I am more of a college sports fan since free agency became so prevalent in pro sports.  When I was a kid, you knew players would retire with the team they started with.  Now, it seems to take half a year to realize who went where.  So haven't watched a full pro sports game (other than the Super Bowl) in years.

Oh yeah, looking forward to Agents of SHIELD.  In Joss I trust.

I think I'm about the only one out there rooting for the Heat.  Everybody hates LeBron James for taking a better job, and I don't blame him one bit.  Now I wouldn't have had the "Decision" interview or that silly unveiling party in Miami, but that's just me.  Let the guy have his fun.

I also really love Tim Duncan and the Spurs (mainly thanks to David Robinson), so I won't really be upset whoever wins.  I just want to see Game 7 be a great game (don't think they can top the Game 6 ending).

Nobody blames Lebron James for taking a better job.  Everyone blames him for trying to take the easy way out and get a bunch of all-stars to make it easier for him to win a championship instead of actually working hard to do it himself and making a mockery of the NBA while he's at it.

Don't really care about organized sports any more and used to be huge fan of football and baseball. Most of these guys are over paid thugs whose sense of entitlement and arrogance makes me want to gag. Doping scandals, rape charges, dog fighting, and just recently a Patriot's tightend is a poi in a murder. Doping has made most of their records (if not all) pretty much meaningless and a scam. So pardon me if I don't give shit about Lebron James.

Shogunn that was dumb.  Why wouldn't you want to build a good team.  TEAM is what it is all about.  Think about that.  You just yelled at him for not being selfish.

CalamityJohnson 6/20/2013 9:34:11 AM

no, shogunn has a point. most GREAT players manned their team and made the other players around them better. Jordan had his Bulls, Barkley had his Suns/76'ers, Ewing had his Knicks, etc. The superstars are the identity of their team. LeBron will never shed the fact that his championship was a threesome performance. For that fact alone, he'll never surpass Jordan as greatest ever until he walks away from the Heat.

What LeBron did was change how professional sports conduct business. The players manipulated who they played for rather than the teams/businesses. This isn't playground picking teams (even in that arena there is a sense of fairness because there's an every/other aspect to it). This is business and they circumvented it... and then made a mockery of it with that ridiculous and quite honestly, offensive "The Decision". Basically, it was a HUGE slap in the face of every Cavalier's fan and citizen of the state of Ohio. I'm a Californian, but damn if I didn't suddenly have a soft spot for the Cavs after that. Everyone who loves basketball outside of Miami who understands NBA thinks it was shady. I don't ever remember a team being more unanimously hated than the Heat. Yeah, people hate on the Lakers, Yankees, Patriots, etc, but nothing like this... and for good reason.
