In an interview with CINESCAPE's own Michael Tunison, the new Jack Ryan, Ben Affleck, talked about his hopes for the next film in the series, RED RABBIT, and his experiences on THE SUM OF ALL FEARS.
"I haven't signed for any more, no," Affleck told us. "The reality is like any movie Hollywood's basically success-driven. If the movie does well, if people go see it, then they'll want to do another one. If it doesn't, it's like, 'Why, Lord, why did we go with Affleck?'"
While Affleck has not been officially signed yet, Paramount head Sherry Lansing told this magazine in June she's eager to get him back for RABBIT, and the studio has already signed SUM co-star Bridget Moynahan, who played Ryan's future wife, Cathy.
RABBIT, according to longtime Ryan author Tom Clancy, was written as an intentional prequel to the other Ryan books, with an eye towards Affleck staring.
