bad as long as it's entertaining, but we'll see what the movie actually brings. Besides, WW doesn't have to be about looks. Screen presence is the key for it to be successful, and that'll be with any of the casting choices. As long as they can act the part, given a little imagination, it'll be ok. I just hope the Wonder Twins don't make an appearance in any way, shape, or form.

Cullen Confirms TRANSFORMERS Trilogy - Oct 15, 2007 - 03:31pm
One of the things that make a sequel work better is the return of certain characters/actors. In this case, I have to agree with Dallas. Bringing her back as the SecDef's advisor would be sensible, not to mention for her hotness. As would bringing back some of the muscle, i.e. Josh Duhamel's character, especially, unless I was mistaken, Ironhide dropped him off at his house, so he would possibly belong to him to maintain the cover. And for those Shia haters out there, he was originally credited as Spike for this movie, which is also from the original cartoon as Spike Witwicky, so his return would be sensible as well. Megan Fox's return would be nice for more eye candy, but she isn't needed unless there is some kind of story they need to tell from her side, maybe relating to her Dad stealing cars, which could've been Autobots, giving a little more reason behind Bumblebee being matchmaker for them. I know REALLY stretching that one. And of course, noone other than Peter can do Optimus. Anyway, I doubt anyone that at least enjoyed this one will deny wanting more movies made.

TRANSFORMERS - 2 Disc Special Edition - Oct 15, 2007 - 03:05pm
Yeah, he took off after the acting credits, just before the rolling credits. That was usually what happened in the original cartoon as well. If Starscream wasn't failing Megatron miserably, he was running away. Would definitely make for a great lead-in to the next movie.

SERENITY Sequel on the Horizon? - Oct 05, 2007 - 07:54pm
Universal has a cash cow with Serenity/Firefly. No matter what medium they decide to put the sequel/prequel on, it'll sell big. I also saw the movie several times in the theater and have watched the series so many times, the DVD player has practically memorized the discs. And it never gets old. I know I made several of my friends fans by getting them to buy the series after just watching an episode or two. It was like an epidemic I spread. Joss is the master of writing and directing sarcasm and wit. The cast was perfect and there's a WHOLE lot of story left to tell. This is just awesome news no matter how you look at it.

Lindelof Talks Season 4 of LOST - Oct 02, 2007 - 10:47am
That's exactly what I thought about doing with Walt. I'd honestly be happy if they didn't explain off the smoke monster. I know they've given a little more away about it each season, but for me, it remains one of the things from the beginning that still has a creep factor and still scares the crap out of people, both survivors and audience. I still think back to what it did to the pilot, or at least what we were meant to believe it did to the pilot. That's enough for me. I just hope to God that smokey doesn't turn out to be something like Jacob's pet or some crap like that.

Jordan Bridges Falls For BIONIC WOMAN - Sep 28, 2007 - 11:07am
My review will remain a little simpler: 2 hot chics kicking the crap out of each other in the rain. That never gets old.

Update: Jessica Biel Out of WONDER WOMAN - Sep 25, 2007 - 01:10pm
I'll agree with Watcher on the Charisma Carpenter point. She'll always be who I envision WW as looking like, both body and looks. Way back when Joss Whedon was originally attached to this, I thought her being considered was the perfect option. And even if she is older age-wise, Hollywood make-up artistry is an amazing thing.

Fox Reveals Day 7 Details for 24 - Sep 20, 2007 - 10:50am
Does that mean we'd start seeing cheap Vegas Palmer impersonators then? Let's not forget Curtis. Of all the characters that have died, or appeared to have died in this series, I would think he would've gotten the respect of the silent clock had he actually been killed off. We never saw him in a body bag or anything and only Chloe said in passing Curtis was killed, but she said it in typical Chole-cynical fashion. I was waiting most of last season for him to show up for some Jack-saving event or something. His character was awesome and if they're going to do this with Tony, I would hope it's possible for Curtis as well.

THE 4400: The Great Leap Forward Season Finale - Sep 18, 2007 - 10:57am
Yeah, hopefully he doesn't look at a picture of the moon too long. His character wouldn't last much longer. I agree, although I enjoyed it, the episode did seem to cut some corners for the sake of either getting it all in the span of an hour, or open it up for more important stories, like the possibility that this whole thing may be leading to the whole reason we evolved to begin with and how the world became what it became for them to abduct 4400 people to begin with. And my only other question is how did the future know that these 4400 people wouldn't die? Absurd question I know, but if they knew, then there's definitely a way and reason for them to figure out who will live and who will die when given promicin, other than Dr. Burkhoff's test. Kind of makes me wonder if the future may have taken 8800 people instead and figured out the hard way themselves, which is why Jordan is against the 50/50 test. I ask this because I'm still unclear who's the good and who's the bad in all this. Sometimes I agree with Jordan, sometimes I agree with Shawn. Hard to tell who's intentions are heroic or deceitful. Just my thoughts.

Uhura Cast & Plot for Abrams' STAR TREK? - Aug 31, 2007 - 11:09am
I enjoy the time warp plots. Let's not forget about The Voyage Home. Still one of the best of TOS movies next to Wrath of Kahn. The plot device works if done right and with a little imagination. But to me, if it is going to work right in this case, they almost have to have Shatner in it. If for any other reason than to give him a respectful "send-off" since this reboot is pretty much going to wipe him out of the universe all together. But either way, it'll be cool to see more of the beginnings of the whole thing.

Quinto & Nimoy Talk SPOCK - Aug 20, 2007 - 10:41am
Well, they haven't boldly gone where no man has gone before in a long time. So as long as they throw in the key elements that make it Star Trek, i.e.- decent story, some decent space action, and overacting, I'll definitely be there. But even without the overacting, I'm sure it be just as good. Abrams has done little to disappoint me yet.

INDIANA JONES 4 Update: New Video - Aug 14, 2007 - 10:48am
I agree. They could make the title Indiana Jones and the Quest for Feces and I'd still see it.

Fox Says Yes to VOLTRON - Aug 10, 2007 - 11:23am
Right on troop, you took the words right out of my mouth. There was a report last year that a Starblazers movie was in the works, but nothing since. I wonder with the way things are these days if they'd get away with calling it the Yamato. Maybe that is going to be the story for the ID4 sequel.

NBC Gets New Supernatural Show - Aug 06, 2007 - 11:23am
It's a shame the "big" networks didn't catch on back when Joss Whedon was still hot with Buffy and Angel. My thought was always that these networks felt these shows were too risque, or safe, for their networks, so they would not want them because they'd lose ratings. But a lot of people want these shows. It also doesn't help that these networks tend to put their 2 cents in too much about the process and creativity of the shows and screw them (i.e.- Firefly) from the beginning so they have absolutely no chance of survival. But Wess, love your idea. Lets give Joss a call and it'll work beautifully.

Johannessen Takes Over MOONLIGHT - Aug 02, 2007 - 03:25pm
Uh, I'm probably not the first to make this comment, but can anyone say Angel Season 6?
