It seems that Amy Adams is one of the stars shooting scenes in Plano, Illinois this week for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. Some more set pics and a video have arrived with Adams in her Lois Lane duds. Check them out below courtesy of SHH and check out a new set video with the actress shooting a gas station scene here.

In this latest adaptation of the best-selling superhero, Henry Cavill plays Superman in director Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel." The film also stars Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Diane Lane and Kevin Costner star as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Julia Ormond, and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe. Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy.

Man of Steel flies into theaters June 14, 2013.

I like it. I'm also sort of glad that they're by-passing Non, at least so far. Start new and disregard any temptation to acknowledge Donner's work and creations. This film will be a winner

I hope that they plan on dying Adams' hair. Not a big issue but the more faithful the better

She looks just as attractive as ever. She still doesn't look like my image of a Lois Lane but will wait and see. Many were outraged with Heath Ledger as Joker or action movie regular Karl Urban as McCoy for Star Trek and they worked out.

I'm just hoping that this is better than the last Supe movie - that was the most boring superhero movie ever made.

how faithful do you want them to be? they've already strayed from the beaten path by casting fishburn to play perry white.

I hope they darken her hair as well. And I was hoping to see her in more professional attire.

A great actor like Amy Adams can still only work with what she is given.  The real question is how will the script treat Lois Lane.  I would prefer a smaller part for Lois than in Returns and wouldn't it be nice if, just once, the female lead in a superhero movie didn't end up as the hostage in the climax of the movie.

I really don't know too much about this bird, apart from the fact she has a big bum!

InnerSanctum 8/16/2011 12:45:52 PM

I down with a strawberry blonde Lois.  As long as she captures the spirit of the character.  Now supes 50's/Jersey Shore hair is something else.

Tallman:  Big bum?  Are you kidding?  Surely you are.  She is a very talented actress and cute as a button.

Not that you were implying anything, but I always find it funny that posters on here pick apart women that they could never get in real life.  I've heard actresses called "horse face",  "ugly" (when they are quite beautiful), etc.  Just find that odd.

InnerSanctum 8/16/2011 12:47:53 PM

Wiseguy:  Kind of hard for them to be bypassing Donner's creations if General Zod is in the film.  My biggest gripe about the film.  With so many villians to choose from they go with a Donner villian.  Not much distancing.

Amy Adams' ass should have its own credit in her films.  So nice...
