Amalric Confirmed As BOND 22 Villain

Empire Online has confirmed the Fox News story on actor Mathieu Amalric playing the next villain in BOND 22. Mathieu Amalric recently finished work and received critical praise in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. The confirmed cast for the next 007 adventure is now Daniel Craig, Mathieu Amalric and Giancarlo Giannini. Director Marc Forster will be leading the production, based on a screenplay by Paul Haggis, Robert Wade and Neal Purvis.
No confirmed plot concept at this time but we know the film will begin 2 minutes after the end of Casino Royale.
BOND 22 will hit theaters November 7, 2008.

As for Amalric, I would've liked to have seen Goran Visnijc as the new villain, but Mads Mikkelson worked out well so I'm willing to give this guy a shot.
