Sega of America announced today that it has shipped ALIEN FRONT ONLINE, the first-ever console game to use voice-recognition, to stores.
ALIEN FRONT ONLINE puts players in the role of either the earthlings defending the planet, or the aliens attacking it. Using heavy tanks or mechs, players destroy enemy bases and units. With the voice-recognition, real-time strategies can be formed instantly.
"Throughout Sega's 40-year history, we have consistently raised the bar for console game development firsts, including the first 3-D fighting game, the first online multiplayer game, and the first game to use voice-recognition technology" said John Golden, director of product marketing, Sega of America. "In keeping with our plans to be the top third party publisher, Sega is raising that bar one notch higher with ALIEN FRONT ONLINE, the first console game ever to utilize voice-over-IP technology."
ALIEN FRONT ONLINE will be available at retailers nationwide for the MSRP of $29.99 and is rated "T" for Teen.
