Love it and have all along. I still think this movie is going to kill in the worldwide box office

I'm starting to think they're doing something completely new with Spidey, something close to Ang Lee's Hulk in that maybe there were some experiments conducted on him or his parents long ago that helped in his becoming Spidey....just because of what Dr Connors said about "do you think what happened to you is an accident?" and "do you know what you really are?"

The plot thickens and I can't freaking wait

Wise, I read a spoiler the other day talking about what you are saying.  Forgot where though.  Also read some spoiler stuff over on AICN regarding Gravity.  You should check it out.

As far as this flick goes, does anyone have any idea who is telling Connors(at least it looks like Connors) the line "Did you tell the boy about his father?"  It's at the 1:25-1:26 mark of the trailer.  Is that suppose to be Osborne or that guy that is suppose to be the Proto Goblin or whatever its called?

Wiseguy 5/4/2012 5:37:23 PM

Thanks for the heads up on GRAVITY. Not surprised, GDToro said even Cameron was amazed by what Cuaron was attempting and everything I've read to this point supports this guy's view, can not wait to see this. This along with Cloud Atlas and Life of Pi should make the second half of the year all kinds of awesome. These are deep films with the lure of eye candy, good for your soul and satisfying

Couldn't tell who the cat in the trailer was but you're probably right about it being VanAdder since as far as I know no Norman Osborn has been cast. My guess has been that the Proto Goblin is the main villain for the sequel

So many on Mania have been wondering how well The Avengers and TDKR will do at the box office in comparison to each other that this movie, The Amazing Spiderman has been lost in the shuffle.  I agree with you Wise, I too think that this is going to do astonishing numbers in theaters and be a great movie as well.  This is the 3rd movie of the 4 big ones that I plan on seeing after Avengers and Prometheus.  I'll let you all guess what the 4th movie will be!

Wiseguy 5/4/2012 8:08:13 PM

Well KD I'm gonna guess..........Magic Mike?:)

I'm so amped for this movie. Wise i think you are totally right on the story progression as well. After the Avengers I don't know how I can take anymore and Spidey Looks like its ready to deliver on so many levels. I will say this much though I honestly never could say i had a favorite movie until i saw the Avengers and now this Spiderman might be falling into my seconf favorite.

I'm looking forward to Battleship for some strange and odd reason. I'm gonna check gravity now for that article... and then i guess I should go see Avengers again today... It'll be my 4th time YAY!!!!
