I hate fighting games and this one beats the cake. Absolutely lame!

I'm all in for merchandise tie-ins. Action figures are cool for kids as they can re-enact their movies. Even videogames that follow the story of the movies. But a fighting game between iconic characters like this? Shame on them. Tolkien is definitely rolling in his grave.

Looks like Dota 2.

 It's not a terrible idea necessarily but the execution here appears to leave a great deal to be desired.  

 That game would be awesome if it came preloaded on a pc with minesweeper, solitare and what not.

Or an okay $10 game.   I could get some use out of it.

 Maybe they should have just made Gauntlet: Lord of the Rings Edition.  With optional PvP multiplayer.
