CominngSoonTrailerz has released an Amazing Spider-Man Video Blog that features Rhys Ifans (Dr. Connors/ The Lizard) and director Marc Webb discussing the character.

Plot Concept: The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man swings into 3D/2D/IMAX theaters on July 3, 2012.

This look better and better everyday!

Agree Red. Hope this one can keep the ball rolling on solid super hero movies this year.

Oh yeah! Very good choice for Connors, been praising this since the start. This is the Spiderman film I think we've all been waiting for.

When I saw the Avengers opening weekend, there was an Amazing Spiderman trailer before it.  It was not anything we have not seen on the net or here.  Just a mash up of all the trailers released to date.

The following week I saw the Avengers there was a new trailer for Spiderman.   This one was full of action scenes and a lot of 'Lizard chase Spiderman" cuts.  It really put the word "Amazing" in the title.   This made me go from some what excited to "I can't wait" for this thing to come out!

That actually made the movie look worse for me. I keep saying this: I hope I'm wrong about this movie.

@Mossy I've seen that trailer. I believe it's around online as trailer 3. The effects of the Lizard and how he moves look very realistic and quite flawless from what you see.

Pure awesomeness, I love seeing the change of opinion of so many. Glad about it too.

I'm still picking this to beat out TDKR for worldwide box office this summer

Picking spider man for worldwide box office? It looks awesome but I highly doubt it will make the top 3. Avengers will be #1, tdkr #2, and you have to throw in a animated feature for kids at #3, maybe brave. I say spidey comes in at 4.

On a side note, I am traveling Asia right now, and I see GI joe promotion everywhere

I'm not counting Avengers, that's the spring champion and probably the champ for the year.

Love everything that they did with the lizard except his head. Wish they would have given him the elongated snout like in the comics.

I know they probably wanted to go with the more realistic look but damn man this a comic book movie, give him the long snout and big teeth for the visual effect.
