LONDON, UK, 15th December 2003?ADV Films today announced a 19th January 2004 release date for the first ever DVD release of Gamera; Attack of Legion, starring the immense fighting turtle Gamera. Popularized in Japan in a series of films in the 1960s, Gamera was brought back in the 1990s, combining the heart of the original titles with new actors, new plots and cutting-edge special effects. ADV?s release includes both English- and Japanese-language versions, with English subtitles.
Gamera: Attack of Legion was directed by Shusuke Kaneko, from a screenplay by Kazunori Ito, screenwriter of the legendary anime film Ghost in the Shell, with special effects by Shinji Higuchi.
The Story:
A freak meteor shower near Sapporo, Japan brings with is more than just a killer light show. Electrical problems, over-grown plant life and a whole slew of rather irritable critters also drop in to threaten the human race. Local science instructor Midori Honami (Miki Mizuno) is called to assist the brave Colonel Watarase (Toshiyuki Nagashima) in the military?s oft-confused attempts to save mankind. They must find a way to successfully combine efforts with their reptilian protector, or both will face ultimate destruction from the Earth?s bugged-out invaders. Join the battle as Gamera and his bipedal pals work to repel the Attack of Legion!

Directed by Hiroshi Watanabe (Orphen, Kiki?s Delivery Service) King of Bandit Jing is based upon a manga of the same title by Yuchi Kumakura, detailing the adventures of Jing, a youthful and charming Robin Hood-esque bandit who travels from town to town, stealing valuables and hearts in equal measure. Along for the ride is his randy wiseacre albatross companion, Kir, who is constantly getting the pair into difficulties.
The Story:

Jing and Kir arrive in Blue Hawaii, a harbor town terrorized by a ghost ship. With the help of a local cop named Rose, whose father has fallen prey to the spell, Jing and Kir infiltrate the ship and expose it for what it really is in this parable of human greed.

GOTHIC ACTION-HORROR SERIES DRAWS FINAL BLOOD ON 19TH JANUARY 2004

A bloody blend of vampires, gunplay and Gothic England (that?s Gothic as in Slimelight, not Byron), Hellsing was enthusiastically received by viewers in Japan, US and Australia, and has taken the UK by storm.
