Imwith u Darthbob.  Gonna give it a few more eps and if I still feel the same I'll drop it and perhaps go back to it once the season is done.

Being a Marvelite is keeping me on this show as I've been wanting a Marvel U show for so long, I want to keep supporting it. But I do agree it lacks a little umph.

I think it's the characters. They just don't have any zest except for maybe Phil.

Not sure why Whedon went ahead to create new characters. Perhaps it would have been better had there been known SHIELD agents like Sharon Carter and Clay Quatermain?

I think of Smallville as a comparison. It was exciting to see a DC show on TV with references to the characters. But season 1 got really stale quickly as each epiode would be predictable, fhe week, one episode resolution. Some characters were lame lile Lana, Pete Ross. But the series got better when they beefed up John Glover's role, added Erica Durance as Lois and of course Green Arrow and the Justice League (sort of) with Jon Jonzz, Aquaman and the JSA with Hawkman. I stuck with Smallville until the end and enjoyed the final seasons. I'm hoping SHIELD does the same.

I really think they should serialize it like the best tv dramas do.  I didnt watch this weeks episode other than the bra/panties scene but I dont feel ive missed out on anything going into the next episode.

Agree. Best shows on TV the past decade have been the serial dramas/action.

That's why NCIS, CSI and other shows like that are crap (yet have an audience). It's the serial stuff that gets top recognition.

Breaking Bad, Homeland, Game of Thrones, Lost, the Wire, Walking Dead.

You mean like Frosted Flakes?, that's still my favorite

Great review! I personally think that this episode was way better than the previous four episodes as it seems we are finally getting a story arc and Skye's character is better developed in this episode.  I also liked Scorch's character as the scene where he suddenly goes on a rampagne was quite intense! I just hope that the show continues to improve in the future.

This series has been boring so far. Sky is easily the worst character I've ever seen Whedon produce, and I keep hoping she gets sucked out of the plane's toilet at 30,000 feet. The only likable characters so far are Fitz and Simmons, so you know they'll be killed off by Whedon at some point. Ming Na's character and Abercrombie Secret Agent Jr. are almost as horrible as Sky, but somehow they keep their cliched characters slightly more interesting than her. Then we come to Coulson...loved him in the movies, but the 'mystery' surrounding him on the show doesn't work well, because the weekly plots are just so damned boring.

Thank Buddha, that Grimm starts this week.

 I'm sorry
Homeland Boobs and lite mystery

Breaking Bad durgs and crazy science

Game of Thrones Boobs and blood

Lost... I don't know shinny things and the ability to affect the show through the forums?

never seen the wire

Walking Dead... kitsch yuppie zombie fad.

NCIS I have always enjoyed though I haven't watched in seasons because of the characters.

Hawaii Five-0 a show which I enjoy the characters on, keep trying to have these series over arching serial plots, which is so off putting as they are over done, overly dramatic, and not all that interesting. If they focused a little more on interesting one of stories the show would have done better.

Agents of SHIELD needs to connect with it's roots a bit, but also produce decent one of episodes, the issue with the Marvel franchise on TV is people expect awesome sauce constantly because well that is what you got in theatres for the better part of a decade.

Something like Arrow is easier because DC as had crap in the way of films and so anything is an improvement.

I'm willing to give it a little more time, I kinda liked this episode.
