THQ has announced that it has closed a deal to have Thomas Jane provide the voice for THE PUNISHER in its upcoming video game, currently in development. This will mark the second occasion that the actor has assumed the mantle of Marvel Comics' gravelly voiced anti-hero; Jane played the role of the on-screen Punisher in the Lions Gate film released earlier this year. The game is slated for release on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles in January 2005.
"Thomas Jane's contribution to the game reinforces our goal to incorporate the best of everything Punisher," said Dan Cermak, Vice President of product development for Volition Inc., the game's developer. "He will help ensure the game rips Frank Castle from the pages of Marvel and brings him to life."
