I'm surprised they're waiting so long to put these movies together. At this rate, they're going to have to re-cast all the parts by the 3rd or 4th movie.

It's only going to be two-and-a-half years between the first movie and the second. That's not too long given that Disney didn't know how well the first would perform at the box office, so they didn't greenlight any of the sequels until they saw how well the first one performed. I haven't read the novels, but my understanding is that Prince Caspian is the only other one installment where the kids appear as kids - they would need to be recast as young adults in the later movies anyway. It's good to see they've got the same director helming all three of the first movies. Narnia was one of the better movies of last year, this way there should be a consistancy of vision through at least the first couple of sequels.

The timing of the movies' releases actually seem like they will work well with how the children are supposed to age in the books. Peter and Susan will only be in Prince Caspian before they will be "too old" to return (sounds a bit like Neverland don't you think?). Edmund and Lucy get to stick around until the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Ziroc, Thanks for the info. I've never read any of these. It will be interesting to see how audiences react to knew characters. Does the Lion show up in all of them?

This movie made me wish I had read the books, I only caught onto it because I remembered watching the BBC series years ago, can't wait for a sequel
