Affleck Heading to TOWN

Actor to Rewrite, Direct and Star in Heist Romance.

Warner Bros. is in talks with Ben Affleck to direct and star in THE TOWN.  Affleck will also look to rewrite the script.

The dark heist-romance revolves around a  high-tension love triangle between a female bank manager, a longtime thief who stole more than her heart and an equally smitten FBI agent trying to bust the crook and his gang before they can pull another big job.

GK Films' Graham King will produce the film.

Most recently Affleck directed his first film GONE BABY GONE. He also won an Oscar for writing with friend & fellow actor Matt Damin for GOOD WILL HUNTING.

Reminds me of Out of Sight a little bit. He did do a decent job with Gone Baby Gone. As long as he stays behind the camera only, who knows.

Affleck was the bomb in Phantom yo! He did a damn good job with Gone Baby Gone and he was really good in Hollywoodland. He is a good actor but has just done some wack movies. This does sound a little like Out of Sight.

Out of Sight was GREAT. I think it's Clooneys' best film. Lo in, aside from U-Turn of course;-) I really enjoy Elmore Leonard books. All of his books have a gritty noir vibe to them which are excentuated by his knack for dialogue. If you are talking about the one or both DAMON and AFFLECK and cant remember their names, just say..the "GOOD WILL HUNTING" guys....the TALENTED one and the UNTALENTED one . EVERYONE will know which is which......NO DOUBT
