WANTED comes home December 2nd (Article) - 10/14/2008 1:01:28 PM

For me this was one of the bigger letdowns of the Summer, the opening and ending action sequences were about the only good things about this film in my eyes.<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />The disapointing aspects include:<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />You have an army of hitmen, all with the same superpower, BULLET BENDING (Well Whoopity Damn Do) couldn't they have given some of the hitmen other abilities.<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />The fact that these super hitmen obviously work for an organization that has a lot of clout as it pretty much has its own office building as seen at the beginning of the film, yet we get to watch abunch of guys work in a dumpy, rundown, fabric factory most of the movie.<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />Not a likable character in the film, everyone in this film could have died in the end and I would not have cared. The main characters the whiniest douche, and you really just wished someone had killed him in the end.<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />The main characters continuous initiations, where he continually gets his a$$ kicked, felt like it took up about 20 minutes of the movie, and made you hate the characters even more.<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />The twist (those who saw the movie probably saw it coming a mile away).<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />The main characters annoying narration in the film.<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />The other movie that was somewhat depressing for me was Hellboy 2, I liked this a lot more than Wanted mind you, but basically they took everything that was cool about the first movie, threw it out, brought in the extras from Pans Labyrinth, and turned Hellboy 2 into a romantic comedy.

Michael Jai White (aka Spawn or more recently Gamble from The Dark Knight) would make a good Jim Rhodes/War Machine, plus if money was an issue with Howard they should really get White as he's not one of those actors who is going ask like $10-$15 million to be in a movie, or complain about his lack of Screen Time.

WB Moving Forward with I AM LEGEND Prequel (Article) - 9/25/2008 9:37:25 PM

I am for this a long as it is done as well as the first, this moving will be depressing as hell though as any other human characters who survive the initial outbreak will be picked off throughout the film, unless some try to leave New York and their fate is left ambiguous.

Toonami Signs Off (Article) - 9/23/2008 9:44:45 AM

Yeah the Pricks at Cartoon Network and Williams Street/Adult Swim, are really starting to piss off a lot of people, it would not suprise me if their overall ratings start dropping pretty soon over some of the crap they have done to their anime shows. Examples- 1- Naruto is one of Cartoon Networks biggest cash cows and now they are canceling the block that airs the show, and they are going to stream it online (Way to Go Morons). 2- They Finally get a new anime show Sorei No Mobito, air it for three weeks then push it down to a 5:30AM timeslot with no reairings, and put a whole slew of their comedy garbage earlier in the night, you know most of the same crap that gets aired on Sundays. 3- The Have a show like Code Geass which is a good and popular show, they put it on at varying times usually at 1:00AM or 1:30AM for the first twenty episodes, then for no reason at all, boom with Five episodes of the first season left they push the show down to 5:00AM with no reairings. "Cartoon Network has long been much more focused on original properties that they could merchandise and market themselves rather than relying on other properties so it's not exactly a surprise" That is complete bull as Cartoon Network makes shit for the most part that no one gives a rats a$$ about, the only reason they attracted viewers back in the day was their anime blocks. And its the same with Adult Swim, the only shows that get good ratings are either A-Shows they bought from Fox and run into the ground ie- Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, etc. B-Their anime lineup. Cartoon Networks original programming and Adult Swims comedy crap are mostly complete garbage with the exception of a handful of shows. The Exceptions are Transformers Animated, Venture Bros, Metalocalypse, and sometimes Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Funny no one is mentioning other new openers the praised Hamlet 2 and the R-Rated Comedy College, oh thats right because this weekends boxoffice take was so terrible for each neither even cracked the top 10. College- Which is a cheap (budget wise) raunchy comedy, came in a sad 15th place in the top 20, making a laughable $2.1 million on 2,123 screens. The film that probably suprised many with its floppage is Hamlet 2 the comedy made by the people who made Team America, and wowed the Sundance Film Festival. Yeah well this film which was "Supposed to be this years Napoleon Dynamite," did not measure up to the hype as it tanked, being released in almost 1,600 theaters and only making $1.6 million for the weekend, and coming in 17th place in the top 20.

For the record Babylon AD's budget was not a $90 million, its between $60-$70 million. Boxofficemojo has it listed at $70 million, imdb has it listed at $60 million, and Wikepedia has it listed at $65 million. Anyway the film had a disspointing opening, it'll probably make around $12 million for the 4 day weekend, I still have not seen it but I plan on it, it got panned by critics, but I don't care I still think it looks kind of cool. Basically I've heard the movie is like a Sci-Fi version of XXX so I will probably enjoy the movie.

Director Mathieu Kassovitz Upset About BABYLON A.D (Article) - 8/26/2008 10:46:58 AM

Please the movie looks pretty good, I've never heard of the book, this movie looks like an enjoyable Sci-Fi/Action, Vin Disel movie, I enjoyed Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick, XXX, and to an extent The Fast and the Furious, so I will definitely be seeing this. I figure this will be number one for the weekend probably pulling in a little under or a little over $20 million.

Typical internet bullying at its best, a bunch of web dwelling phucktards gang up on some buddy whose opinion is not the same as their own and get together like punks and make fun of them. This pretty much proves that most of the boards here are just as full of a$$holes as anyone else.

For the record hanso, I'm not gay/queer/a fag or whatever the hell freakin the homosexual community decides to call themselves now days. I would rather kill myself than kiss another dude, its freaking digusting. That aside I choose not to date because I don't want some woman annoying me all the time and trying to be the center of my universe, when I have other interests/hobbies. Also you obviously missed the part where I don't want to risk getting some girl pregnant (ie having my life seriously fucked up because someone did not know how to read the instructions on their birth control, or catch a damn disease which would also attribute to the fucking up of said life).

Unspecified Title (Article) - 8/21/2008 10:21:07 AM

I do, simply because I don't have that strong of a desire to, plus its more money for me to do whatever I want. People have actually told me I oughta try and date sometime, but I just tell them I don't want to, I don't want to be in a relationship with anyone. Besides as good as the whole sex thing might be its not worth getting a girl pregnant then getting stuck with her and a kid, and its not worth catching some disease either. Plus even if you sleep with a girl once as a kind of one night stand kind of thing, the girl usually wants some form of relationship afterwards, and its just not my thing.
