Hiya, fellow Alphan! As you can see from my avatar, I'm a Space 1999 fan too!Still love that show after all these years(I have all of them on DVD), even though the science is a bit dodgy and the premise not so realistic. But the Moonbase Alpha setting and those lovely Eagles are so cool! Been a fan since I was 9 years old when the show first aired on TV.

I'm sorry I didn't answered earlier but I couldn't out of helath issues. But it was nice to hear from you. Space 1999 is nostagica for me. The series is an evergreen and I always watch some episodes a year. I own the british Season boxes and the german version. And now the series comes to Blu-Ray. And, of course, I already ordered it in England. Crazy... I know.
I was 14 years old when I first watched it in germany in 1978. But they never aired the complete series here. I watched the remaining 9 episodes when I bought the british DVDs early in the 21st century ;-) .
