Akira First Pressing Sells Out

In the week before the worldwide release of Akira on Blu-ray in the US, Bandai Entertainment has sent out notice that the first pressing run of the title has been sold out on the distribution level. The second press edition, which will not include the slipcover or the detailed full color thirty-two page booklet, will be available for distributors starting on March 10th. All retailers stocking this release will have the first press edition when it streets next week but no further copies will be available until the March 10th release which will be just the standard Blu-ray case edition with the same disc.
