American Idol Katharine McPhee is Wonder Woman?

According to Hollywood.com, American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee has become the latest front-runner to play Wonder Woman on the big screen.

The pretty Californian has overcome bronchitis, laryngitis and a fractured foot in recent weeks to perform on the American Idols Live Tour, and it seems her real-life heroics have impressed moviemaker Joss Whedon.

Hollwood.com claims that McPhee is among those hoping to land the coveted lead role. Other names that have been thrown around include Priyanka Chopra and Morena Baccarin

All three are way hot, but I always pictured WW a little taller and more athletic looking. She`s supposed to be an amazon, but a hobbit.

Priyanka Chopra is the hottest thing to come from the subcontinent since tandori chicken - I've seen a few Bollywood films of hers, and she can actually act as well as move and be hot...if athleticism is part of the pre-reqs, she'd bag it , no prob...

I still think Denise Richards would make a perfect WW, but I have to believe that Whedon knows what he is doing. All three of these women are definitely hotties, let's hope that whoever lands the role can act as well.

I agree. All of these women are hotties...I just hope they can bring the acting with them. If not, this will be another episode if Zena, late night reruns on syndacation. Denise Richards would have been good about 10 years ago, dont you think?

MORENA!! MORENA!! MORENA!!!

A: She can act.
B: She can do the athletics.
C: She's sexier than about 90% of the actresses working out there.
D: She's worked with The Whedon before.

It all adds up. Just take Inara (she has an air of superiority that has a regal quality but without conceit, she has a worldliness to her, she commands respect) and subtract the whore part, add some Greek mythology, and you've got Diana of Themscirya. Or is it Themiscyra? Maybe Themiscrya? Damn those Greeks!
