Alan Moore in "The Simpsons"

Alan Moore is set to have his likeness show in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons.  Moore is viewed as one of the comic book industry's finest writers and is known for an enormous beard and long hair.

He will appear on the show in an episode that will see a new comic book shop open in Springfield to compete with that of Comic Book Guy. It is rumored that Moore will be signing at the new animated store.

The episode, entitled Husbands and Knives, has no set air date.

Somehow, I never pictured Alan Moore and The Simpsons together. Peanut butter and chocolate? Or peanut butter and spaghetti sauce? Time will tell. But I'll be watching.

Yeah, I can't see him wanting to associate with the show given downward turn the show has taken in the past couple of years. Futurama yes, Simpsons, no.

He'll get pissed off at how he's portrayed, say he doesn't want his salary, and boycott ever working with Fox again...

Kinda off topic, but since you mentioned Futurama, anyone know when it's switching to comedy central and when the new episodes are premiering??

as for futurama... its debut will be huge (I predict) its been such a long time, and people remember the whole Family guy fiasco... if Comedy Central has $.10 to promote the new Futurama show's... they'll make sure EVERYBODY knows when it'll start.
