"Adventure Team G.I. Joe"

“Kicking it old school,” is putting it mildly when it comes to the re-release of the 1970s classic Adventure Team G.I. Joe action figure. Complete with Kung-Fu Grip, this Joe is only available at Hot Topic stores across the country.
For those who remember the original figure when it was released in 1974, this re-release is a splitting image of the classic 12-inch doll. The Joe comes in coffin style packaging, BDU camouflage, original cover art, pistol, Kung Fu Grip and of course the fuzzy beard and hair. In comparison to the 12-inch dolls of today this figure is nowhere near to what we’re used to, but this figure is all about remembering the early days of your adolescence. The doll also serves as a reminder of how the country had a Kung-Fu craze during the 70s. Even though its Kung-Fu Grip is mediocre at best, the figure surprisingly has multiple points of articulation. Hasbro with their G.I. Joe line is arguably the creator and originator of the action figure and the proof of that lies with this doll, as it is unforgettable and a piece of pop culture history.
For the millions of G.I. Joe enthusiasts out there, this is a must have figure as it pays homage to the original doll and to the classic 12-inch Joe dolls before the popular 3 ¾-inch figures came in and changed everything for action figures. To add more to your nostalgic fix, Hasbro even threw up the original 1974 commercial of the Kung-Fu Grip figure on their website. Check it out here. [http://www.hasbro.com/gijoe
